I call it fate. I was complaining to my husband the morning I met Char and Tony about never finding a dream wedding photographer. There we have it, Tony coming out of the Maldivian ocean taking a picture of a shell.
Now here we are.
Just an absolute dream! The sea of talent out in this world is incredible and these two beautiful souls are one of them.
You know talent when you see it, they capture their clients the way they want to be captured. When it comes to art, you either have it or you don’t. Char has it.
I am a very moody, non traditional bride and Char made my photos happen. I can’t even begin to explain how in awe I am over the images she has sneak peeked. She and Tony captured Garrett and myself in our element.
I love how comfortable I was around them. They made my 4 day event so special and are true friends. I can’t wait for our next adventure together.

From the first conversation, Char was interested in understanding how we wanted to bring our values into our wedding day so that she and Tony could think about how best to capture those moments. They provided lots of valuable material on their best practices for helping things to go smoothly day-of–gleaned from their vast experience as wedding photographers. On the day of our wedding they showed up early and were able to take the time to capture added special moments of us getting ready. They went above and beyond to make sure they got all the little moments we wanted plus all the ones that they knew we would want but didn’t think about.

They are true artists and have an amazing eye for detail and capturing just the right shot. Our photos came out beautifully–they look like they could be in a magazine. It is clear how much they care about their craft, and even more, how much they care about their clients. I’m camera shy but I felt so at ease working with them. They are warm, disarming, and brought so much joy and fun to the photo shoot. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

There are truly no words to describe how incredible Char and Tony are. From the very first meeting we had with Char, we could tell that she was truly something special. She deeply cares about what her couples envision for their wedding day and how she can bring out that inspiration and vision through her photography. She is a true artist that goes beyond the generic "wedding photos". She tries fun angles, and playful yet natural free-flowing poses all the while making sure you are having SO MUCH FUN. Tony arrived with Char for our wedding weekend and we could not have imagined a more perfect husband/wife photography duo. They have the BEST energy together and made Ian and I laugh our butts off the whole weekend and feel completely relaxed. By the end of the weekend, we truly felt like Char and Tony were no longer just our photographers, but they became real friends.

When our wedding photos finally arrived in our inboxes several weeks later, we were in absolute awe. Each photo completely took our breath away and it felt like we were right back at our wedding as tears streamed down our faces as we clicked through each photograph. We feel SO lucky to have found Char and Tony!! From our first zoom call, we knew they fully understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding day. Char met up with us in Oakland for our engagement shoot, and she was so laid back yet professional and knowledgeable–we felt totally comfortable in front of her lens! She stayed in touch in the year between our engagement shoot and our wedding, always sending timely tips about the whole wedding planning process.
When the night before our wedding arrived and we were celebrating with some of our out of town guests at the hotel, who wandered in but Tony! He and Char just happened to be staying where we hosted our welcome party. They went on to capture some photos/videos of the celebration, which really drives home that Char and Tony are totally committed to their couples. That translated into the next day, when they were both SO on top of everything. We got some sneak peeks the day after the wedding (which were amazing!!!), and our final gallery showed every moment. Char and Tony captured our day so beautifully–we will cherish these photos forever. Thank you both!!

Char and Tony are the DREAM TEAM. Truly, we could not dreamed of a better duo to have shared our special day with! Not only are they incredibly talented but they took the time to get to know us and what we wanted, which was more natural in the moment memories and they nailed it!! It helped me feel so at ease knowing I had Char right there to take control if need be to get the most incredible photos. I usually feel awkward in front of the camera but they made us so comfortable and confident! And not just in front of the lenz but overall! We actually found Char through Symboll, who were booked our photography and videography package through. Char absolutely nailed our photos and made us feel so comfortable. My husband hates photos, so believe me that was a feat! Tony came to assist and did everything from holding our champagne to capturing candids of our dog! They are the dream team!

We are so happy we hired Char and Tony to shoot our rehearsal dinner. Leading up to the event, Char texted me asking how I was doing, and gave me some tips and tricks for the weekend, a small touch I really appreciated. When we met them they set the tone with how cheerful and welcoming they were, putting both my husband and I at immediate ease. They did an excellent job giving us the freedom to meet our guests and extended family members while also making sure to carve out specific times for our requested photos of just us, family, and friends. Most of all, we loved how fun they were themselves! They had everyone smiling, laughing, and I think they captured just how great of an experience the night was. This review is LONG overdue. My husband and I got married in September of last year and Char was recommended by our wedding planner Courtney. Our experience with Char was more than we could ever hope for. She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was captured perfectly. She was caring, organized and COMPLETELY on top of her gamr. She truly stepped up and even took on responsibilities that weren’t hers in our wedding.
