The Ford Alumni Center offered a polished, elegant space for our wedding, complete with an organized, professional and friendly staff who put our wedding planning stress to ease. We loved the flexibility to have our ceremony outdoors in the courtyard and then move the festivities indoors for the rest of the evening. The facility is sparkling clean and doesn't need much decor to create a stunning ambience. Loved the light and bright feeling and we have some amazing photos that incorporate the beautiful architecture. Extra bonus for University of Oregon grads: how fantastic to get hitched at your alma mater!

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Ford Alumni Center. The building is breath-taking and, both being UO alums, it fit us perfectly. We primarily worked with Shawn when coordinating all the details for the wedding. He was extremely responsive via email and always available for phone calls and meetings as needed. This was key for me because I planned much of the wedding from Chicago with the help of my mother-in-law who lives in Eugene.

Shawn had tons of great ideas and was extremely helpful about getting all the sound and lighting equipment needed for the wedding. He was patient and really engaged with the vision we had for the wedding. He was also honest and upfront about any limitations (there were very few) that the venue or his staff had in regards to what we envisioned.

As the week of the wedding approached, Shawn kicked into high gear with us, agreeing to meet with us last minute to discuss a back-up "in case of rain" plan 5 days before the wedding. At the meeting, Shawn was attentive and more than willing to put our plan into action at the last minute, agreeing to let us hold off on making a firm decision until the morning of the wedding. Shawn and his staff seamlessly helped us work out all the kinks for the new indoor plan and were on hand to help us hang decorations and set up.

On the day of the wedding, Shawn and his staff had a brilliant idea to keep the curtains in the ballroom lowered so that guests wouldn't be able to see what awaited them while enjoying the ceremony in the atrium. As the ceremony ended and guests started to look around wondering what was next, the staff slowly raised the curtains and opened the ballroom doors, revealing the room for the guests. It was very dramatic and beautiful and such a great way to transition from ceremony to cocktail hour/reception.

I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with or a better venue for our wedding. I would highly recommend Shawn and his crew.
