About
Spring break April 1985, my family drove from our home in Northern California in a 1970′s red and white Ford F150 with a red camper shell to Tijuana, Mexico.
As you enter Mexico you see the “Bienvenido a Tijuana” sign. Beneath the neon lights and busy streets you can smell the sweet aroma of Grilled Carne Asada and Adobada. You see one in every corner. White taco carts, silver bowls, and all the taco vendors. This is where I discovered my love of tacos.

Our father dreamt and built his Tortillera, “Familia Madrigal” in Tijuana, Mexico during the 1990′s. We worked hard to craft authentic corn tortillas. Tortillas are the heart of a good taco. Chando’s Tacos uses local quality ingredients to create your “authentic taco” experience.
