He was excellent!!! He arrived early and played later than expected due to our late start of the ceremony. Guests verbally praised him to me.
He made the day very memorable with his beautiful harp music.

I have been in five weddings. I have attended AT LEAST one wedding every month for the past 16 months. And I just got married a month ago. I had seen so many different types of ceremony music - from recorded to live music (that was a big lesson to me to use live music - live musicians can tailor their music so there is no awkward silences or pauses during the processional, recession, right after they announce the married couple, etc. I had seen too many strained silences and stressed out brides on stage waiting, waiting, waiting....). No matter how acutely we brides try to "time" ceremony music, there is ALWAYS variations the day of the wedding! I had seen all sorts of ceremony music: vocalists, pianists, violins, bells, etc. But I couldn't get away from how the harp TOTALLY changed the atmosphere. Not only do guests enjoy the sight of the gorgeous grandeur of a harp on your wedding stage (to me, it is the most elaborate wedding ceremony instrument to look at!), but the sound of a harp (vs. piano or violin) is completely unique and to me speaks WEDDING more than any other type of music. I had SO MANY guests comment on the ceremony music after the wedding - to me, the ceremony music is a gift you give to your guests. They traveled all that way, took time out of their busy day, and often bring a generous wedding gift. The least I can do is let them enjoy some gorgeous music! Most importantly, the music dictates the mood of your ceremony - way more than any decorations. As soon as Esther started playing the harp at my wedding, immediately it cast a mood and my ceremony was exactly as I wanted: formal, memorable, holy and unforgettable. I also had Chad Vermillion sing - wow! What a voice! We had over 400 guests in a huge sanctuary with vaulted ceilings - he completely nailed the Lord's Prayer with class and beautiful performance. I would highly recommend DFW Harp to any bride-to-be! You will never regret it (you only get married ONE TIME!) and your guests will rave to you afterwards.

I found Esther Vermillion/DFWHarp during a bridal show over at Bella Stanza in Arlington, TX. My MOH recommended Carol West (another harpist player) that she used for her ceremony in 2004. I received a cd from Carol West and thought she was ok, but her travelling to Fort Worth from DeSoto and paying the travelling fee wasn't worth it.
I really liked how flexible Esther was in helping me pick out the music for the ceremony. She was willing to play the traditional music as well as non-traditional. Both she & I were excited in the choices that we came up with, including (non-traditional): Shepard Moons (Enya); Somewhere Over the Rainbow (Wizard of Oz); Forest Gump Suite (Forest Gump); May It Be (Enya, LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring Soundtrack); Caribbean Blue (Enya; What a Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong).
She was very detailed & well organized. She was prompt in arrival and the music was simple beautiful. So much that many of our guests were in awe on how beautifully the selections were played. She had no problems at all in sitting a floor higher than the Mezzanine Lobby floor from where the ceremony was taken place, in order to take advantage of the acoustics.
I'd recommend her to anyone that is looking for a harpist. Will definitely keep her on my rolodex for future use.
