I chose Karin Dodge through a recommendation of a friend in the modeling industry. I was apprehensive at first, because her avant-garde photoshoot looks were very different from what I wanted for my wedding day. Luckily, I had nothing to worry about. Karin was incredibly thorough in asking about my routine and what I wanted for the big day, to the point that she asked questions I hadn't even thought of! During my trial, she allowed me to see her work as she was doing it and let me make any changes I wanted. She quickly understood my vision and gave me a look that was natural, romantic, and just subtle enough to not feel like pancake makeup. She didn't push me to look like an Instagram influencer and gave me a look that felt very true to who I am. She also managed to give my bridal party individual looks that complemented their favorite features while still keeping our looks cohesive. Karin is kind, professional, knowledgeable, and an uplifting and calming presence on what can be a very stressful day! She was precisely on time and kept to the schedule we had discussed perfectly, allowing us to stay on schedule for the rest of the day.

In addition, she was very helpful in booking me a hair stylist about a month before the wedding. Jess, her hair stylist, was just as prompt, kind, professional, and talented as Karin. She created individual looks that gave everyone what she was looking for. She even helped one of my bridesmaids that didn't get her hair done professionally but still needed help getting a hairpiece in without running behind schedule! I'm sure that the rest of the Cleveland MUA team is fantastic if Karin and Jess are any indication.

Karin and her team are true professionals in their field and will make any bride look like the most beautiful version of herself on her wedding day. Thank you to Karin and Jess for making me and my entire group feel like queens!

I booked Karin almost a year before my wedding. I had asked her if she had experience doing make up on Asians. She did but was embarrassed that she didn't have any pics readily available to show me so she offered to do a free trial for me. I think she must have been confident in her abilities. :) When I met Karin for my trial, I immediately fell in love with her sweetness and expertise. I learned that she had worked for MAC as a trainer in the past before starting her family. She made me feel relaxed and I was able to trust her. We talked like we were longtime girlfriends and it was a fun night. When it was finally time to look at my makeup, I was amazed at how beautiful she made me look.

During the months leading up to my wedding, I had some concerns about how my eyes would look as well as my eyelashes. Karin offered to do another eye trial for me at a wedding showcase. I was worried about not having enough time for all of my bridesmaids to get their makeup done and expressed this to her. Karin was very flexible and was willing to look for an assistant or start earlier in the morning for me. She worked with me to come up with an ideal timeline.

On the day of my wedding, Karin arrived early and worked on time so we were able to stick with the timeline. She is so sweet so naturally all of my bridesmaids loved her. Most importantly, she asked all the bridesmaids what kind of look they wanted to personalize their looks and she absolutely nailed it. Everyone looked so beautiful and flawless!

We found Karin two weeks before my wedding when I was in a real pinch, and honestly it was the best thing that could have happened! Not only is she a gifted artist who creates beautiful looks, but she is a wonderful person! She thinks of every detail and is so much fun to chat with during your time. She is the perfect balance of business and fun! I couldn't recommend her more highly. She truly made me and my bridesmaids and the mothers feel so beautiful on my day! I found Karin through my wedding photographer and I hired her after looking through some of her portfolio. I didn't have much direction for Karin because I rarely wear makeup and she was able to really help me narrow down exactly what I wanted. For the trial, I met Karin at her studio and she was incredibly warm and welcoming. I had an amazing time hanging out with her and just chit-chatting about our lives. The day of the wedding, Karin also did my mother and my cousin's makeup and they had nothing but kind things to say about both Karin and their looks. I received the wedding pictures yesterday and the makeup is flawless! I would hire Karin again in a heartbeat.

Karin was so kind, professional, organized, gentle, and simply amazing! I did a stylized wedding photoshoot with her and a team of people and I don't think we could have had a better makeup artist! I will definitely be returning to her as well as sending people to her!

Karin is SUPERB. She worked with me until I loved my look at the trial (and took feedback via email before the big day!), and then on wedding day just absolutely nailed it. I felt prettier than I've ever felt and still looked like ME!

My desired look was "natural" with a little oomph, which I know is vague. (In fact we stopped working with another artist a couple of weeks before the wedding because this was difficult to communicate — and totally lucked out in finding Karin). I don't wear a lot of makeup, if any, every day, and I was worried about looking too vamped up/different.

Karin, with her many years of experience working and training others at MAC, did not find this request difficult at all. She has an absolutely expert hand, and even more importantly, an ear. She really listens and is totally committed to her clients walking away 100% satisfied. Her technique is impeccable and she knows exactly how to emphasize your facial features — I also saw her do it with my bridesmaids, who looked stunning as well!

Seriously, I can't believe how lucky we were to snag Karin. On top of doing the best makeup I've ever had done, she was a delightful part of our day getting ready! She is fun and sweet and we all loved working with her.

Karen is truly a professional, she is very talented and really listens to what you wanted. I loved my experience with her on my wedding day, she was very thorough.
