Limo's A/C broke and we had to get a last-minute replacement
It pains me to write a bad review for a vendor, but I hope that this will save future couples a headache. We really wanted a limo for our wedding in May, because my husband had never ridden in one and we wanted to take several hours of pre-wedding photos at different locations and knew we would need transportation. We searched for weeks for different companies, but really didn't want to pay some of the high quotes we were getting. We went with Dominion Limo because of the lower prices, but BUYER BEWARE you get what you pay for.
Initially the company was fine, we emailed with Jason and he was always fairly responsive. I gather our coordinator was able to contact him as well. The morning of the wedding--yes the MORNING OF--while the bridal party was getting ready, I saw I had a missed call from him. (First problem: he called me directly, the bride, and not our coordinator.) I was getting my hair done, so I told my coordinator and she called him back. I don't 100% know what went down, but apparently the a/c in the limo broke and so we could either use the broken one or go with a different limo from a different company. I'm still not 100% sure if Jason found the second company or if our coordinator did, but my best guess is that our coordinator did, which must have been super stressful. Here's what our coordinator said after the wedding:
"I'm not clear on the timing of when Jason found out that the AC unit broke. However, he did mention that he had gotten fans, which leads me to believe he may not have given us as much advance notice as he could have. If that is the case, that is a big concern for me."
I think she had a lot of restraint to only write that much.
As a result of this, the 3-hour pictures were absolute chaos. The new limo driver of the new company had no idea where he was going or what the plan was. The coordinator tried to help, but it was chaos. We did not fit inside the new limo (we had one too many people) so it was crowded and not very fun. Because the limo came late, we were late to the first look and photos, which means our time was cut short. AND, on the morning of our wedding, I had to resign a new contract and pay a new vendor with my card while we were trying to get ready and leave. In the chaos, the AirBNB was left in complete disarray, meaning when we got back from the wedding it looked awful. That's not how you want to return after what was a very long day and night.
Overall, I do NOT recommend this vendor. Jason's behavior was completely unprofessional. If he knew the a/c was broken, he should have contacted us much further in advance. He caused SO much stress for everyone: for me and my husband, the bridal party, the coordinators, and our photographers. I really credit Jason and Dominion Limo with being the most stressful part of our day and with making our first look and pre-ceremony photographs way worse and way more stressful. My recommendation is to just suck it up and pay a few hundred dollars more for a better, more reputable company. At least you will know that they will pick you up and deliver on their transportation promise.
