I don't even know where to began with this review. First off, this venue is absolutely stunning and by far was the best all around venue in Columbus. The staff exceeded my expectations and truly made our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be. Alexa, our coordinator, was amazing and very detail oriented. She was able to answer all of my questions in a timely manner and work with us on our budget and help us with everything we wanted for our wedding day. Nicole was also amazing to work with and very helpful and detailed. The staff treats you like family and was able to help us with anything we needed on wedding day and allow everything to flow smoothly. Our guests all commented on how beautiful our venue was. Sure, it is a little pricey but in the end it was truly worth it for us as we couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. I highly recommend this venue. Be sure to reach out and book early!

The Darby House is a beautiful venue with so many amenities that made for a wonderful wedding experience. Having the entire property to yourself gives your guests a private and spacious event space. We had our ceremony outdoors on the patio, dinner in the dining room, and cocktail hour and dancing in the racing room. This allowed us to enjoy the entire space, with a quiet space away from the dance floor for anyone who needed a break!

Darby House provides a day of coordinator, who helps keep everything running smoothly, from directing vendors as they arrive and set up, to making sure the ceremony starts on time, to helping with the flow of the wedding. In the planning period, you are matched with this same coordinator, so they really get to know you and your event. We were with Nicole originally, but after our postponement we worked with Jade. We were planning from out-of-state, so most of our meetings were by phone or conversing via email. Jade was always willing to check on our requests or verify information. She was fantastic on our wedding day, helping keep the bridal parties on time, setting out place cards and decor, driving us around for photos, making sure the lights were dimmed and dinner and dessert were served... She took away the list of worries you have leading up to the day, and made sure my husband and I, and our parents, could enjoy ourselves!

The Darby House provides a GoogleDoc for planning that was very comprehensive, detailing everything we didn’t know we needed to decide, but was also a bit finicky to fill out. Hopefully some of that was related to pandemic-restrictions, and it will be back to fully editable in the future!

When we wanted to postpone due to the pandemic, the Darby House was able to accommodate our request for our preferred new date. A silver lining to this was that during the slow 2020 season, Darby House underwent renovations that we were able to enjoy! The bridal suite is spacious and beautifully lit. We were able to have hair and makeup for the entire bridal party, as well as lovely bridal photos in this space. Meanwhile, the groomsmen enjoyed hanging out in their own room, complete with foosball.

As far as other vendors, there is a selection of caterers to pick from. The Darby House can provide suggestions to other vendors they’ve worked with (their DJ suggestion was amazing!). They were more than willing to accommodate our vendors, and the day-of coordinator handles communication the week of the wedding, which was one less thing for us to worry about!

There are a number of provided amenities and extras that you can select to personalize your experience. There are multiple bar packages to choose from (Darby House has their own liquor license, so they supply all bartenders and alcohol, but are happy to work with you on signature drinks). There is a wide assortment of linen colors available. Arbors can be borrowed for the ceremony, as well as easels and a few decor items. Chairs can be upgraded if you would like (we stuck with the standard option).

We received so many compliments on the space all night from our guests! It looked magical! The river is a lovely backdrop, and floor to ceiling windows in every room mean the indoor space feels bright and open. To take advantage of the property, the couple can be taken on the golf cart to take pictures throughout the property. If you’re looking for a venue with beautiful natural setting, but an elevated interior, look no further than the Darby House.

Our experience with Darby House was absolutely amazing! From day one, we were very comfortable with the staff and their kind, warm, professional personalities. Alex was our coordinator and I cannot say enough how amazing she was. By the end of our wedding day, she did not feel like just our event coordinator, but a friend. Every time we met with Alex we left feeling very calm and at ease. With the staff at Darby house, we knew our wedding was in good hands. Brenda was also with us for our wedding day and she was a great presence to have. She was an amazing help and we really enjoyed getting to know her. I would absolutely recommend Darby House for your event!

The Darby House was by far the best decision I made for my entire wedding. Alex Carsonie was our wedding coordinator and she was a saint. She made the entire process loads less stressful and every time I spoke to her I felt better! She coordinated everything and it couldn't have gone better! We received an insane amount of compliments about the food, and they packed up the leftovers! The setting couldn't be prettier and every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day!

I cannot say enough good things about Darby House. If the gorgeous venue itself isn't enough to make you book, the staff is incredible. Throughout the entire wedding process our coordinator was supportive and attentive to our needs. Abby was one step ahead of us every step of the way and she was willing to work with us on every aspect of the wedding. My husband wanted to have Miller Lite at the wedding, but Darby House didn't offer it. As a surprise, Abby arranged to have some at the wedding for us and my husband was thrilled! The food is AMAZING. Well worth every penny and the service staff was excellent. I highly recommend The Darby House and any Cameron Mitchell Venue.

We were extremely satisfied with our wedding at the Darby House, and will absolutely recommend Cameron Mitchell catering to our friends. Our coordinator, Emily, was amazing. She made sure everything went smoothly and kept us on schedule. She even constructed a last minute bouquet for my maid of honor after a mix up with the florist. We couldn't have done it without her. Beautiful venue, great staff. Very happy with our decision to get married at the Darby House.

The Darby House was perfect for our wedding ceremony and repetition in August 2015! We've received so many compliments! The staff was amazing and helped plan the entire event. The whole process was incredibly easy and they went above and beyond to make the day perfect for us.

The Darby House was an absolutely amazing venue. I had a morning wedding (10:30am ceremony) with about 120 guests and the coordinators at Darby House helped me put together my day from our very first meeting. The Cameron Mitchell catering is delicious! The coordinators were extremely flexible and let me put together a completely non-traditional wedding. They gave me food and vendor suggestions that were on point and immediately answered any question I had, whether big or small. I highly recommend this venue, they are awesome!

My daughter and son-in-law were married at Darby House yesterday (7-17-15), and I am excited to be able to write a review. From beginning to end the staff at Darby House were kind, helpful and went above and beyond in caring for every detail and every aspect of the wedding. We could not afford a hugely extravagant wedding, and when we went for our first visit, we were given options to make the venue affordable for us. The staff was responsive throughout the planning process. My daughter and son-in-law both have special dietary needs, and these were taken seriously and addressed carefully. The rehearsal was helpful, and because of the schedule, we were fortunate to be able bring the majority of the things we needed to have for the wedding and reception that night before. They set up and decorated all of the tables so that we could focus on last minute details and enjoy the rehearsal dinner. The day of the wedding, our wedding coordinator (Abby) was a joyful, happy and calming presence for us. She attended to the details and gave the staff their instructions. And this was so wonderful! They didn't just set up what we brought. They took the general theme for the wedding and added additional props and decorations to make everything look extra special. The servers were attentive, professional, and lovely. During the reception, the staff set up the table with the favors beautifully. And the food was amazing! We had a brunch wedding, and the menu included fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon (So.Good.), sausage, and upside down french toast. It was really, really good. We had so many compliments on the food, and I want to pass them on! Bravo to the chef! The biggest surprise to me came after the wedding and reception. The staff packed up food for the newlyweds to take with them for their honeymoon, which was lovely and thoughtful. After my daughter and son-in-law left, I asked people to stay and help us clean up, but every time I mentioned a task that needed to be done, the staff

Our wedding was on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Darby House, and they exceeded all of our expectations. We worked with Abby Antonick as our wedding coordinator, and Mike Redcay as the manager of the venue and they were both truly exceptional. We had the most beautiful day, were able to have our ceremony out on the patio with the beautiful scenery in the background. Everything was perfect.

The reception was fantastic. The food is literally the best wedding food you will ever have in your life. Everything is delicious. We opted to serve buffet style, the buffet was beautiful and all of our guests were so happy! They even were able to provide special meals for guests with dietary restrictions on the spot, and accomodated my 91 year old grandmother by plating her dinner for her so she could stay seated. These are the kind of things Cameron Mitchell Events make happen. They are top notch.
