If you’re planning a wedding, there’s an excessive number of outside vendors that you will eventually hire. Unfortunately, you don’t get much of a personal touch from most of them. Most vendors have done so many weddings that it has become a cookie cutter process for them, whether it be the caterers, decorators, florists, etc. Happy to say that’s not the case with Love per Second. Their photography and videography services made them our favorite vendors for our wedding. Our wedding pictures and our video came out great, but what really stood out was the initiative they always showed in trying to help us. Vendors may go through tons of weddings, but for the couple, it’s most likely their first and only (knock on wood) time going through the process. Love Per Second went above and beyond by constantly provided feedback and ideas beyond the photos and videos. They helped brainstorm timelines, expected costs, and preferred vendors. In fact, Davina, the head photographer, even shared her own personal spreadsheet she used when she was planning her own wedding, which included the day-of timeline, bridal party organization, and to-do list. Talk about a personal touch. One last point - I don’t take optimism and positivity from vendors for granted. They are people too, after all. It meant a lot to both me and my wife that the team at Love Per Second was always energetic, positive, and punctual. Would definitely recommend if you are still in the market for a photographer/videography team!

More than just a photographer, Davina was a confidante, a wedding-planner, outfit planner, and visionary. From our initial consultation, I felt instantly comfortable. She was easy to talk to, accessible, and a constant comfort throughout our wedding season. You could sense Davina loves what she does and I was always astounded by how thoughtful she was about every detail, how organized she was, and how generous she was with her time and talents.

Engagement Shoot: Part of why we hired Davina is I knew my partner and I would feel pretty awkward in front of the camera and we had heard that she helped couples feel comfortable. She achieved this and more, allowing our personalities to shine through while also elevating us so we looked better than imagined! Davina was incredibly generous with her time, spending almost the whole day with us. I’ll note that we asked her to travel to NYC (where we first met) and she was incredibly reasonable with additional travel expenses. The experience of the shoot was so much fun! She had a nice blend of knowing exactly where to take photos and honoring our desires for particular locations or vibes. Ahead of the shoot, she sent me a shared pinterest board so we could share inspiration photos, and even answered questions on what to wear and what to bring which helped soothe my type-A, anxious personality. By the end of the day, my partner and I were laughing freely with Davina and her husband and enjoyed easy, warm conversation.

Wedding Day: Leading up to the wedding day, Davina was extremely organized in helping us outline the details for the day - helping us fine tune our day-of schedule, sending a list of potential items needed for “detail” shots, suggesting ways to troubleshoot some potential issues at the venue, even offering to bring her own equipment (e.g. an unsightly vent in the ceremony space). I felt that I had all these anxieties about the little details leading up to the wedding, but one meeting with Davina made everything fall into place. On the day-of, Davina again was extremely generous with her time, arriving with her whole team very early in order to scope out locations for photos, set-up, and test lighting without charging any additional fees. When we met on the day-of, it was such a comfort to see a familiar face, it felt like a sigh of relief. I remember I was stressed because we were behind schedule, but Davina immediately reassured me that this was normal and from then on, I felt I could just trust her implicitly to keep the day running smoothly. Her and second-shooter, Jessica, kept us right on schedule, directing every individual to where they needed to be when. My bridesmaids constantly noted how amazing the whole team was.

She gave great tips to our guests/family members for poses while also allowing natural moments to happen. I loved that she was always enthusiastic and encouraging (”Oh, I love this!”) which made everyone feel more at ease. It was wonderful to do our couple photos with her after the engagement session because she had learned which expressions and poses looked most natural for us. How amazing to work with a photographer who understands you! Then, literally the NIGHT of our wedding, Davina sent us several photo sneak-peeks and they literally brought tears to my eyes because they so captured the emotion of the day.

tldr: nothing but the most glowing praise for Davina and her whole team! We can’t wait for the rest of our photos! Every time we take photos now, I wish Davina were there to help us haha.

We consider ourselves so lucky to stumble upon their page while browsing around for videographers. From the start they were so nice to work with. Not only were they professional, they also made us comfortable when they were filming. Reminded us to breathe and take in the moments while they captured our day. We’re definitely calling them back for our next big event. Worth every penny!

While we didn’t go with videography or photography from Love Per Second, my wife and I can’t speak any more highly about Sam Yim, who was our day of coordinator. Sam’s professionalism, care, and desire to go above and beyond was second to none. It is not a stretch to say that without Sam, our wedding would not have gone as well as it did. We are so pleased with our choice to have gone with Sam and would highly recommend him to any friend.

I absolutely love the Love Per Second team! Davina and Grace are sweet, professional, and caring. LPS did our engagement photoshoot, as well as wedding photography and videography. We loved the final products! Davina has a great eye and made us comfortable in front of the camera. Their whole team is so talented and sweet (including the second shooters). Davina sent us sneak peeks of our photos quickly, which was really nice. I definitely recommend investing in video for your wedding, as we were able to relive our wedding day and see moments that I didn't get to see on the actual day (like our flower girl walking down the aisle). Our experience with the LPS team was for our wedding. From the moment we shared our desires for their team to the day of our wedding, they have been very supportive and helpful during the entire process! They were generous in sharing their expertise, they were supportive of our decisions, and they were very organized in helping us carry out the plans.
As hectic and crazy the wedding day can be for the bride and groom, the photo/videography team and the day of coordinator made it smooth-sailing.

When we received our wedding album, we could see not only the high quality photography and videography but we could also see how much work they put in during the day as well. They captured many moments we had missed and we want to treasure for our lifetime. We are so excited to share our photos and videos to our friends and family, and to re-live our memories.

My husband and I wanted to plan our own wedding but needed someone to make sure our plan was carried out on the day of. That was Sam, the best wedding coordinator we could ask for!
Sam is very organized and timely, two most important characteristics of a wedding coordinator. He checked in with us throughout the planning process and made sure he understood what was important for us on the day of.
We did not worry one bit because we had Sam as our day of coordinator, and we were able to enjoy the wedding fully. We also heard from our guests how good Sam was, especially with organizing the vendors (because the rain caused minor changes to our plan, which Sam already helped us plan for). We love Sam :)

I was connected to Davina and her team by my sister and brother in law. I was unsure of what to expect, pricing, and just general wedding photo/video knowledge because this is my first time. Davina was so sweet the first time we chatted and was so thorough in explaining what to expect. Per our package we even got an engagement photo shoot and those photos blew me away. I knew I was in good hands so trust that if you are picking LPS you are doing right.
Leading up to the wedding we were in communication and I actually even hired Sam as our day of coordinator. I highly recommend getting a day of coordinator, and if you do, choose Sam! He was so on top of everything from emailing vendors to making sure the day of ran smoothly. He checked in on me day of and went above and beyond his duties. I can’t thank him enough for how much pressure and anxiety he took off my shoulders. He was awesome!
Davina, Grace, and the rest of the team were so amazing and sweet. The day of they were able to get all the photos that I wanted and I even got some sneak peeks the next day and they looked incredible. I cannot wait to see the rest.

We legitimately have not stopped talking about how amazing Love Per Second was at our wedding. Incredible communication and also great personalities from all team members. Even if you're camera shy, they make you feel so at ease, and your photos will come out like you're the most photogenic person in the world. They will hype you without being phony, and they're very sweet and encouraging. My now-husband, who tends to not like having photos taken of himself, absolutely loved our experiences with Love Per Second. They will direct your poses from start to finish, if you have no idea how to act in front of a camera.

They even also helped me out with a first-look prank that I had planned wherein his brother (also a groomsman) would surprise him in a white dress before I came out for the real thing, and it went so smoothly, and we got awesome photos/videos from it. They also got all the photos from our photo shot list (they'll send you a sample/template for you to compile your own), and they were not in the way at all. Even with my husband having a huge family (8 siblings!), we got all the photos we wanted.

They also arrived early for our getting-ready photos and stayed until the end of our event. Their team of 5 (for the package we purchased) felt like the perfect amount. They have different packages and tiers of services. I highly recommend that you also get your engagement photos taken with them so that you can acclimate yourself with their process! Their product really emphasizes the difference between a professional, artistic photo/video team and just some people with a fancy point-and-shoot camera. Davina is also super cool/fun and I actually really want to be friends with her lol.

From proposal, to engagement, to wedding, to every day life.. Love Per Second has been nothing short of amazing. My now husband reached out to LPS when he was planning our proposal and they went above and beyond for even our proposal photos. Through our long 18 month engagement, communication with LPS never ceased and Grace, Davina, and Sam were all willing and ready to answer all of our many questions.
Not only did our engagement/wedding photos and video come out AMAZING... but our day of coordination by Sam went swimmingly. Though he was our day of coordinator, it felt like we had hired a full coordinator- he answered every question I had during our engagement leading up to the wedding. He never left us hanging and did his best to be present during engagement.
Wedding day is when we really were blown away! I 1000% believe I avoided being a bridezilla thanks to LPS' team. Everything I was thinking of was handled before I mentioned anything. It was like they were mindreaders!
Grace and Davina's presence while shooting made us feel so comfortable all the while Sam's coordination and friendly but go getter attitude helped the day move so smoothly (even when my family members showed up late for makeup!). Our bridesmaids and groomsmen were instructed perfectly throughout the day AND even our bajillion family members during family photo time. Davina, Grace, and Sam are truly a dream team.
