Preston is a wonderful photographer. We did an engagement shoot with him that was featured on several blogs. He has a photo journalistic style but can do pretty much anything you want. He has a way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera and the pictures look so natural and not posed.

On our wedding day he arrived early and scouted out areas for our first look and pre-ceremony photos. My bridesmaids were running behind and things didn't go according to plan but Preston still made it work and managed to get some amazing shots. He even came through for us when our DJ dropped the ball on a couple of important songs during the reception. I never felt like he was intrusive during the ceremony and reception, in fact I barely saw him but when I did, he was always shooting. Overall I'm very pleased with his work and hope to work with him again in the future for a maternity shoot and/or possibly anniversary photos.

Getting married? Go see Preston right away, please! It has been such a pleasure to work with him, first for our engagement photos and finally for our wedding. I spent hours reviewing photographer's websites and Preston's was one that both myself and my husband could agree on. We knew at our first meeting with him in person that his photos were beautiful, his work was high quality, and that he would be easy to work with. Preston has a great easy going and professional demeanor. He accommodated our far flung locations and drove all the way to Santa Cruz for our engagement session and then to Grass Valley for our wedding, both of which are pretty long trips for him.

On the day of the wedding, Preston showed up early and worked hard the full 8 hours. Having never been married before I had not a clue how the whole process worked, but trust in Preston to know what to do. He got shots of us, the wedding party, and our family members prior to the ceremony. The man works fast! He also had time to get all the little details before the ceremony. Post-ceremony was a bit of a blur for me and most of the time I didn't even know he was there, but he was catching all of the main events for the evening. I know Preston had to deal with photography demands from our family and wedding party and handled them like a pro. He also tried to catch my misbehaving dogs on film which required a bit of patience. We've seen a few of the pictures so far and they are wonderful. We are eagerly awaiting the rest!

So in short, if you want a talented, calm, and genuinely nice guy to document your wedding, and you you want someone who can capture the EMOTIONS of your big day (not just all your DIY projects and pretty jewels) you have to talk to Preston Davis.

Preston was great at my wedding! He showed up on time and was very active! I felt like I got a good deal from Preston looking at the quality of his photos vs. his price. Considering there's lots of really shitty photographers out there charging much more (you won't believe the crap I have seen while searching for the right photographer.) . I am an artist myself so I could tell Preston has the artistic eye. He knows what he is doing. His photography style is natural, romantic and modern. I feel Preston is young and fresh and that is what I usually look for in artists.

The best thing about Preston was that he was very easy going. When we first met him, he did not try to up sale his business. He was sincere which made us feel very comfortable. It was not all about money instead Preston seemed to care more about who we were as a couple. We liked him instantly.

I am a very picky person and for me to say those words about another artist has to be definitely coming from the heart. I was happy with Preston's performance on my wedding day. I have not yet to see all the finished pictures but from what I saw so far, they are great!
