I got married April 4, 2025 in Mazatlán and had the best wedding ever. I worked with Rosa Velarde from event solutions and it was THE best decision I made. After finding Rosa, I took a peek at her instagram to help me visualize what kind of work she’s done. Exactly what you see on her IG page is exactly what I got and as other guests at my wedding stated, “the pictures are gorgeous but you just had to be there”. I was between her and another wedding planner but what stuck out the most about Rosa was how fast she responded to my questions. She was very attentive and made moves!! I could easily write a 10 page paper about how amazing she was and how beautiful my wedding turned out but I’ll narrow it down to key points that left me, and my now husband, more than happy with her service:
Im from the US (Chicago) and have vacationed to Mazatlán before but don’t have any family that lives there. With this being a destination wedding and not knowing anything, Rosa provided ALL vendors to me. ALL her recommendations were top notch. (DJ, Food, bar service, light service, florist, venue, furniture). I made 1 trip to maza for the weekend to make big decisions like food, picking colors, picking furniture. She dedicated her time to us entirely and never rushed me or pushed a service onto us. She was fantastic about staying within our budget. For the rest of the wedding planning Rosa would FaceTime me or would message information through WhatsApp. I was a very indecisive bride but felt comfortable enough with her to express my feelings. She was really patient with all my last minute changes. With all the small details leading up to the big day…I was so nervous about how everything would turn out, I couldn’t see the big picture but trusted her word, until the day came! I walked into the venue asked Rosa’s assistant…is this mine?! Me, my husband, our family/friends were shocked with how amazing everything turned. EVERYONE commented on:
•How delicious the food was (people that don’t like fish were eating fish! lol)
•the DJ was bomb-we didn’t even give him a playlist!! We told him genres and he made it work! Not a dull moment on the dance floor.
•we had live music (banda)…SO GOOD!!
•MULTIPLE people came up to us saying… “did we have our own personal waiter? Because they were so attentive and always had a drink ready for me!”
•my family even commented on how attentive Rosa was. They didn’t know she was the planner but they commented on how she was handling business the entire day of the wedding and assumed it was her, which of course, they were right. I was stress free.

My wrap up thoughts…Rosa gave me the wedding of my dreams and all within my budget. She made my day as stress free as possible and made me feel like a queen. My family was left in awe and ultimately that’s what made me the happiest. Everyone was happy and everyone had a good time. After the wedding and before I left back home to Chicago, I saw Rosa and cried tears of joy and thankfulness to her. My destination wedding relied heavily on this woman and I made the best decision in trusting her. I really hope this helps solidify someone else’s decision because I seriously had the best wedding ever and all thanks to Rosa Velarde from Event Solutions!!!

Siempre soñé con casarme donde nací. Viviendo en Los Ángeles, Rosa lo hizo realidad. Nos guió durante todo el proceso, así que no tuve que preocuparme por nada. Compartí mi visión y mis deseos, y ella cumplió. Cuando nos preguntaban si nos estresaba planificar la boda, siempre respondíamos que no. Rosa estuvo al tanto de todo, lo cual fue muy importante para nosotros, ya que vivimos en Los Ángeles y yo estaba embarazada. La recomendamos ampliamente a cualquiera que quiera una boda de destino o a cualquier persona local.

Working with Rosa was not only a pleasure but it is the reason we had such an amazing wedding. Early on in the process our first meeting with her we realized she was the perfect fit for us. She was not only genuine in her recommendations and support, but she also listened to us and adjusted for what we needed in the moment for peace of mind as we were planning this wedding remotely. During the entire process she did an amazing job of making this feel exciting and making sure all of our vendor choices reflected our personality and kept us organized to avoid any feeling of being overwhelmed. She would always listen to our ideas and do an amazing job to bring it to reality. Our planning process could not have gone any smoother. As we got closer to our wedding date her communication was excellent and gave us much needed peace of mind as we focused on traveling to Mazatlan. From our welcome event the night before and our entire wedding day her level of professionalism, quality and care was seen from her, all the vendors recommended by her, and all the staff members. Thank you Rosa for making or wedding day so incredibly special and more importantly, making it about us and helping take all the planning and logistics off our plate and letting us enjoy. April 12th is now our favorite day of the year.
