The Chapel at Gruene is a boutique wedding venue tucked away in the heart of New Braunfels, Texas. Located on ten private acres of beautiful Texan farmland, this picturesque chapel and enclosed reception hall provides once-in-a-lifetime occasions with a rustic yet elegant setting. It features everything a couple needs to bring their "I do's" to life, including stunning natural surroundings, a dedicated management team, and inviting overnight lodging.
Facilities and Capacity
The Chapel at Gruene can comfortably accommodate intimate weddings of up to 100 guests. The quaint and charming chapel is designed to resemble a classic country barn, complete with white shiplap walls, long white benches, high ceiling beams, and beautiful barn doors. A short path will then lead you to the newly completed enclosed reception hall where your celebration will take place. This ornate space features a modern French Country aesthetic, stunning exposed wooden beams, and exquisite chandeliers and lighting throughout. Your friends and family can mingle in the outdoor area where wooden cocktail tables and outdoor games are set up for cocktail hour. You can celebrate your love story under the Texan night sky in a romantic woodlands setting. You are free to decorate both spaces according to your wedding theme and tastes.
Services Offered
At The Chapel at Gruene, we are ready to help you put every detail in place so that you can enjoy your wedding to the fullest. We provide on site assistance to give you extra peace of mind throughout the day. Outside vendors are also permitted so that you can truly celebrate your day the way you have envisioned.
Lodging
So your loved ones can enjoy a restful night’s stay, the beautifully appointed cottages sleep up to 25 people and are included in your wedding package. Once the reception is over, the party may be carried over and continued at the cottages where we have firepits, horseshoes, and an outdoor seating area.

From the chapel's open walls concept, the immaculate landscaping, to the absolutely stunning reception hall, everything will astound you and your guests. It is the perfect blend of elegant and elevated, but not stuffy and too formal that guests won't feel comfortable letting loose. Having the cottages reserved for the night was a huge plus, as a few friends, family, and my partner and I spent the evening by the firepit and we could turn in whenever we choose to.
The owner, Michael, and the venue manager, Shelby, were as amazing as the grounds. We met Michael back last October and the love and pride he takes in his venue shows with his dedication and responsiveness. He is excellent with communication and is so helpful with questions (and I had A LOT of questions). Shelby was hired towards the end countdown of our wedding, but she was sure to impress us with her professionalism, her adaptability, and her keen eye to even the smallest details. She was so amazingly kind and Michael could not have put his venue in better hands!
All in all, my partner and I loved our day and we feel incredibly honored to have been able to host it at the Chapel at Gruene. Shelby, your support both before and after the day was so appreciated, and I cannot thank you enough. Michael, I hope you and your family continue to be proud of your venue, it is incredible!
