Epicurean Umbrella was part of a list of preferred wedding cake vendors which the Hotel that our wedding took place uses. Our contact was Jennyfer Rogers who is a co-founder of EU. I selected EU after our tasting at the hotel as they had a more European taste profile that our guests would enjoy. While the cake was delicious the look of the cake was a great disappointment. Jennyfer and I discussed several times the design of my cake which was to have fresh flowers in between each layer. I even went so far as to put in writing and spent extra funds to purchase fresh flowers from the florist. Jennyfer decided for some reason the day of not to use the flowers and to create her own design. I can’t even express my disappointment during the cake cutting service, the cake was stacked flat on top of each, plain and looked nothing like what I had asked for. Jennyfer also choose not to place the beautiful cake topper I had purchased, which would have been fine had there been fresh flowers on top of the cake but of course there was nothing. To top it off she didn't even have the courtesy to return the pretty cake topper back to us. Jennyfer has also not responded to any of my emails nor phone calls, extreamly unprofessional.
The low scores are for poor customer service and for the disregard of a clients request - a very disappointed bride.
