Unproffesional
Booked with Daniella's through Esmerelda back in November 2021 to reserve chairs (qty 900) for a wedding, half for the ceremony, and half for the reception. Initially, she was very accommodating and friendly. She told us that she couldn't supply as they didn't have the inventory which is completely understandable. So we went with booking half the chairs through Daniella's and the other half with another vendor.
I will say that the process wasn't the most professional and formal. As much as a good customer service front is important, following through and the execution of the service is exponentially more important. We get to a month before the wedding and we are finalizing guest counts and confirming reservations with vendors when we get a text message from Esmerelda notifying us that the contract is off and the chairs cannot be reserved. Not even a phone call or email. The apology didn't seem very heartfelt as she seemed to just try to get it done and over with and said there is a personal matter. Now I understand that life does get in the way but this is when the professionalism went out the window. I made a phone call to inquire about the cancellation and there was no further explanation as to why the reservation was cancelled besides a personal issue. She said she would provide numbers for other vendors and has not sent any vendor information.
In general, if a vendor would have to back out last minute like this, I would at least expect the vendor to have contacted other vendors and find availability for the client before backing out and leaving the client in the dust.
Looking through reviews, there are many good reviews which I hope is the case for most customers but I do also see some poor reviews of unprofessionalism so it seems that it's not the first time. Maybe for simple events they would be a better vendor to go with but I wouldn't risk it for major events like weddings if there are last minute changes and unprofessionalism like this.
