About 6 weeks prior to my July wedding date, it was cancelled at the venue and we had to start everything from scratch and move to a backyard venue. I reached out to dozens of caterers. I was recommended cedar creek catering from my sister in law who often used them for events for different organizations she was involved in. Cedar creek was by far the most accommodating and imaginative in accomplishing the wedding of my dreams. CJ, the owner and executive chef, helped us with creating a great flow and achieving the “cocktail hour” style wedding we were looking for while also not breaking the bank. And they pretty much took care of everything. I had very little to be concerned about. Chrysta, the event coordinator, went even more above and beyond. She gave great ideas on how to make the best use of space and helped us construct the site from scratch- while also allowing for social distancing and keeping the event “COVID”. She spent hours upon hours leading up to the wedding creating a magical venue. She was so meticulous in every fine detail.

Food: we did a combination of passed appetizers and stations. The charcuterie station was beautifully presented and they made it Covid friendly with individually portioned cheeses, meats, and dips with reduced contact. The lamb chops and lobster roll appetizers were outstanding. The cheesesteak spring rolls and crab cakes were phenomenal. And the shrimp cucumber bites were delicious and refreshing. We had a prepared short rib and chicken with roasted potatoes and vegetables-and they were all so delicious. Chicken can be pretty basic and simple- CJ managed to make it unreal and tasty and the short rib was mouthwatering. He also created these amazing and creative flatbreads which were just incredible. People kept going back for seconds and thirds - and we couldn’t decide which was our favorite because it was all so incredible.

I wanted a late night meal for everyone so asked CJ to prepare individually wrapped cheesesteaks. BEST decision by far... my husband and I have tons of cheesesteaks snobs and connoisseurs in our family. 4 months later- people still are talking about how that was the best cheesesteak they’ve ever had. I alone ate 5 in one sitting because they were addicting! I still think about calling CJ up to ask him to make some more. Outstanding!!!!

Service: They took care of the chefs, servers and attendants. We wanted specific bartenders who we hired separately. But Chrysta did an amazing job coordinating and managing them- as well as managed the remaining vendors (photo/video/flowers/bakery/rentals). I didn’t have to worry about a thing. There were hiccups with some vendors- and she made it so seamless that I didn’t even know any of it happened. The servers were professional (masked) and made sure that every guest was attended to. They did a great job of working all areas and keeping everything so clean. I appreciate them so much and they were all incredibly courteous. Chrysta I can’t say enough about! She made sure that my cake was cut on time, had my toasting flutes ready and on stand by for us, and was so detail oriented. All with a huge smile on her face! CJ checked on us to make sure we ate and prepared my groom and me an incredible table to take a moment to ourselves and to enjoy a beautifully plated meal.

Also - for my surprise bridal shower, CJ prepared a delicious brunch including bagels, frittatas, chicken piccata (I still dream about it). It was phenomenal.

I still to this day am receiving tons of compliments regarding the food and service at my shower and wedding. And it’s all because of CJ, Chrysta, and the amazing group at Cedar Creek!

CJ and Chrysta and all of the amazing staff- thank you SO much for all of the time you spent on my wedding. Thank you for being so kind to us, answering my millions of calls and texts, and for taking so much off my plate and creating such an amazing event. You are amazing for events large and small!

Cj and his team did not disappoint on my wedding day. People are still raving about the food! He was very accommodating to my demanding requests and was very energetic and professional the whole time. Everything was perfect and will use him again for future events

I am so glad my husband and I chose Cedar Creek Catering for our wedding! After tons of research, I felt confident Cedar Creek would be the right choice after just one phone call with the owner, CJ. I loved how we were able to do the tasting BEFORE we ever hired him. It allowed us to make a more informed decision on what is arguably the most important aspect of any wedding. CJ works closely with several rental companies, so we decided to streamline the process and book the majority of our rentals through him as well. That saved us so much time and a major headache! He was there to answer any of our questions along the way. On our wedding day, CJ and his entire staff were extremely professional and courteous. I got so many compliments on the food, particularly the braised beef short rib, which is something CJ recommended himself. Cedar Creek Catering is a wonderful catering company that provides great food and service. They work with you to make sure your event is exactly what you dreamed it could be. I would definitely recommend Cedar Creek Catering to anyone looking for catering services for any event, especially a wedding!
