Jay was amazing. He was very professional and helpful every step of the way. From his excellent DJ skills to the photo booth and props we couldn’t have been happier. He got the crowd going and everyone was on the dance floor all night. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone!

I decided to book Jay for my October 2021 wedding after seeing him DJ a friends a couple years back. He’s so good at reading the crowd and keeping the party going, we were on the dance floor all night! He’s also a great communicator and tended to our requests without hesitation. I was so pleased with my decision to book with city spin events for my wedding. We had a small wedding but also we wanted to dance. Can not recommend City Spin Events enough for your special day! Jay nailed it, we had a diverse crowd of people all different ages and somehow he managed to get everyone out of the dance floor!! He was concerned with the songs that we wanted to hear and what we felt would please our guests, instead of only playing what he is used to. He was very easy to get in touch with and communicate with. He also offers a photo booth option that we chose and it was a HUGE hit! His wife, Jen, came with him to help set up and operate the photo booth and she was amazing!! He provided uplighting for us as well that set the most beautiful tone in the room. They were both so professional and enjoyable to work with, they made sure the entire night went smoothly for us. Weddings can get crazy, and somehow they managed to meet everyone’s requests and needs while remaining so pleasant and professional! If you want an unforgettable wedding, hire Jay Lavey as your DJ. When you talk to him prior to your event you will immediately notice the excitement in his voice to host your event, he genuinely loves what he does and it shows on the dancefloor. The only thing I wanted out of my wedding was to have a packed dancefloor all night and for all the guest to enjoy themselves and that is exactly what he did. I have been to weddings where the DJ has a pre determined playlist and they do not change it up if things aren’t going well, and those weddings always stink. This is not Jay, he reads the room and plays music based on the mood. The dancefloor was full the entire night and people were having the time of their lives. So many friends and relatives came up to me after asking where I found the DJ because it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to, and they’ve never seen a dancefloor that full for an entire wedding. In addition he also provides up lighting and the photo booth which is very convenient. Thanks for an incredible night Jay!

I planned my wedding in the middle of covid when so much was still unknown. Luckily, I had amazing vendors which made the planning so much less stressful. I had no concerns when it came to Jay. I knew he would have everything handled, the music selections were awesome, he was great about playing everyone’s requests, and he even helped me plan a special surprise with my first dance with my dad.
