Derek was recommended to us by a family friend for our wedding on 5/28/2023. Derek is an extremely kind, patient, and accommodating individual. He went above and beyond to make sure that planning our event went smoothly (inviting us to see his warehouse to pick out particular up-lighting colors, showing us his photobooth and how it worked, and keeping everything organized/documented). Derek kept an open line of communication and was always willing to answer any questions we had.
On the Monday before our wedding, we were notified that our original venue had a fire and that we needed to find a new location before our Sunday wedding. Not only did Derek reach out to us to see how we were doing, but he was so incredibly helpful and flexible with our change of venue.
When our wedding day arrived (in its new location), Derek showed up early to ensure that everything was set up according to our plan. He worked seamlessly with our other vendors, triple checking everyone's names were correct, sound checking, and making sure everything was ready for the evening.
Our music throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and our reception was absolutely perfect. Derek perfectly timed our processional and recessional songs as well as our intros into the reception. During our reception, Derek kept everyone up and dancing, playing the perfect mix of songs that we had discussed. Our wedding guests could not stop commenting on how amazing the night was and how much fun they had because of Derek! Thank you Derek, for your extreme professionalism and talent! You really made our wedding unforgettable!!

Derek was phenomenal!!! He made the process so easy every step of the way. He did our ceremony music as well as our reception. We gave him a few song ideas and he was able to put together the perfect playlist. He was extremely professional and courteous. Derek knows what he is doing. The whole night, the dance floor was full and every song flowed together perfectly. He took our music list and catered it to everyone, young and old too.

His equipment produced high quality sound, his photobooth created incredible photos and the lights that he bring create the perfect lighted atmosphere for a wedding.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding recently in Harwich Port, Cape Cod, MA, and Derek Holtie was our DJ for the day. We can only describe DJ Holtie's service and what it brought to our special day as perfect!

Derek was kind, friendly, well organized and highly professional. He played the songs we requested, in the order requested, and also mixed it up with his own songs (that complemented our songs well) when needed. Attending the wedding was an international crowd ranging in age from 3 weeks to 84 years old. Everyone had a good time! The dance floor was never empty (which is remarkable because this was a smallish wedding with only about 70 guests) as Derek read the room well and adjusted his song choices appropriately. All his announcements during the evening were also spot on and well timed.

So, if you need a friendly laid back DJ who knows his music and ready to "give it all his got" so you and your spouse and all the guests can have a good time, then DJ Derek Holtie is your guy. We recommend him very highly!

DJ holtie was amazing! Everyone that was a guest says they have never dance so much at a wedding ever! He was so fun & accommodated each song we asked for & then some he made each introduction; bouquet toss & garter toss a blast! The photobooth we added through him was a huge hit & everyone enjoyed!
