About
About DJ Willionaire
I've been DJing weddings since 2016: over 50 of them now, from backyard ceremonies in Pittsburgh to a mountainside wedding in the Italian Dolomites.
Before any of that, I spent years as a restaurant server. That matters more than people expect. I coordinate with catering on timing and announcements, I already speak the language your venue speaks.
I'm also a Toastmasters Competent Communicator and earned my MBA at Pitt, where I served as student president. Both taught me the same lesson: real leadership isn't loud. Names are practiced, announcements are rehearsed, transitions are considered.
And I dance. A lot. I've spent as much time on dance floors as behind the decks, which means when I make a call about what plays next, it's informed by what the song actually feels like when your feet are moving.
The way I work is genre-blending, not genre-picking. I don't lock into one lane and stay there: I'll run Sinatra into a K-pop floor moment into 2000s indie rock in the same night if that's what the couple's story calls for. The skill isn't knowing one genre well, it's knowing how to move between all of them so nothing feels like a seam. That's the flow people notice, even when they can't say exactly why the night felt different.
Before the wedding, we build a shared Spotify/Apple Music/Youtube playlist together. I learn more from what you take off that list than what you add to it. Every "no" tells me something real about your taste. I ask about your do-not-plays as carefully as your must-plays, because both matter equally to getting it right.
I'm the DJ for people who actually care about music: not just couples who want a competent playlist, but people who notice transitions, who have a song they've never heard anyone else play, who want their wedding to sound like them and not like every other Saturday that month. I've worked with music industry professionals who tipped extra specifically because they heard the difference in how I mixed. I've handled Italian-Korean, Pakistani-American, and Colombian-American weddings, seamlessly blending cultures.
No ego, no defaults. Just your night, done right.
