Ella Luv Co is a San Diego wedding DJ and MC service for anyone celebrating love—couples, traditional or nontraditional relationships, chosen families, and people who want their celebration to feel genuinely theirs. Led by Leon Lee (DJ Leon de La $co)—formerly the highest-rated DJ and manager at a large multi-op—we bring professional infrastructure with a deeply personal approach.
What does empathy have to do with DJing?
Well, everything. As much as DJing is musicality and technical skill—empathy is the care that goes into it.
That means:
- No generic, thrown-together playlists. We work collaboratively with your music preferences and read the room in real time.
- High-end, intentional setups and equipment (no giant road cases on dusty table linens)—No cutting corners, not even down to the cables we use.
- Real preparation hours + days go into your event— from studying your itinerary, the pronunciations of names, organizing and procuring your song selections, to making sure everything is thoroughly tested with contingency plans in place.
It's about handling your big day with the respect it deserves.
And importantly: it's about making everyone at your event feel welcomed, safe, and seen. Loud, chill, bubbly, punk, boujee, unapologetic, queer, neurodivergent, BIPOC, immigrant—everyone.

I spent years as a top-rated DJ and manager at one of SoCal's largest DJ companies. When it became clear that our values and approaches weren't compatible anymore, I left to build something better. Ella Luv Co is a small, intentional business built on transparency, ethical practices, and genuine care.
DJing is the easy part—it's the care that goes into it that really turns the party up.

Best Professional and Fun experience
I would not hesitate to hire Leon. He has extensive knowledge of all music genres and also jumped in with some wedding planning advice throughout the meeting. It was obvious to us that he was passionate about making the day meet our wildest dreams. DJ Leon had the extra challenge of coordinating with my cousin who sang and played guitar for our first dance. DJ Leon was patient and timely while working out every small detail for my cousin's performance. Throughout our big day, I could hear DJ Leon's clear and commanding voice giving our guests the instructions they needed to keep the night flowing smoothly. Multiple people came up to us during the wedding to tell us how much they are enjoying our DJ! Thank you Leon for treating our day with so much care and excitement.

As a Virgo bride, I was S T R E S S E D. DJ Leon’s vendor meeting was the easiest LEAST STRESSFUL and actually fun meeting of them all. I had FULL TRUST that he would not disappoint after having a casual conversation with him about our music interests, songs we definitely wanted to hear, and what our guests would enjoy. We really only discussed vibes (millennials and asian family members), genres (throwback, EDM, emo), and the big songs of the day (ceremony, grand entrance, first dance, last song of the night).
OUR DANCEFLOOR WAS LITTY. So lit that our friends booked DJ Leon for their wedding too! They asked for his contact info while at our wedding because they were having such a good time. Quite frankly, my friend (the groom) was an instant super fan. I, myself, danced the ENTIRE TIME Iat their wedding also. The songs were always so good that I couldn’t leave the dance floor! My body was so sore I had to get a massage that week LOL.
DJ Leon as a person is a genuine soul who truly cares about his clients as people and the human experience. He has an understanding of a wide variety of music genres (we also requested French cafe for pre-ceremony and R&B for cocktail hour) and his song transitions are seamless (an important detail for us). He will NOT let your dancefloor die. He WILL guarantee a great freaking time. He understands the stress of wedding planning (or any event planning) and will put you at ease.

The absolute best DJ and Emcee we have booked
His transitions from song to song were seamless, which kept the energy going all night and the dance floor full up until the very end. He was also able to get the parents and the younger guests dancing and having a good time. And he also made our wedding trivia game so fun and energetic. DJ Leon was easy to work with and a lot of fun to have at our wedding. Many of our guests also asked us for his contact so they could book him for other events and weddings. We would absolutely recommend DJ Leon as a DJ and emcee.
