Bill at Elyria Jewelers custom-made my wedding band based on a ring I had seen years ago with a couple variations. He recommended an alternative metal (palladium rather than platinum) as an option that would match my platinum engagement ring in appearance and would wear the same way over the years, but that would cost significantly less. Bill could have insisted that platinum was necessary and made a bigger sale, but instead watched out for my personal best interests. The final product was exactly what we had discussed and is a high quality and very attractive wedding band.
