We truly could not have chosen a better venue than Chapel at Gruene for our wedding! Michael Tompkins and his entire team are simply the best. MAJOR shout out to Joel who oversaw our day and made sure that we had the absolute best and most stress free experience possible. He took such amazing care of us and we are forever grateful.
The property itself is stunning. Even in the middle of January, the grounds were lush, green, and beautifully maintained. The bridal suite deserves its own special mention. It is so thoughtfully designed and honestly one of the most beautiful bridal suites I’ve ever seen. It has the perfect balance of classic, classy, and feminine. And I have to give a special shoutout to the bathtub, which ended up being the backdrop for some of my favorite photos of the entire day.
Our friends and family also loved staying on the property. The tiny houses were charming, comfortable, and incredibly well equipped.
We feel so lucky to have had our wedding at Chapel at Gruene. Our guests were blown away, and it was truly the most magical place to celebrate such an important day. -

We got compliments from everyone on this incredible venue. From the chapel, cocktail hour space, reception hall, and the beautiful outdoor area for pictures, every square inch was perfectly manicured. They also include loads of decor which was soooo helpful. Micheal, Joel, and the rest of the staff were constantly helpful before and during the wedding. The cottages are amazing and made it easier for all of our friends and family traveling as far as England, South Korea, Samoa, etc. I personally also loved the bridal suite which was so cutesy and well equipped for all our needs. Would definitely recommend! -

My husband and I decided to have our wedding out of state, from Maryland. Michael was very responsive and gave us a Facetime tour of the place to help us visualize the layout. My favorite and my savior was their Bride Guide. I referenced that guide so many times until the big day.
On the day of, I felt so welcomed by the staff. Shout out to Joel for being so friendly and down to earth! We were able to tour during the setup and it was absolutely gorgeous (we had the wedding mid-October and the weather was perfect). Every part of the venue, including the four cottages and the bridal suite, was amazing! There are no faults in booking with Michael and The Chapel at Gruene. It meant a lot that Michael personally came by when I was heading to the ceremony. I had the best time here and I highly recommend it here! -

I toured a lot of venues and none of them felt right until the Chapel at Gruene. All the other venues I looked at had so many rules and didn’t want to work with what I envisioned. When I first went to the Chapel at Gruene I was greeted by Michael the owner and he is so friendly and flexible. He truly wanted the day to be what my husband and I wanted. There’s a feeling when you go to this venue that takes the stress of all the planning away. It’s truly so special. Our wedding day went perfect and the pictures couldn’t be more beautiful. I highly recommend!🤍 -

What a hidden gem in the heart of New Braunfels, TX. Michael and his team worked with us over the span of the past year to ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams - communication was quick and the venue itself has so much to offer. The chapel, courtyard, and reception doesn’t even need too much decor as it is beautiful on its own. The cottages afterwards were nice as we were able to continue our “after party” with our friends and immediate family. Michael even allowed my dog as part of the ceremony. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for friendly staff, a beautiful venue, and comfy overnight lodging tucked into one. Not to mention, Michael and his team ensured the affordability of their venue. I can’t express enough gratitude. Thank you for making my dream wedding come to life! -

Absolutely incredible!!!
Our wedding at Chapel at Gruene in Gruene, TX last weekend was nothing short of MAGICAL! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make our special day flawless. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking—picture-perfect settings, beautifully maintained grounds, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that made our guests feel at home.
What truly set this venue apart was the exceptional staff. They were professional, organized, and genuinely invested in making our vision come to life. Every detail was handled seamlessly, from the initial tour to the final send-off. Each space at the venue is already so elegant on its own, and the venue staff will set up the tables and chairs for you ahead of your arrival. All that was left was the actual decorating of the dinner tables. We added a nice tablescape mixed with some of the greenery and classy decor items that the venue provides from their decor store (all free) mixed with the floral arrangements and stems that we brought with us. It was perfect, and so easy to execute. Their coordination, communication, and attentiveness to our floor plan and requests meant that we could just come in, set up the table decor, relax, and enjoy the rest of the day without a single worry.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines elegance, charm, and top-tier service, look no further than Chapel at Gruene. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will cherish the memories made here forever. Highly recommend! -

The Chapel at Gruene was the MOST PERFECT VENUE to get Married at! We got married March 31st 2024 and let me tell you everything from the Beautiful venue to the staff was absolutely amazing. They also have an amazing decor collection that is completely included with the venue! The Chapel at Gruene team are one of the mostly sweetest people you will come across, since the moment we booked they would reach out to make sure everything was in line to make our day perfect and they where always so helpful. Best value venue a bride could ask for!
We had the most amazing experience at The Chapel at Gruene. It was the perfect venue for our intimate destination wedding of 90 guests. Everyone loved staying in Gruene, and the cabins were perfect for our local guests. The property was beautifully manicured, and the wildflowers were abundant during our March wedding! We had a more formal, sit-down, plated dinner. I was going for a whimsical, garden-party vibe, and I was initially worried whether the venue could provide the more formal atmosphere I was looking for. It totally did! It is not just for brides looking for a rustic venue! We had a magical night and our guests could not stop raving. Michael and his team did an excellent job ensuring that our night was perfect. Plus, we saved so much money because of the excellent decor collection! You won’t regret booking this venue! -

Michael and his staff are absolutely amazing. They care, they want to make it special and they are professional and fast! I couldn’t have imagined a better place to have our wedding. Staying onsite was a huge bonus and if I could I would redo it a million times! It’s the most fun outdoor & indoor venue. Give it a tour at the very least, you will fall in love! -

We had the most wonderful wedding at The Chapel at Gruene, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The hosts were exceptional, and their warm hospitality made our special day even more memorable. The property's beauty is breathtaking, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful and beautiful the venue was. The team at the chapel was incredibly accommodating and kind, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Thank you, Chapel at Gruene, for making our day so magical! It rained on our wedding day, however, the TCG team were so incredibly hospitable and accommodating that I completely forgot it was raining. If you were thinking about choosing them as your venue, don’t think twice, and just book them! -

This venue was stunning. They provided so much it was an excellent value. Beautiful tables and chairs, decor items, sleeping arrangements, bridal suite, chapel, uplighting, bar area so much. I am sure I am missing things. It was really perfect for our wedding of 112 people. -

Memorable experience beyond words
Location of venue is exceptional. Atmosphere / Ambience exceeds wedding expectations. Communication was excellent. Venue provided decor is priceless. Chapel is picture perfect. Vendors worked well with venue coordinators. Simple set up and clean up. Would recommend for 100 guests or less. -

We cannot speak highly enough of this amazing venue! We live in Washington and planning a wedding in Texas was a potentially overwhelming idea, however, the team at Chapel at Gruene made it so easy. Their “Bride Guide” is a LIFE SAVER!! We found all our vendors and had all our questions answered in one easy place. They thought through things I didn’t, had amazing communication and timelines, and were so friendly and helpful along the way. I have been a part of quite a few weddings and they staff truly made it seamless for us, I’ve never experienced anything like it! The chapel and reception hall were PERFECT and the cottages were just what we needed. Everything was decorated and clean and organized. The most beautiful backdrop for all our photos.
HIGHLY recommend this venue, you will not be disappointed! -

We Highly recommend The Chapel at Gruene. It’s budget friendly and family oriented. Any questions I had they answered promptly by text, email or phone call. We also loved that the cottages were included with the venue. They also had decorations you can use if you wished. They were modern and very well organized with an online catalog you can pick from . The chapel is beautiful, along with the reception hall. The bridal suite is also a dream to get ready in. It had the perfect amount of Mirrors and vanities.

Kids and adults can have fun here!
Book this place. Ownership and Management are very attentive. The decorations included with the venue rental were the perfect accents and offered us a less stressful set up day. It’s beautiful. The kids were able to run around the complex safely while mom and dad were bustin’ a move on the dance floor. -

Cozy and Beautiful
Excellent place for wedding. Small and cozy. Owners accommodated each and every need of my sister and my soon to be brother in law. They worked extra hard to make their day special by offering the reception room because of all the rain. The cabins were heavenly and we could all tell that the owners took their time in picking each piece for the rooms. Highly recommend this wedding venue!! -

Michael is wonderful and very accommodating for our needs.
The property is well maintained. All of the buildings are super clean.

We LOVE this venue! We weren't totally sure if we were wanting a wedding or to elope but decided on a wedding and couldn't be happier that we did. Using this venue was the best decision we made! We loved that it is small and quant, perfect for our guest count. Michael, the owner, was so helpful with anything we leading up to our special day and was available day of. We really appreciated that he stopped by throughout the day to ensure everything was going smoothly. Our special day was everything we wanted and more! -

Plan your wedding at this beautiful venue!!
My husband and I first visited the venue a year before our wedding. And as soon as we first came onto the property, we immediately knew it was the one! And it's only grown to be more beautiful over time.
From the chapel's open walls concept, the immaculate landscaping, to the absolutely stunning reception hall, everything will astound you and your guests. It is the perfect blend of elegant and elevated, but not stuffy and too formal that guests won't feel comfortable letting loose. Having the cottages reserved for the night was a huge plus, as a few friends, family, and my partner and I spent the evening by the firepit and we could turn in whenever we choose to.
The owner, Michael, and the venue manager, Shelby, were as amazing as the grounds. We met Michael back last October and the love and pride he takes in his venue shows with his dedication and responsiveness. He is excellent with communication and is so helpful with questions (and I had A LOT of questions). Shelby was hired towards the end countdown of our wedding, but she was sure to impress us with her professionalism, her adaptability, and her keen eye to even the smallest details. She was so amazingly kind and Michael could not have put his venue in better hands!
All in all, my partner and I loved our day and we feel incredibly honored to have been able to host it at the Chapel at Gruene. Shelby, your support both before and after the day was so appreciated, and I cannot thank you enough. Michael, I hope you and your family continue to be proud of your venue, it is incredible!

The BEST Venue!
I would highly recommend booking this venue to any couple planning a wedding. The owner, Michael made the whole process so smooth from beginning to end and was very responsive to all of my questions during the planning process. The cottages on site for before and after the wedding was a huge advantage. Our guests that stayed on the property loved being able to get ready there before the wedding and took advantage of the cottages afterwards by changing out of dress clothes to comfortably enjoy the reception. I can’t say enough great things about this venue and would use them again in a heartbeat. -

The entire venue is beautiful and was perfect for our wedding reception. We were able to book all 4 cabins for our family to stay on site, it was perfect for the little ones when bedtime came! Michael was extremely patient with us and made sure that we had everything we needed. The "Bride Guide" they created was also wonderful, everything we needed to book was just a click away, there were no unexpected fees or changes! -

So Amazing!
The wedding was so beautiful and so amazing! My guests had the loveliest and most fun time, everyone loved the beauty of the venue. Not only was it so beautiful but all the behind the scenes was so easy with the help of Mrs. and Mr. Tompkins. They answered every question and had staff to help the day of. Amazing venue!!!
The Chapel at Gruene is an amazing wedding venue with helpful staff, comfortable accommodations for guests, and a simply beautiful backdrop to any wedding. I had my wedding there on March 5, 2022 and it could not have been any more perfect. My guests enjoyed themselves and the evening went off without a hitch! Michael is a great host and was very helpful during my wedding planning process as well. I highly recommend The Chapel at Gruene! -

Wonderful, quaint, intimate, friendly, convenient venue close to Gruene, Texas nestled in the Texas Hill Country between Austin and San Antonio. Owners greeted us in person upon arrival. Cottage was charming, well appointed, with attention paid to every detail. Staff was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for something special. I will definitely return!
