Jana Ingraham, the founder and lead event planner, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina. In 2008, Jana began working on weddings and other special events. In 2012, she finally decided to establish Design a Dream Events to provide her own style of high-quality event planning services.

I interviewed 4 different planning companies in the Wilmington area before I hired Jana and the Design a Dream team. She built her business from the ground up and it was obvious how much she loved what she does. My main wedding concern was that I didn't know how to bring my vision to life and I needed help with the design aspect. She is so cute, friendly and has great taste so that also made her an easy choice.
The entire process was fantastic. She was responsive, she was organized, she asked questions I hadn't even considered and the thing I appreciate most is that she was willing to jump on the phone with a DIY flower company I hired. That was a lot of additional work and time for everyone but Jana handled it patiently and professionally. She ended up having to completely construct the florals on the fireplace mantel in our venue and it was STUNNING. I was blown away!
Our guests even spoke with her and commented on how kind and friendly she was (one guest said, "as opposed to a drill sergeant"). We truly can't recommend Jana and her team enough. I know I'm not giving her team credit but they busted their butts behind the scenes because it was a giant project to put together. Thank you all for literally Designing our Dream wedding.
