The first thing we did to prepare for our wedding was to find and book a photographer. I looked around just a bit but knew we really wanted someone that was familiar and comfortable with queer weddings. I stumbled across Charnell and knew right away she was the one we needed! She had an a amazing portfolio and i actually knew a few of the couples she had worked with in the past.

Our initial meeting was great and she so put us at ease with her sweet and fun personality. our communication between booking and the wedding was always prompt and very helpful.

The day of our wedding she arrived early to scout out the property and was so patient with us and the family chaos. Once we got into couple pictures she had us relaxed and enjoying the process. She was so great with all of our family photos and really got everyone in happy, smiley mood. Our ceremony pictures were beautiful and she captured all of the brilliant northern Minnesota colors even better than we dreamed!

10/10 I would work with and recommend Charnell Timms over and over again. She helped us capture beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

Charnell is absolutely fantastic in so many aspects. She is an absolute joy to work with - she has a positive, can-do attitude that is perfect for the wedding day blur. She will make you feel like the most beautiful bride. All of my bridal party and guests loved her. The photos turned out amazing. She perfectly captured the different moments throughout the day - from getting ready, portraits, ceremony, and reception. Finally, the photo book we received at the end was even better than what we imagined. It was so beautiful and creative. We can’t wait to show our friends and family for years to come. I never imagined being so excited to meet our wedding photographer, but Charnell's enthusiasm, absolutely positive energy, and charm was infectious. Working with her was one of the highlights of me and my partner's wedding, and the beautiful photos matched the energy she brought with every shot.

I also appreciated her creative initiative. For example, she had never been to where we were getting married, but she did some research and found a photogenic landmark just 2 blocks from one of our venues. She turned a gap in our schedule into a "civil twilight" sunset photo shoot in front of a beautiful lift bridge, and they turned out to be some of the best photos.

Several friends and family members also commented on how much they liked Charnell and asked about how we found her.

I recommend Charnell with the highest regards, not just for an LGBT wedding, but any event, and sincerely hope we have the opportunity to have her as our photographer again in the future!

Charnell was not only professional, but fun, charming, and delightful to have around. Our event was intentionally low-structure, and we asked Charnell to capture mostly candid moments. With little direction, she worked hard to snap so many moments of joy during our celebration and made everyone feel included and at ease during photos. She had us sparkling (literally and figuratively)! In addition to her photography skills, Charnell is also a wealth of information and a warm presence. You can trust her artistic eye… If she asks you to climb through the woods, say yes! Giggles aside, we are so glad we chose to work with Charnell and highly recommend her.

Charnell was a wonderful photographer to work with for our engagement and wedding photos! We found her during an online search for LGBTQ+ friendly photographers for our wedding. What we found was a talented, friendly, and welcoming photographer. She always made us feel at ease and kept us laughing during all of our photo shoots. We just received our wedding photos and her talent is on full display. She captured everything we wanted to remember about our big day and more! We loved Charnell from the moment we met her! It was our second time with Charnell, So we already knew that the shots will turn out beautiful. However, this time it was this little extra fun that she added to our party. It was for my kid’s 4th Avenger’s theme Bday party. The way she engaged the kids and adults was so amazing. She made such good use of props and literally brought the party to life!! Everybody had so much fun. I think the party wouldn’t have been a hit without her! Pictures turned out beautiful and fun.
