Karen is the best Wedding planner you will find in the Saint Louis area. She went above and beyond to make our wedding a memorable event. She treated our wedding like it was her own daughters and took care of everything. We truly wouldn't have known what to do without her. Karen, We know you had to do way more than what we discussed and we are truly thankful for all you did and for being our wedding planner.

While it was not a wedding, Karen just planned out destination family vacation for us. None of us wanted the chore of finding a rental house, setting reservations, and booking rental equipment. We told her the local, the criteria and the budget. Within days she scouted options, presented them with pro's and con's and after we all agreed, handled the booking of the house for 3 families (a total of 11 people), presented us with options on the rental of equipment and costs, and even had lists made for things that needed to be provided and/or shopped for on arrival. She worked with local vendors for entertainment options for the group (we chose para-sailing) and even had a list of local restaurants with reviews. No bickering among family members as to who did the most for our vacation because she basically did it ALL!
Seriously she should go to work for the welcome committee at this local.

I tried to plan my own wedding, but after meeting with some less than great vendors, I realized that I needed a professional! Karen came in and met with my then fiance' and I to talk about what we wanted and she pulled it off!
This is not just a job to her, she truly cares about her clients. My mom loved that she got to enjoy the day and catch up with out of town family instead of stressing over the wedding.
All of the vendors she recommended were awesome. We loved our caterer, dj, photographer, etc. We were so happy with everything.
There is so much that goes on during the engagement time that you can begin to get off track, not if Karen is planning your wedding! I always received reminders on payments due to vendors, when I needed to decide on a vendor, etc.
I was on a budget, so she searched around and found the best professionals for my budget.
She does it all!

Karen planned my graduation party. We have known her for years and my mom wanted to enjoy the day with family and friends without stressing over details.
Karen met with my parents and I and talked about everything we wanted, boy did she make that happen! She made my mom and grandma cry with all of the personal touches she added to my party.

Super creative!! I did not want a cookie-cutter wedding, she gave me incredible out of the box ideas and I used them all! She helped me create the wedding I have always dreamed of!
I knew I needed help with all of the vendors I wanted to have, along with my huge wedding party and 100+ out of town guests. She took care of it all and did it exceptionally well! My guests kept commenting on how personable she was and always had a smile on her face!

Even after five years, Karen still does a fabulous job with all aspects of a wedding! Five years ago, before her company started, she volunteered to decorate my reception hall. I told her the theme that I decided on and she flew with the idea. With out of town guests, I was not going to be able to see the final product until I walked into my reception the night of my wedding. I was so happy when the doors opened! The hall was so beautiful. Never once did I worry about putting this in her hands. I trusted her 100%. To put all of your trust into someone to take care of things for you for the most important day of your life says a lot about her. She was always dependable and honest. She showed so much creativity with the budget I had set. I will treasure the memory of walking into my reception that evening and being so amazed at the beautiful surroundings for the rest of my life!

It is an easy thing for the excitement of a newly engaged couple to turn into frustration when faced with the never ending amounts of choices and preparations necessary to make their wedding day the way they imagine it, more importantly to make their wedding day run smoothly enough that they can enjoy it. One choice that we made made all of the others much easier. When we picked Karen West as our wedding coordinator we found that all of the other decisions fell into place. Karen came prepared from the start with a myriad of options that we could choose from.

We really wanted a laid back, unconventional wedding that all of our friends and family could enjoy to the fullest. Sounds easy enough, but just like any other wedding it is a complicated thing to pull off. Karen is a very creative person who is unmatched in understanding what it is you want and tries her best to make it happen. She was never pushy (unless you were a vendor that was not living up to your end of the deal) and she gave us a sense of security that allowed us to relax on this often nerve racking day. At points during the day it felt as though she was a concerned older sister making sure that everything went perfect, and if she was ever stressed out about the florist, photographer or anyone else she never let it show to us. Needless to say we all enjoyed ourselves until the very last moments of the day. We know that it is a difficult task to get all of the ducks in row, but with Karen working quietly behind the scenes everything really looked easy. Even the weather was perfect and I wouldn’t be surprised if she had a hand in that as well

Karen from 4 Star Wedding Consulting assisted us with every single aspect of our wedding. She was very knowledgeable about vendors, and was able to really find us exactly what we wanted- all coming in under our budget! Her suggestions and ideas were extremely creative and helpful. I could not imagine having to plan my wedding without her. I would highly recommend 4 Star!
