Great event company to work with. They thought far in advance for us, so we need not worry about the unannounced...they knew. Again following their thought process their ideas for food were right on the mark, particularly when you are hosting for entertainment attendees.

The catering and service from Derek was absolutely amazing. Derek was a dream come true. He provided everything we needed, wanted, and more. Derek was extremely helpful in all the planning for my wedding. The food and service was behind anything I could have imagined. He provided an amazing selection of food and was very helpful to craft our food to certain items we desired. I would highly recommend Derek for any event. The personal touch and caring Derek showed was perfect. The food and service was outstanding. Words cannot describe how truly amazing Derek was in every aspect of the catering service.

Dickenson West was one of the best finds in a wedding of fantastic vendors. When we finally settled on having our wedding at Castle Green in Old Town Pasadena, our contact there suggested we stop by "Derek's" (which is the restaurant branch of the business as opposed to the catering branch) and talk to Caroline Armer. Although we basically popped by to try the food and introduce ourselves, within a half hour we knew we'd found the right people to handle our event. The food (both at the restaurant and at the wedding) was excellent, and Caroline got right down to business with us, feeling us out for our tastes, our budget and our overall expectations for the wedding. She got it right away and brought out samples of wines for us to try that she thought might be good for serving with the dinner and at the cocktail reception, she brought us samples of hors d'oeuvres and desserts...it turned into a tasting months before we even got to the official tasting. Every step of the way as we were planning our wedding Caroline adapted and changed - and stayed within our budget!
On the wedding day itself, the service was fantastic. Caroline assigned her best waiters to a few select VIP tables so that our parents and siblings were given extra care (something my parents specifically noted to me at the end of the night). I could go on and on about the various little things Caroline did to make our lives easier during the week of our wedding from taking specific bottles of wine for me and my wife as well as my parents, to keeping specific cigars in her humidor for my family etc etc. But basically, this was the best food and the best service I've ever seen at a wedding. And we heard this from many of our guests as well. I can't recommend them highly enough. They just did a flat out spectacular job.
