We hired DTID to be our month-of coordinator and we are so happy we did!
Tamara helped us with our day-of planning ahead of time and walked through our venues with us the month before. Her communication was great and she was a joyful and helpful addition to our team! We had several zoom meetings to go over the overall idea & themes of my day and she gave some great suggestions. We also got the pleasure of working with Kristin the week-of and day-of our wedding since Tamara was out of town. What a wonderful, kind, helpful, soul Kristin is. She totally saw our vision, listened to all of the details, and was a rockstar when it came to some major unforeseen issues just days before the wedding. She called me to personally make sure I was mentally okay given the last-minute changes/surprises I had both personally and with vendors. She helped communicate with our vendors & work through some challenging situations, all with a positive can-do-it attitude. We hired DTID to help us with: Event timeline, Ceremony walking order & Rehearsal, Day-of set up & break down at our ceremony site, and set up at our reception where Kristin helped my godmother set up a beautiful large charcuterie board, she set the tables and all the décor, and made sure every detail was in place. Better than I could’ve imagined!
Because of DTID, our whole wedding & reception happened without a hitch. We would hands-down recommend Down To I Do for your event!

Tamara and her team are all amazing. From day one Tamara makes you feel like you have known her your whole life which is why she’s so good at what she does. I used Down To I Do for month of/day of wedding planning. They were priced very fairly and even offered military, health care, and teacher discount which was awesome. Tamara helped with my final details meeting at my venue, wedding day timeline, and seating chart layout the month of the wedding. She was so nice and helpful and had great recommendations! Kristin was my coordinator on the day of the wedding and Melanie was her assistant and they were amazing! They set everything up perfectly and made the day go so smoothly. I highly recommend Down To I Do for wedding planning!

We were extremely disappointed in our experience with Down to I Do. In the months leading to the wedding, Tamara was increasingly difficult to reach. We consistently had to follow up with multiple messages to elicit a response, days later. Despite repeated requests, we did not receive an initial draft of the day-of timeline, one of Down to I Do’s primary deliverables, until less than 2 weeks before the wedding. This caused delays to planning and coordination with other vendors.

Tamara was not in attendance at either our rehearsal or wedding. She sent an alternative POC with whom we had never had any contact to lead both occasions, and we had never been informed upon signing the contract or leading up to the wedding that it was a possibility she, as owner and lead planner with whom we had communicated with exclusively, would not attend and/or would send a substitute except due to emergency. The venue manager was also not informed that she would be absent until the day of the wedding. Per Tamara’s staff, she was attending another rehearsal during our rehearsal, and another event the day of our wedding. She stated that an email was sent to us in her portal to inform us of such change, but the portal shows that the message was never delivered. Despite the easy availability of multiple other communication channels which had been used throughout the planning process (e.g. text, phone, email), she did not follow up to ensure we were aware of such an important change, 3 days before the wedding.

The girls she sent to the wedding in her place were nice and assisted with setup and breakdown. Though they were nice, it was clear they did not have the same level of experience leading weddings as we would have expected from Tamara. At multiple points throughout the wedding, the lead seemed overwhelmed, uncertain, and was intermittently absent.

Tamara’s consistent delays in communication, or lack thereof entirely, caused significant stress and frustration. Her lack of accountability in addressing her absence at both the rehearsal and wedding was unprofessional and unacceptable. Tamara let us down on one of the most important occasions of our life, and we would have been better off planning everything independently.
