My mom ordered some cupcakes and extra desserts to go with our brownies we had for the wedding. The bakery was super easy to work with and they made scrumptious cupcakes. My father-in-law told me he usually doesn’t like sweets but he had 3 cupcakes because they were so good.

Do not call any other bakery unless you have tasted and seen what Mindy can do. she is good because she makes things taste like what you remember a really good old fashioned bakery tasting like, and yet the presentation is so very current. We used Mindy for our daughters wedding ( and it was spectacular), but we also use her services for any occasion that might call for flowers...We send her food instead. I love salt, so the options she has for treats in this category are all I want for dinner. no meal, just her desserts!. she is the BEST.

Mindy with Decadent Creations was PHENOMENAL. I first met with her about a year before my wedding. The tasting was amazing, she provided samples of everything I said I was interested in and added more. I found her searching Google and after the tasting booked her right away. I was SO pleased to find that she did multiple farmer's markets in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area. Because of this, I tasted even more items (bought many along the way and she'd send something for my husband to taste too!) and made a few changes to original menu of desserts I had selected. (We had a lemon wedding cake, we also had chocolate cake, sour cherry galette, key lime tarts, creme brulee, lemon bars, chocolate brownies.... maybe more???) The creme brulee she did specially for our wedding because it's my husband's favorite. We were then able to hire someone from her company to come fire and serve it at the wedding.

We made multiple changes, had multiple requests, and had nothing but someone easy to work with who seemed genuinely excited to be a part of our day. No one can stop talking about how amazing dessert was.

Mindy was one of four vendors I had that I would truly recommend with no reservations. You really can't go wrong choosing her.

We got wedding pie from them. They are very friendly and worked with us as our guest count changed. We got the salted pecan, apple, and triple berry and were all raves!!

Decadent creations is excellent, well worth working with Mindy - she is super kind and responsive and up front about costs.

Mindy makes the most DELICIOUS cake! While trying to decide how to do dessert for 250 guests without breaking the bank, my mom and I picked up a piece of her Salty Dog cake from the New Seasons in Beaverton. It was amazing. We decided then to use her for our wedding, and it was a great decision. We chose to do a small cutting cake and serve our guests the Salty Dog sheet cakes and the price per person ended up being comparable to Costco's price per person for their fancier desserts while tasting infinitely better.

While I can't disagree with the reviews below about some problems with email responsiveness, I never had any major issues working with Mindy. She also let me know in advance that during Thanksgiving and Christmas she would be slow to respond, and so I was never worried about it. She was very kind and professional whenever we spoke over phone or email. I highly recommend using Mindy, or at the very least picking up some of her treats to try before making a decision.

I worked with Mindy, and her cakes were so delicious and decorated so wonderfully. My only complaints were that she didn't respond to emails very quickly (especially the couple weeks leading up to the wedding) and she forgot a couple little details we had talked about a week before the wedding... However, all in all I enjoyed working with her and she came through on the day of the wedding which is all that counts!!

We really enjoyed the cake tasting box and loved the Pink Lady cake. We also added macarons which were a big hit! Mindy and Mel were very kind. I think responsiveness/communication could have been a little better, but in the end everything went well.

I will start by saying that Mindy's cakes are delicious, and her business is definitely a good value. She is willing to work with you on types of cakes, along with the size and style, and when you are able to speak with her she is very polite and seems to be very committed to you and your event.

Now, I never actually got a chance to meet Mindy. I was an out of town customer, and did not get a chance to do any cake tasting. I chose Decadent Creations based on her location to my venue, as well as other reviews online.

I first contacted Mindy about her services 6 months before the event. In the first two months it took her about 4-5 days to respond to emails. After that I was lucky to get a response within 2 weeks. I constantly had to send multiple emails to get a response - after waiting at least 7 business days for a response. I emailed her a month before the event to get things in order, no response for 14 days! When she did respond (10 days before the event) I asked for clarification on an issue and never got a response. The day of the event I never met her, she did not come find me to say hello or confirm with anyone that she was there. The cakes just magically appeared.

This is all frustrating, but not what made me the most angry. The reason that I would not recommend Decadent Creations to anyone was the fact that Mindy and I had agreed upon specific decorations that went with the event theme - I even paid extra for her decor. And the day of there were absolutely no decorations. There were multiple cakes set up on various cake stands, but not a single piece of decoration. Later, I went back into my emails to double check everything, and I found a drawing that Mindy had sent me with how she would set up the cake table with her own decorations to match the rest of the events decor - and how because of this it would cost a little bit more. She proved none of that.

Overall, her cakes were good, but she did not provide all services that were paid for.
