Planning any event is stressful; planning a wedding across the country during a pandemic is a completely different level of stress. When I say that Tanya made my wedding day fabulous, I promise it is not an exaggeration by any means!
When choosing a makeup artist for my wedding it was super important that they had the skill to apply makeup on different skin tones and textures because each of my bridesmaids all had a very different complexion. When I found Tanya and saw her reference photos I knew that I had found my artist. She is extremely professional, making sure to find out exactly what services you want and sending over an itinerary before hand.
On the big day, Tanya and her assistant were at our house bright and early ready to get started. They were super personable and had great conversations with each of us, even shared some cool places to check out in the area (and warned us about shooting cacti). Everyone’s makeup was absolutely perfect; they were sure to ask each individual specifics about their skin type and make up preferences before getting started. They even helped me into my dress and sent over a ton of pictures from the entire process.
All in all, it was a true pleasure working with Faces by Amelia. 25/10 would definitely recommend! -

Tanya absolutely slayed my wedding hair and makeup! I wanted a unique hairstyle (not really the typical bridal hair) and I couldn't be happier with how well Tanya listened and created a special and artistic look! Everything from the half-up bun to the boho braids, clip-in extensions, and floral accessories were all perfectly placed and stayed in place all day and night even on a windy day in Sedona. I was also super happy with my makeup look, which stayed in place on a hot (90 degree) day for an outdoor wedding where we hiked around quite a bit. Tanya also provided mother of the bride hair and makeup and was so sweet and patient with my mom and she looked beautiful! Working with Tanya truly could not have been easier, from booking to the trial and wedding day, she was very easy to communicate with and open to feedback during the entire process. Pricing was super reasonable and transparent which I found to be refreshing in the wedding industry after contacting so many vendors. If you are looking for unique bridal beauty and professional wedding hair and makeup I highly recommend Faces by Amelia. Tanya is a true artist! -

I feel absolutely blessed to have connected with Faces By Amelia through a dear friend who was also getting her makeup done for my wedding. Amelia arrived at my home promptly at 7:30 am and she was so warm and very down to earth. She came with all her gear and with the snap of her fingers turned my kitchen into a makeup salon!! After setting up, she put some music on to set the vibe. She then transformed me into a beautiful bride in no time at all. You can tell without her saying a word how much she loves and enjoys making people feel absolutely beautiful!! She was so skilled and efficient that she was able to complete 3 full makeup faces in less than 3 hours. I received so many compliments on how beautiful I looked and I have Amelia to thank!!! I will definitely be using Faces By Amelia for all of my special events.

Beautiful Hair and Makeup and Good Vibes on your Wedding Day
Tanya and her team did such an amazing job on my girls hair and makeup. I couldn't have been happier! She came to my house for my trial and got to know me and my back story. She wanted to make sure to give me exactly what I wanted, giving suggestions and options. On my wedding day, I switched up my hair and it ended up even better than the trial. My makeup was flawless. Tanya was such a ray of sunshine and happiness. She calmed all my nerves and gave me such confidence going into one of the biggest moments of my life. I had the absolute pleasure of having Tanya as my bridal makeup and hair artist for my wedding day, along with doing my mom's hair and make up and younger siblings' hair. From the moment she stepped into my nana's house, Tanya exuded warmth, inclusivity, and professionalism. You heard that right, she came all the way to my grandmother's home to help me get ready for my wedding day.
As a plus-sized Latina bride, I had concerns about finding a makeup artist who understood my unique features and could make me feel truly beautiful on my big day. Many artist in Arizona have lots of white women on their portfolios, so when I across Tanya's --it was like a breath of fresh air. Tanya not only met but exceeded all my expectations. She has an incredible talent for enhancing natural beauty while ensuring every client feels confident and radiant.
What truly sets Tanya apart is her inclusivity and kindness. She made me feel seen and valued throughout the entire process, taking the time to understand my vision and preferences, to testing out my looks prior to my big day. Her expertise in makeup and hair styling is matched only by her genuine care for her clients that sit in her chair.
From start to finish, Tanya created a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. She played the best music, turning the getting-ready process into a fun and memorable experience. It felt like spending time getting ready with a friend rather than a vendor.
Tanya's dedication and attention to detail were evident at every step. She stayed by my side until my first look photos, ensuring that everything was perfect. When I encountered a wardrobe emergency, where I needed scissors to apply my boob tape, Tanya was right there, ready to assist without hesitation, with scissors in hand.

Tanya did my bridal makeup/hair as well as makeup for my bridesmaids and sister-in-law. Her and her assistant fit in like old time friends and brought such good energy and vibes to the getting ready process. Everyone looked like themselves but more fabulous. My makeup was so lightweight I had to remember I was wearing it, but it still held up the entire night. Also greatly appreciated finding a stylist who works with natural hair for us curly folks.

I am definitely not one to wear makeup ever due to the fact I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to it! Luckily for me I was recommended to Faces by Amelia Cosmetic Designs by a good friend! When she showed up to do my trial run, she drove all the way out to my place which is located on less than ideal dirt roads! She remained in contact at all times! Had answers to every question I had to include questions not even related to makeup as I was a nervous bride to be on figuring how to have the perfect day and perfect gifts for my now husband. Her and her partner kicked butt on my big day and I can honestly say I have never felt more beautiful! She didn’t make me look like someone I wasn’t either, I was me just with a touch of Glam! I couldn’t look at myself after she completed because I almost burst into tears because I couldn’t believe how beautiful I felt! I highly recommend her as she is dedicated and a master at her craft! She makes you feel comfortable and relaxed and I can honestly say I feel like I gained a friend from the experience! You will not be disappointed if you choose her for all of your make up needs!!! -

Amazing Results
I can only say good things about my experience. She was phenomenal from start to finish. She was super hygienic and cleanly the entire time. She wore a mask, used disposable products and sanitized numerous times throughout. She had lots of energy and asked me multiple questions to ensure she created the best look for me. My make up lasted 5+ hours in the heat and still remained perfect. She enhanced my natural beauty and created a look perfect for me couldn’t have asked for anything better! -

We really had a lovely morning with Tanya. She came to our location and spent all morning working on our beatification getting ready for my daughter’s afternoon wedding.
