This review is for both my Bridal Shower cake and Wedding Cake (and Wedding side cake!), as all came from Dessert First.
All were absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend this business!

The Bridal Shower cake was completely on point with the theme of our wedding and beyond what I could've envisioned. I was so involved in the wedding planning that I gave very little input into the shower cake and am so glad that was the case because what Megan did with it was creative, completely original, and ultimately ended up coordinating with our wedding cake so well. It was beautiful and tasted great!

Then, came the wedding cake :)
First, let me say that Megan is truly wonderful to work with. She's so personable, responsive, and it's clear that she loves what she does. She took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for in our wedding cake. She asked us to take a look at lots of different cakes and pick out certain things we liked from each. My Pinterest board was FULL. So, we narrowed them down and finally landed on a few inspirations, based on what it was we were looking for. Megan took our favorites, took our feedback and put her spin on it to make our cake completely original and exactly what we wanted. Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning and not only stunning, but DELICIOUS. It was beyond what I could've envisioned but at the same time, exactly what I wanted!

Megan also made us an Up! inspired side cake (prompted by a story we shared with her), and the details were SO heartfelt and beautiful! We received so many compliments on all of the cakes - How gorgeous they were and how delicious they tasted. I highly, highly recommend Dessert First. Megan, thank you so much for everything! We can't wait for our next excuse to order a cake (or some other goodies) from you!!

I have hired these services many times in the past and never have been disappointed so I knew when I was getting married that I wanted Dessert First or all of our desserts at the wedding. She has always been able to create my vision. We had a 50s wedding theme and she again surpassed all my expectations. I gave her ideas and pictures of what I would like along with my color scheme and it was phenomenal. Not only does it look beautiful but it taste delicious. All of the desserts went and everybody raved about them. She puts a lot of time and effort into her designs and her displays are gorgeous. Not only did she do our wedding cake but she also did various cupcakes and 50s cut outs along with cotton candy cake pops. And here's something unique. You get a coupon to use on your one year anniversary for a fresh cake instead of freezing part of your cake. I cannot wait. Thank you!!

Both our groom's cake and wedding cake were both absolutely beautiful, and blew away our expectations! Megan listened to exactly what I wanted and worked with me to make sure I had an elegant, beautiful wedding cake. I was blown away with the perfection of the detail, and seeing my cake was exactly as I had wanted it upon walking into my reception hall made me night start out on the right foot, and I knew I could relax right away! Another nice touch that is provided is that they will re-make your top tier of your cake on your one year anniversary, so that you do not have to store a tier of cake in your freezer for a year! Also, I should mention that it was absolutely delicious and I even had guests come up to me and tell me that they thought all wedding cakes "tasted the same" until they had tried it.

In the end I had Dessert First LLC make my pearl-topped bridal shower cupcakes, Bills-themed grooms cake, and gorgeous wedding cake with delicate flower petals; and each one topped the last! It was slightly difficult maintaining contact as I live in Buffalo and the baker was quite far away, but it was well-worth the slight hassle, and I would highly recommend Dessert First LLC to all of my family and friends!
