After spending days searching through every dress shop in Houston, I was so excited to hear about a gem of a boutique that offered designer gowns for "rent"! Have you seen the prices of gowns these days? A friend told me about Couture House Rentals. I was amazed by their selection. Their staff was so friendly and welcoming, and the stylist was "amazing"! She selected a gown for me that never in my wildest dreams would I have selected. It was the perfect gown for me! After alterations, rental, and accessories, I had my entire look for a fraction of what I would have spent on a gown anywhere else. I not only saved money, but I left feeling like a million bucks. They have all dresses for any occasion. They will alter or tailor for your comfort . My dress rental was backless, not my style, so they sewed in a custom mesh panel! Wonderful people!

So many beautiful dresses to choose from & their service was spectacular! They made the whole process easy for me and took the time to listen to what I was looking for. Def recommend this place if you're looking for a fabulous gown!

I have used CHR for many events leading up to my wedding and knew, being a non-traditional event and that I would not want to buy a gown I couldn't wear again, I felt CHR was my best option.
When I went in for my first consultation I noticed the rental prices had gone up (used to be $69 for long gowns, including fitting and tailoring as well as dry cleaning) which you CANNOT beat, but I guess the owner decided that was too good of a deal and now it is around $120 for the service. I also opted to add a belt for a little extra bling and shaping and this was $20 additional, as would be any shoes, or jewelry they also have available for rental.
The ONLY complaint I have, other than my own lack of research in knowing ahead of time that prices had increased, is that while I was in for my appointment to select and try on my gown, I had to set another appointment for the tailoring which they used to do at the same visit BUT this was for my wedding gown and they were very busy so I can understand needing to separate these appointments. I set this for the following weekend at the same time, paid for the full rental and was on my way.
I received a call and found on my voicemail their needing to reschedule my appointment due to "most of their gowns being out of the store during the weekend and they needed me to reschedule". So from that message I knew the employee didn't realize I had selected my gown, OR they didn't have my reservation in the system which created a little anxiety for me, so I called back right away. The employee said they had many gowns out for a style show. I told her that since this fitting was a few days from my wedding I am only available this weekend for fitting. I could not reschedule. She asked to put me on hold; then came back and said they could still do the fitting but would need to make it Sunday instead of Saturday.
All in all it worked out fine; I just felt there was a small amount of disorganization there. Either way, the end result was good.
