When I was planning my wedding, one of the most important components of the entire planning process was finding a photographer that would be able to capture the joy and love on the most important day of my life - and man, oh man, did Sarah deliver that...and MORE. My husband does not like his photo taken, so I knew we would need someone that could make him feel comfortable and be able to capture organic candids. From our first conversation, I knew that Sarah was special and would bring the positive energy and light that we were looking for. From flying to Chicago to take our beautiful engagement photos to truly capturing the essence of my dream wedding, it was such a joy to work with her. As my husband calls her, she is a true "hype woman." She made me feel like the most beautiful bride and made all the photos with so many people (that at other wedding have previously felt tedious) so much fun! I am so thankful that my wedding brought Sarah into my life. She is a gem of a human and I am looking forward to having her capture future big moments in my life! We absolutely LOVED having Sarah as our wedding photographer with Jeff Gleason as the second shooter. Sarah also did our engagement photo shoot in DC. From our first phone call, her energy and enthusiasm was contagious. She is the very best hype person; she made us feel comfortable and happy which showed in our photos. She did an excellent job corralling various groups with whom we wanted to photos -- and doing so kindly and patiently. Sarah made everyone feel at ease. Most importantly, we absolutely love how our wedding photos came out!! They really capture the joy of the day. We were so thrilled with Sarah and lucky to have her.

We used Sarah Cramer for our wedding in October 2021 at Farmington Country Club and she was truly the best photographer and friend we could ever ask for! She makes you feel so calm on the big day and she is just a joy to be around. I cannot recommend her enough. She is flexible, caring, and fun. When we had to change our ceremony at the last minute, she made it work and never stressed over it for a second. You spend a ton of time with your photographer over the course of your wedding weekend and she is absolutely the best person to be with!!!

Wow. It’s been 3 months since our wedding, where Sarah was our photographer, and I still look at the pictures she took almost every day. Every time I take a few moments to glance at a few, I notice a new little series of photos I love. Sarah’s photos capture every important moment and more. She is immensely talented and has a natural but vivid style. More importantly, my husband and I just love her; we have the sweetest memories of that day, and even a few moments with just Sarah (and Jeff!) that were really special. She and Jeff were so fun to be around and kept us smiling and laughing naturally so we didn’t feel posed at all. We still have guests telling us how much they loved Sarah too, especially our wedding party, who gushed over how creative and efficient she was. Even more of a testament to her fabulous-ness, my husband is the one telling all our friends that Sarah was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. Worth every penny. And we want to be friends with her forever!

Sarah is so much fun to work with! I am not someone who necessarily feels at ease in front of a camera, but Sarah went out of her way to talk to us and get to know us during our engagement shoot and our wedding. We felt totally comfortable with her and had a blast both days! Not only is she fun to be around, but her photography is amazing. She has a great eye for composition and she got Josh and I out of our comfort zone a few times with amazing results. It rained on our wedding day, and I dreaded taking photos outside because I was worried about getting my hair/makeup and dress messed up, but Sarah found some great opportunities for some outdoor shots. She was right, the rain adds a very special element to the photos. My husband Josh and I can't recommend Sarah enough and we are looking forward to hopefully having her photograph us again in the future!

Sarah Cramer Shields is the best!!! She photographed my wedding, and she made every part of the day so amazing! Due to COVID, we ended up having a small backyard wedding instead of the large wedding that we originally planned, and Sarah was SO accommodating and supportive throughout the whole process. Not only did she capture every part of the day so perfectly and create the most beautiful photos, she also just radiated happiness and positivity during the whole evening! She made our wedding feel so special and fun! I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone and everyone who is looking for a photographer!!

I cannot recommend Sarah enough! Not only is she an incredibly gifted photographer, but she is an absolute pleasure to work with. From the moment I reached out to her, she was incredibly warm and always responsive. We hired Sarah to take our engagement pictures, and at the last minute had to change the day due to weather concerns. She happily shifted her schedule to accommodate us (including shooting in two locations and taking some family shots with our parents at the end), and made the entire shoot a lot of fun. To my surprise, we never felt awkward at any point during the photo shoot because she expressed such genuine interest in us and our relationship, and gently guided us (she'd scouted out the best angles and spots in our desired locations beforehand) while keeping the conversation running to capture our natural selves. Her photos are truly breathtaking and skillfully capture the personality of the subjects. We received a bunch of previews the day after the photo shoot and received the full album two days later. We couldn't be happier or more grateful - THANK YOU, SARAH!

CRAMER PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE BEST! Upon meeting Sarah Cramer Shields, she started off by asking us how we met. We appreciated that she wanted to know us as a couple before discussing wedding day logistics.
After our first meeting, we knew that Sarah was the photographer for us. She was energetic, warm, friendly, experienced, and enthusiastic. We appreciated her professionalism and thoughtfulness leading up to our wedding day. Sarah checked in with us to hear about planning, vendors, and inquired about our “must have” shots for our wedding day. We loved her proactivity! Sarah’s positive reputation exceeds beyond her clientele. She is a loved vendor in the community with over a decade worth of experience. On our wedding day Sarah showed up on time, ready to work, and had the most enthusiastic attitude. She made us feel calm and comfortable in those nervous moments leading up to the ceremony. Her positivity also made us excited through out the day! My husband and I had a WONDERFUL time doing pre ceremony shots with our bridesmaids and groomsmen. We both felt Sarah made these group shots feel effortless and FUN. Sarah was familiar with our wedding venue. She knew how to utilize every aspect of the property to add versatility in pictures. She had fantastic recommendations which provided a story through photography. Looking back we felt we got to see our entire wedding day. Sarah and her second shooter, Ashley Cox were a JOY to work with. While they exemplified the highest level of professionalism, they felt like our dear friends. Your wedding day is emotional and intimate. Sarah and Ashley were able to share in our joy, while being nonintrusive. From beginning to end Sarah exceeded our expectations. Sarah is completely amazing! I first met Sarah a few years ago when I hired her to take some headshots for me, having seen her photos from friends' weddings and other portrait sessions she'd done. It was such a positive experience I swore I would have her be my wedding photographer when the time came. And she was - my husband and I were lucky enough to have her take both our engagement photos and our wedding photos! Sarah is bubbly, energetic, friendly, and has such a creative eye. She truly loves talking to and getting to know her clients and, because of that, it's like your best friend is there taking your photos so you're completely at ease and yourself.
