While we ended up pivoting and going with a different post-Covid wedding experience, Joan at Elegant Affairs was the ONLY caterer we had reached out to who was both responsive and professional. She was easy to reach via email, continued to follow-up with us, and sent a wonderful first draft of a menu that hit on so much of what we discussed in just our first conversation.
Things are hard enough right now without having to chase down vendors who don't respond to emails and texts--if you want to work with someone who is professional from the very beginning, you can't go wrong with Joan!

They are very professional to work with and will listen to your needs and special requests. They try to please the wedding couple as much as they can and are flexible with their approach. They also provide suggestions to the couple when something is confusing.

They took care of setting up our ceremony and reception. Everything looked so beautiful. We did our own centerpieces and had the Elegant Affairs team set it up. The food was so delicious and the presentation was unique and trendy. We received so many complements on the food from our guests. Our wedding coordinator, Stephanie, was very helpful.

Very professional and responsive. A tad more "fancy" than I would've liked (ie slightly pretentious), but overall fine.

Hired Joan based on planner referral. Very good at marketing to the couple and warm. Weak on planning and detailed follow up. Food was fine not like tasting but still OK. Cocktail stations were very good. Staff was fine in most cases although Joan choose to leave the event very early and before dinner service despite originally agreeing to be present and the staff became less focused and less professional. The bar service was not good. Did not know or learn the family of bride and groom. Did not serve the top shelf when directed even though was contracted (actually lied and said they ran out) and most importantly did not serve proper special sparkling or spirits that we specified. Peter the GM was included in all final arrangements and choose not to deliver on his promises. Zero coordination between planner and catering during event. In the end they did a job. Definitely did not feel at any point they strived to be great or we’re particularly special.
