Professional, attentive, light-hearted, easy to communicate with, the list goes on. DJ John Cox was excellent to work with and helped make our wedding day smooth and stress-free!

John proved himself to be a true master of ceremonies rather than "just" a DJ. He displayed a unique ability to create and enhance special moments during our wedding reception. John took the time to get to know us and our story as a couple and weaved it into the night to share it with our guests so well that one of my coworkers asked how we are related to John. He brought years of event planning experience to the table, had creative ideas to keep the day rolling smoothly, and kept the dance floor full until the party was over. He took care if any issues that popped up over the night. My wife and I are both very thankful we were able to work with John.

My husband and I 'interviewed'/spoke to FOUR different potential DJs before finally being connected to John through another rec that was already taken on our wedding day. I swear my husband's eyes glazed over in every other chat we had, but when we met John, it was literally a 180 from the rest and SUCH a relieving feeling! That feeling carried on through the rest of the process after we booked with John (which was honestly a no-brainer after speaking with him for just 5 minutes). He is everything we were looking for - someone who is an expert and can give us advice, but also will be flexible to our needs and wants; someone who can carry through the wedding itinerary smoothly and swiftly, without awkward pauses or struggling to get the guests' attention; someone who didn't have a million ridiculous additional fees for little things we'd need his help on!

Seriously, John helped with everything. I went to him for advice on food for the wedding. He helped our violinists and singer set up sound for the ceremony, he played transition songs perfectly on cue and he adapted to scenarios which otherwise may have been a bit awkward for us. He's perfectly respectful and kind and professional, but also tons of fun and feels like another friend or family member at your event (same with his wife - she's lovely!) OH and he heeded to ALL of my special requests, including letting my friend guest-DJ LOL - iconic.

I can't recommend John enough. I had a hard time making decisions and did a lot of things last minute, and John was patient and sweet and genuine through the whole thing. He knows how to handle and speak to a couple planning a wedding, and he sure as hell knows how to throw a kick ass ENTIRE wedding day.

We had a million compliments! We loved having him as our DJ and we’re so glad we spent more than expected on DJ and adjusted our decor budget to have him with us on our day!

When deciding on a DJ/MC, John was our first choice for our wedding. He did my sister's wedding in 2019 and he did an amazing job. The first time talking with him, he said our wedding day would be completely different than my sister's and it was. John really gets to know you and gives great tips to help with the process. He was even flexible with our timeline and little changes the day of. He really helped to make our day special and memorable.

We choose to hire DJ Cox after seeing him at a friends wedding. It was one of the best weddings we had ever been to, because of him, so when it came time to hire someone for our wedding we knew who we wanted. We had other friends who also hired DJ Cox before and after our wedding, and it was nice to get to see him. In addition to being great at his job, he is also a great person. We were at four weddings total he was working and had a blast at each one.

John was the best, you could try to find someone better and more professional but I wouldn't waste your time. John was great in all areas and we had many guests come up and tell us how impressed they were with him. He will walk you through each step and give input where needed. Would 150% recommend him to any of our friends - he helped make our day perfect.

Hiring John was one of the best decisions we made planning! He helped with the rehearsal ceremony the night before and helped our live musicians. We had our ceremony on private land and reception in a backyard tent without any venue or planner. John was an absolute godsent for any questions we had throughout the process and went way above and beyond the call of duty. On the night of, he kept us completely on schedule too. Aside from the other extras he provided, John’s prior experience DJing showed! The dance floor was so crowded we had to move tables for more room. So many people approached us saying it was the most they had ever danced at a wedding because the music was so good.

John was absolutely incredible, attentive to every detail, personable, and made our night one to remember. We had tons of family and friends buzzing afterwards talking about their experience. I am so thankful he had our date available because I don’t think there’s anyone else that can throw a party like John. He was so much more than a DJ. He felt like a part of our family that night and through the whole process. He was so attentive during our day and made our dances and toast so much more special. He brought my dad, me, and my husband aside before the reception and got our thoughts from the day and used our adjectives and thoughts to create such specials dialogue, we were blown away.
