We went to Vortex13 for our wedding bands and were really happy with did. I had expected it to be expensive because the jewellery is handmade and some of the pieces there are really elaborate and unique but the price was actually affordable. We wound up getting simple white-gold bands but I think if you wanted something a bit different, this place could really do it justice. I was able to show Doug a photo of what I was interested it and he based my ring on that. Then the price was mainly just by the weight of gold on the day. We also can go back in for cleaning/repairs/etc for life.

What I REALLY liked about this place is that Doug is a craftsman, not a sales-man and he won't tell you whatever he thinks you want to hear to make a sale. I was concerned going in because of the shape and size of my engagement ring and was really determined to buy a wedding band that would complement it without damaging it. Doug reassured me as a jeweller and took my concerns to heart when designing the wedding band. Overall, the people are lovely and the work is beautiful. Very happy!
