Amazing venue with great owner
Don’t Waste Your Money
I would like to preface this review by saying that I tried to talk to the owner to make things right, but she failed to take responsibility for her lack of organization and double booking her venue. We initially liked the venue, the owner seemed very personable. However, our experience was terrible. After seeing the venue she sent us the invoice to pay the deposit ( the only option on the invoice pay the deposit). We made the payment and were aware the remaining balance was due 2 weeks prior to the event. I never heard from her and she never sent the invoice for the remaining balance. A few days before the event I contacted her and she was puzzled that I was asking. She went into her system and stated “ it shows here you never viewed the invoice” of course I didn’t view it because SHE NEVER SENT IT! She then proceeds to tell me that the venue is already booked, I literally was in tears because invites, caterer , etc. were already set for this location on this date. She then proceeds to tell me “ I should have secured the venue first”. I paid the deposit she requested and waited for her. She said it was my fault for not paying the remaining balance on time and that “we talked”. Yes, I didn’t pay the balance prior to the due date because I didn’t have a way to do it since she never sent the invoice. It was never stipulated that it was my responsibility to call her or text her to remind her to send me the invoice to pay her. She obviously dropped the ball, double booked herself and blamed me for it. She refused to return our deposit which was the minimum she could do because we were put in a predicament to find another venue in less than 24 hours before our event. She sent the invoice with the remaining balance after I talked to her, to show me the due date and basically blame me for her lack of commitment to her business. Please don’t waste your money. There are other venues that are just as nice and run their business with integrity.
