Jyl was absolutely instrumental in pulling off our wedding smoothly. From the moment we hired her, Jyl went above and beyond with sage advice, coordinating with the venue, quick responses, and helping us figure out what we needed to still do and when. When it came to two months before our wedding, Jyl was indispensable, coordinating between vendors and putting together a timeline that factored in so many moving parts with ease. By the time it came to our wedding day, it was clear from chatting with other vendors that Jyl had put in work that we weren’t even aware of, making our lives easier without us even knowing or asking for recognition. And on the wedding day, she kept us on schedule, was there every step of the way, and managed to anticipate hiccups before they even happened. No small blip was not swiftly remedied - one too few bridesmaids bouquets, a button falling off the groom’s tux, a small stain on the bride’s dress, family portraits that felt overwhelming at times, or a bride’s headache. We still remark to ourselves that we are in shock at how smoothly things ran, and are still waiting for something wedding-related to go wrong, because nothing really did. If I could go back and change one thing about my wedding, it would be hiring Jyl for the full planning services instead of day of/month of. Jyl was an absolute life saver. The second she started getting more involved about 1 month out from our wedding, my stress levels dropped significantly. She knew all of our vendors personally, had planned and executed multiple weddings at our venue, and just operated with an air of confidence and ease that every bride needs in their life. The day of our wedding, Jyl took complete control of the reins, and I just got to enjoy the day. She navigated the uncertain weather, my semi-dysfunctional family, assembling our DIY centerpieces and hundreds of other details that I am not even aware of to ensure the day was perfect. Jyl is THE BEST! Hands down, she was the best decision we made for our wedding day. It would not have been what it was without her help and hard work. Every little detail was taken care of, I truly did not have to worry about a THING except enjoying our wedding day. If anything went wrong, I never knew about it! Jyl handles anything that comes up discreetly and with efficiency and grace. She helped us immensely with timeline planning, unloading, loading, decor set up and takedown, vendor management, coordination and logistics to things as little as printing a copy of our ceremony that I had forgotten to do, to name a few. Without Jyl and her team, I know our day wouldn’t have happened so smoothly. Jyl was amazing! We originally hired her for just day of coordination but as the stresses grew, she fully took over communications with our venue. On the day of she was a lifesaver and ran to pick up last minute items and made sure the day went smoothly. Highly recommend using her !

So many good things to say about Jyl (and her assistant Megan) I don't even know where to start! Navigating planning a wedding during a pandemic was no easy feat, but Jyl made us feel at ease and taken care of completely. Our wedding was at a venue that required a lot of our own set-up as well as bringing in all our vendors, but both Jyl and Megan made us feel as if we didn't have to worry about a thing the whole weekend! Everything was thought of and I am so appreciative for their help. Our wedding went off without a hitch and I totally credit that to Jyl and Megan for their help!!

If wedding ninjas exist, Jyl is one of the. She put forth an incredible, herculean effort into making our wedding a show stopper. The compliments from all our guests were never-ending and we could not be happier with how the day went. From day one, she worked with us to help bring our vision to life with advice, research, responsiveness, organization, and other big and small gestures. We are so thankful that Jyl mentored us through the insane process that is planning a wedding. We are truly touched by her positive spirit, are eternally grateful, and will forever look back on our wedding with affection and amazing memories. This review is a bit overdue but I can't imagine there being a better wedding/event planner out there. As someone terrified about the idea of planning a wedding, especially in our case where we weren't local and had to plan a wedding in less than 6 months, I reached out to a few planners on the Cape and could tell from the start that Jyl had the type of reassuring yet direct style I could lean on in the months to come. Her rate for what she does is beyond reasonable, and she never missed a beat or failed to deliver. She's clearly a true expert at what she does, knows the best vendors, has a clear idea of practical matters and the cost of things and kept us on track. We had many pivots to which she reacted calmly - and was always available to respond to our needs/questions even when she was busy with other weddings. It's hard for me to imagine how she was managing other multiple weddings at the time because of the amount of attention she gave us! On the day of the wedding - with the whole host of emotions that go along with it - Jyl was so great at nudging us along and taking care of everything it seems - that I was able to stay out of my head and be totally in the moment. Finally, she's just a charming and lovely person, so there wasn't any of the social awkwardness that happens sometimes when you start working with someone. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience with Jyl and believe any couple who works with her will feel the same.

Nothing but good things to say about Jyl. She has great instincts, is always a step or two ahead (at least!) knows how to deal with and talk to anybody, and will keep you from losing your mind. She really knows what she's doing and is totally dependable. She followed my wife and I on a journey where we completely changed course so many times and she didn't even blink. Of course it ended up being perfect. 5 stars!
