Wedding planner who went above & beyond
We had no idea when we hired Lucia that it would be the best decision. She is from Castle Rock, but she helped us out with our wedding in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Lucia helped us find our bartender. She helped us plan, set up, sent us down the aisle, got us to our reception, and then helped us clean up. She brought set up pieces like a ladder for cupcakes, yard games, showed up at the rehearsal, and pretty much ran the show (but in a great way!) She was sweet and made us feel so special. Best money you'll spend
I knew as a woman with a type A personality that I'd need someone to do the heavy lifting on the day of my wedding, otherwise it would fall to me and no one would be trusted. Knowing this about myself I set out to find a wedding planner/day of coordinator who could be my eyes and ears and brain that day. After interviewing six or seven prospects, Lucia stood out above all the rest. Not only was she knowledgeable and experienced (she had almost five years more experience than anyone else we interviewed), but she was enthusiastic and sweet. I quickly realized she was going to be the best money we had spent during our wedding process. She was always available via text (so much so that I sometimes wondered if I was overstepping what I was paying her for) and had her eyes out for special touches for our day. One day I even got a message saying she'd found me centerpieces randomly and wanted to get them. Speaking of centerpieces, she also helped with design and conceptualizing these which was such a hard thing for me to figure out. I was grateful for her assistance. On the day of she was collected and averted a major napkin crisis all before I even had time to know about it. She kept the day running smoothly and worked well with all other vendors on my team. She also walked the fine line of letting me be in control as much as I wanted to be, and putting her foot down. Overall, we were blessed to have her with us from start to finish. Most importantly, I was able to enjoy the full day (mostly) worry free. If you're on the fence about a day of coordinator, just do it! You won't be sorry.
