This church has a beautiful place for a reception

What can I say about First United? Let's start out with the positive. Pretty much, the preachers are wonderful and the classes they have you take are extremely valuable. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of the clergy there and I would recommend going to church there.

HOWEVER, the wedding director there is a nightmare. She is absolutely terrible and extremely unprofessional. She was incredibly rude to my family, my husband's family, and the members of our wedding party during the rehearsal and the wedding. Even after the wedding, she started saying negative things about us to the other members of the church about our wedding. She is extremely inflexible with her wedding practices and was awful to work with. The venue is gorgeous, but unfortunately, it's not worth dealing with the wedding coordinator there. First Presbyterian might be a better option if you are looking to get married in Uptown.

We got along with all 11 vendors that worked on our wedding--even becoming good friends with our wedding planner. This was the only vendor I had real issues with. I hardly ever write a bad review about anyone, but seriously use this place with caution.
