When choosing a makeup artist for my wedding it was super important that they had the skill to apply makeup on different skin tones and textures because each of my bridesmaids all had a very different complexion. When I found Tanya and saw her reference photos I knew that I had found my artist. She is extremely professional, making sure to find out exactly what services you want and sending over an itinerary before hand.

On the big day, Tanya and her assistant were at our house bright and early ready to get started. They were super personable and had great conversations with each of us, even shared some cool places to check out in the area (and warned us about shooting cacti). Everyone’s makeup was absolutely perfect; they were sure to ask each individual specifics about their skin type and make up preferences before getting started. They even helped me into my dress and sent over a ton of pictures from the entire process.

Tanya absolutely slayed my wedding hair and makeup! I wanted a unique hairstyle (not really the typical bridal hair) and I couldn't be happier with how well Tanya listened and created a special and artistic look! Everything from the half-up bun to the boho braids, clip-in extensions, and floral accessories were all perfectly placed and stayed in place all day and night even on a windy day in Sedona. I was also super happy with my makeup look, which stayed in place on a hot (90 degree) day for an outdoor wedding where we hiked around quite a bit. Tanya also provided mother of the bride hair and makeup and was so sweet and patient with my mom and she looked beautiful! Working with Tanya truly could not have been easier, from booking to the trial and wedding day, she was very easy to communicate with and open to feedback during the entire process. Pricing was super reasonable and transparent which I found to be refreshing in the wedding industry after contacting so many vendors. I feel absolutely blessed to have connected with Faces By Amelia through a dear friend who was also getting her makeup done for my wedding. Amelia arrived at my home promptly at 7:30 am and she was so warm and very down to earth. She came with all her gear and with the snap of her fingers turned my kitchen into a makeup salon!! After setting up, she put some music on to set the vibe. She then transformed me into a beautiful bride in no time at all. You can tell without her saying a word how much she loves and enjoys making people feel absolutely beautiful!! She was so skilled and efficient that she was able to complete 3 full makeup faces in less than 3 hours. I received so many compliments on how beautiful I looked and I have Amelia to thank!!!
