I came across Corazon Photography one day on my Instagram explore page. After going through her feed and website for hours I knew I needed Melina to document my big day. After filling out her online questionnaire Melina reached out shortly after and was able to meet her one-on-one at a local coffee shop. Needless to say Melina was one of the first vendors I booked for my wedding (over a year in advance) and I am forever grateful I was able to come to that decision so quickly. From the moment I booked, Melina was always just an email or text away. She not only took my engagement and wedding pictures but also my family pictures with over 20 people in the group! Every single session I had with her she showed extreme professionalism and delivered pictures beyond my wildest dreams. On my wedding day she was not only my photographer but was literally my right hand. She not only took the time to capture all our moments but made sure my husband and I were stay hydrated throughout the night and was an advocate for my husband and I to take a moment for ourselves to really take in our big day which is now forever a core memory. Stumbling across Melina’s page on Instagram was the best thing that could have happened to us!! We hired Melina for our wedding photos and let me tell you, she is truly an angel sent from heaven! There are no words to describe how amazing she is! From the start she was super sweet, communicative, friendly, and there to answer every and all questions. She is so talented and her professionalism and expertise show in all the pictures she captures.She goes above and beyond! We loved her style of photos from the moment we saw her page. What we loved most was the color and candidness of the photos. We are a very shy couple, but she made us and our wedding party feel super comfortable and guided us on how to pose every step of the way. We would choose Melina again and again in a heartbeat! Hiring Melina was the best thing that we did for our wedding. For background, we decided to secretly elope in February, shoot our engagement pics in April, and finally have our wedding in September.

From the start, Melina was so kind and informative and she helped us create a plan from the start. On the day of our elopement, she picked the perfect spot for our first look, and she guided us through the entire photoshoot. We didn't know how to pose but Melina was on it! She got to know our family and was very kind with them too.

After our photoshoot, we were impatiently waiting for our gallery and Melina sent a few previews our way. All I can say is we were in AWE of how beautiful she captured us and our families. Melina is also incredible at being so receptive to feedback and editing requests. Of course we compensated her for her time, but she was able to edit our gallery in a different tone at a reasonable price and turnaround time.

We then hired her for our engagement shoot, which was perfect! She got to know more about or posing style there as well and the DTLA backdrop was perfect! Melina knows the best spots for shoots. The beautiful engagement pictures were used in our wedding website and our families loved our pictures so much they were moved to tears.

Finally, the big day arrived! We had two locations that day: a chapel by the beach known as Wayfarer's Chapel, and a DTLA tropical-esque venue known as Millwick. Going from airy, daylight, whimsical to a more romantic moody vibe was a challenge in itself. Melina heard our requests and delivered the gallery of our dreams.

She put together a mood board that helped us see her vision and also was super great throughout the year as we sent her our own IG posts, pinterest pics and so on.

I got married about a year ago and hired Corazon Photography. I was super excited to hire her I knew I wanted to hire her just by following her on social media. The day of my wedding she was so cold and it almost felt like she didn’t want to be there, I still think about that day because I felt uncomfortable with her being in such a private and personal space for my husband and I. She left earlier than the stated time on her own contract and she also took a very long time to even provide photos even samples of the pictures she’d taken. It took so many emails before I was able to get a response back. I was so disappointed in myself for hiring her because maybe I should’ve given other photographers a chance and my experience would’ve been better. To this day, when I think of her I get upset because she portrays herself to be such a sweet/personable person when she is not she even blocked me on social media as if I were to do anything but all I wanted were the photos from my wedding and if as an independent business you can’t live up to the contract you build maybe it’s time to reflect on your own work ethic? Because if I would’ve have been late with the payments I’m sure I would have heard back about how I was breaking the contract.
