Jill Duarte is a very talented graphic artist. I am thrilled with the wedding album she designed for me. My family and friends said it's the best album they have ever seen. She was easy to work and reasonably priced.

Planning a wedding on a tight budget is no easy task, and we knew we would have to make sacrifices. Every photographer we looked at was either completely beyond our budget or the pictures were so cookie-cutter and seemingly of low quality, that we had pretty much resigned ourselves to not having a photographer for our wedding.

We were so happy to come across the listing for D.R. Photography and Design--not only did we really like their pictures, their pricing was so reasonable! We met with them to look over their portfolio and discuss the different options that are were available. We knew right away that their style of photography and their approach to our event was exactly what we were looking for. Nick and Jill were so friendly and easy to work with, they were very responsive to our emails and questions, provided us with a straight-forward contract, and were very flexible with our contract when we needed to make some adjustments to it.

As for the services themselves--we couldn't be happier. We had Nick taking our photos, and during the reception so many of our friends commented on how great of a job he was doing. He was seemingly everywhere, yet very unobtrusive with our guests--some of them said how they wished they had had someone like that at their wedding. After the ceremony we spent a few minutes taking some portraits with family, then Nick had scouted out a visually interesting place near the reception to take some photos of just the two of us, and quickly got us back to the party!

We received the links to our online gallery about 3 weeks after the wedding, which was great to share with our family and friends who live all over the US and Canada. With four hours of coverage we ended up with over 500 photos, and this was after the first edit done by Nick and Jill. Looking at the photos was so much fun! Nick captured so many small moments not just between my husband and I, but also among our families and guests. The perspective is so fresh and modern--the colors are bright and crisp. We narrowed down our "favorite favorites" to about 200 great photos! We've received tons of compliments on all of our photos. The DVD copies of our photos (which comes with a print release) were of equally high quality and we love the ability to print our own photos as gifts and for years to come.

I really can't recommend D.R. Photography and Design enough. From their great design and quality photography, to their professionalism and friendliness, to their very reasonable pricing, I really believe they are the best value around Pittsburgh for great photos of your event--we LOVE ours!

Choosing your wedding photographer is no small task—you want your pictures to show details of your wedding. You also want your photographers to get candid photos of you and your guests and capture the overall tone of the day. Nick and Jill did just that. They took the portrait shots that we wanted and managed to take candid shots throughout the entire day without interrupting anything (dances, conversations, etc). They have good prices, are super friendly and easy to work with, dress professionally, and quickly respond to any questions we have (even now that the wedding is over—we still have questions about albums). We have received compliments from everyone who has looked at our pictures. We highly recommend D.R. Photography and will be sure to use their services in the future.

Jill and Nick were wonderful. They were one of the most professional vendors we dealt with, and the vendor with which I was happiest! They went out of our way to work with our budget and give us the services we wanted. Their rates are reasonable as well. During the wedding I got several compliments on both photographer's easygoing yet professional demeanor, and when the photos arrived my husband and I could not have been happier with the results. I would recommend them without reservation.
