We hired CM Event Design for our May 2023 Wedding in Walt Disney World. We hired Christine a little over a year before our wedding date. Everyone has that "fairy tale" dream of a wedding but CM Design brought our vision to life and then some! We were worried about working with the many vendors at WDW but Christine made everything so incredibly smooth for us as the Bride and Groom. Our wedding was an absolute dream and went off without a hitch. Her team is not only very professional but also some of the nicest people to work with! We felt very taken cared of throughout the year of planning as well as the day of. Typically the week of the wedding the Bride receives a lot of texts, calls, and emails however our 165 guests all went straight to our wedding planner! Christine and her team were able to handle every guest request without any issue.

Christine was very knowledgeable about everything we needed to do, from when to mail out save the dates, how to word our invitations for a destination wedding, and how to manage multiple events over a 4 day wedding weekend. We could not imagine pulling off our wedding without her! If you are looking for a local or destination wedding planner you will not find one better than CM Event Design!

The absolute best choice I made in this entire process was hiring Christine. I would have been getting married in the streets of Vegas in 2026 at the rate I was going! She was recommended to me by a work friend and came on late in the process. I felt like I didn’t leave her much time to work with. But she jumped in and just INSTANTLY got vendors and appointments and all the things I needed lined up and planned. She walked me through every single step of the way and was ALWAYS available when I had a question or needed to make a change. And the wedding day went off without one single issue. She even put together tape and a furniture pad to fix a broken heel on my reception shoes so I could still wear them! Could not be more grateful and cannot recommend more!

I highly recommend Christine McDevitt with CM Event Design as a wedding planner. She was hired to be the planner for my daughter’s out-of-state wedding on November 11,2022. Originally, we thought we would need her to get all the vendors and details needed for an out of state wedding. She did a wonderful job keeping everything organized with vendors, time, and budget. She did all of this and so much more.

Christine has excellent communication skills and extremely organized, but most of all she is very resourceful. Her resourcefulness is what saved our daughter’s wedding and made her dream a reality. Two days before the wedding, the venue in Daytona Beach took a direct hit by a Category 1 hurricane. Despite being relatively weak, Daytona had significant damage including a collapsed sea wall.

Christine treated us like family. I truly felt like this wedding was as important to her as it was to us. She changed her flight and left two days earlier so she would be there. However, this also meant she was stuck in a hotel in an area that was evacuated. She was unable to leave the hotel to check on the venue.

The day of the wedding, the basement of the venue was still flooded, which contained the chairs for the reception. The yard, where the ceremony was to take place in only a few hours, was flooded and had debris from the storm. Christine did not panic, but instead called every resource she had.

Somehow on the day of the wedding, everything was cleaned up and she even found gold Chiavari chairs to replace the flooded chairs! I honestly do not know what we would have done without her! This is why you hire a wedding planner because there will always be unexpected events! What could have been the biggest disaster, was instead the beautiful ceremony and reception I always dreamed my daughter would have. I received so many compliments on everything from the flowers, cake, and even the set-up of the tent and tables.

Christine planned, coordinated and skillfully executed my son's October 2014 wedding in Las Vegas. This was no easy task as we had over 200 guests and the majority traveled cross-country for the wedding. Christine procured rooms, planned menus, arranged travel plans recommended musical talent and took so much anxiety and stress off myself, my husband the bride & groom and made the day so special and magical! My wife and I held our wedding reception at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge. During the research process we met with scores of wedding planners and various event managers. While the Royal Sonesta has a nice facility, the one area that truly sold us on hosting our special day there was Christine.

Christine has an uncanny ability to build rapport and establish relationships with people instantly. During our tour of the facility it seemed as though we knew Christine for years. Christine exhibited a great personality as she made the whole experience fun and informative. After Christine’s presentation we knew instantly that we had to hold our wedding there.

During the wedding planning process Christine was everything you could ask for. She was incredibly organized, always checking in to see if we needed assistance with photographers, florists, DJ’s and invitations. Her constant communication reassured us that we were not forgetting about the little things that can be often overlooked. In addition, Christine was extremely detail oriented. She provided ideas to my wife about things ranging from how the tables should be set-up, the best lighting at various times of the night, how our appetizers and displays should be organized to ensure our guests would not feel crowded during the cocktail hour and how we could maximize the most space for the dance floor to ensure all of our guests could party. Most importantly, and dear to us, Christine often checked in with us to see how we were doing and what she could do to relieve some of the wedding planning stress.

For future events we will definitely be seeking Christine’s professional advice. Scores of other planners and event managers that we met prior to Christine were often stuffy, had no personality and seemed like their presentation was scripted word for word. Christine made the whole wedding planning process, which can often be tense at times, extremely fun. In working with Christine we always felt like we could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Christine always manages to have a smile on her face. She manages expectations exceptionally well and always went out of her way to ensure that we were happy and taken care of. Christine is truly one of the best in the business.
