We are thrilled with our wedding photos and very happy we decided to work with Emie! It's hard to put into words all the things she did perfectly. She was extremely organized and detail-oriented leading up to the wedding. She spent time learning about our vision and she executed perfectly. On the day of, Emie was flexible, professional, supportive, creative, and a joy to be around. She identified great photo-taking locations and adjusted well to the changing/shifting lighting at our venue, too. The final photos evoked feelings of joy, celebration, and love, which were exactly what we wanted!! Thank you Emie!!!

I don’t even know where to start, Emie is unreal. From the moment she showed up, she brought the calmest, happiest energy and somehow made the entire day feel effortless. She captured every single emotion; the joy, the tears, the belly laughs and turned it all into pure art.

Emie and Michael were a true blessing and a blast to work with. Their attention to detail is impeccable. Their attitudes are personalities are phenomenal. We spent 8 hours with them but the time flew by and they made the night so much more memorable. And to top it off, they had sneak peek photos ready for us before 24 hours! Incredible! We had a really specific vision of what we wanted our wedding to feel to like and she did a beautiful job capturing that. I was blown away by some of the images she captured. Not only were they stunning, it was evident she understood our vision and emphasized it.

I really appreciated that she was so willing to traipse thru the forest on a hike with us mid day and that she made sure photograph everything we wanted but also things I didn’t even think to request.

I also really appreciated that she captured true colors/ hues and really listened to what I liked/didn’t like stylistically.

I also want to note that she has a lot of experience with animal photography and capturing images of my dogs was very important to me. Since my wedding, one of my dogs has passed away and I am so grateful to have such beautiful high quality images of him from our wedding .

Emie was great! She took amazing photos, helped organize the crowd, and was great at giving advice and tips. A big plus, were the photos she took of the dogs on our big day. Highly recommend her!

We used Emie for our engagement and wedding photos. She did an amazing job with organizing photos for our huge family as well as making sure our photos turned out amazing even though it rained on our wedding day. We felt so confident in Emie throughout the entire wedding day as we spent so much time planning together talking through our must have photos. Emie and her assistant Michael were fantastic! From our first meeting with Emie, she made sure that our wishes were heard and made sure that it was something she could capture. Through the planning process, she reassured us and continuously instilled confidence in us. On the day of our wedding, her and Michael were early and comforting. They did getting ready photos, our first look, bridal party photos, and family photos per our shot list. They were so knowledgable and paid great attention to the lighting and backdrop, having us change angles a few times to account for it. She coached us through poses and, most importantly, what to do with our hands. During the ceremony and reception, they both were able to capture shots that we had no idea they were even in position for! They also brought disposable cameras to the event for our guests to take candids throughout the night and we’re super excited to see how those turn out! 
Additionally, they were very professional in handling relatives who wanted to take pictures on their own equipment throughout the day. They were so fun to work with, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer in the Albemarle area!

Our shoot with Emie was the first shoot that we have done as a couple. Our shoot was also a giveaway that I won at a bridal expo. Emie is SO much fun to work with. Our experience was truly one of a kind. We all three clicked and it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend (who happens to take bomb photos). She told us exactly what to do when we didn’t know but also let us just be ourselves. And that’s exactly what we wanted. She captured our image effortlessly and was easy going and encouraging. She is clear with timelines and communication. If you’re looking for a photographer to capture a special moment - you will not be disappointed with Emie’s Photo. 10/10 highly recommend. Emie is the BEST! My fiance and I started out sooo awkward, but she really made us feel comfortable and loosen up. Before we knew it we were really in the swing of things, and Emie really hyped us up. Also, of note, Emie did an amazing job scouting areas for the session. She used my Pinterest board and recreated the desired atmosphere. Overall, absolutely magical!

Emie covered our engagement photos, rehearsal and ceremony and was absolutely fantastic! Being the center of attention and getting photos done can be a little uncomfortable, but Emie sets you at ease and makes the whole experience wonderful! From suggesting and scouting out locations, taking our comfort levels into consideration and just being there to help with literally anything I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer! We have received so many compliments on the photos we’ve shared from her.
