Castello del Trebbio

Getting married at Trebbio was one of the best decisions we made. Not only financially, but for the experience itself. What could have been a stressful, complicated process became an effortless and truly magical experience, thanks in large part to Alberto and the incredible team at Trebbio.

Alberto was the person who made everything come together. He was the true conductor behind the scenes, coordinating with our vendors, guiding us through every decision, anticipating potential issues, and resolving every question or concern with incredible efficiency and professionalism. He was always responsive, thoughtful, and proactive, and his ability to execute made such a difference. He not only helped us plan our wedding, but helped us avoid the last-minute stress that can come with planning such a large event. Because of him, everything seemed to flow naturally and effortlessly.

And then there is Trebbio itself. The venue was truly a dream come true. Over the course of our three-day celebration, we were able to experience so many different parts of the property, with beautiful spaces for each event. It gave our guests the feeling of discovering something new throughout the weekend, while still creating a sense of intimacy and togetherness.

The entire Trebbio team was an absolute pleasure to work with. From Guliana and Mauricio at the restaurant to every member of the staff, everyone was warm, kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. They somehow managed to accomplish what felt like a thousand things behind the scenes without ever making us feel rushed or overwhelmed. It was almost magical—like little fairies quietly taking care of everything around us. Everything was peaceful, calm, and graceful, and we never felt the stress of what was happening behind the scenes.

Our guests especially loved the wine cellar tour, which was such a unique experience and one of the highlights of the weekend. We also hosted a pool day and added gelato from Marco at Il Fiorino, who was wonderful to work with. The gelato was the perfect complement to a relaxed afternoon by the pool and so delicious our favorite was nocciola and pistachio, the waffle cones were also fresh and yummy.

For our flowers, we worked with Chiara, another one of Alberto's recommended vendors. She was incredibly kind and creative and worked within our budget to give us exactly what we envisioned. It was another example of how Alberto's network of trusted vendors made the entire planning process so much easier.
Our ceremony officiant, Sophia, was also incredible. She beautifully blended Spanish, English, and touches of French into our ceremony, creating a deeply personal dedication of love. Even though our guests did not all speak the same languages, everyone felt included and connected. It was one of the most meaningful moments of the entire weekend.

And, of course, the food was exceptional. Every meal—from the rehearsal dinner and breakfasts to the aperitivo, wedding dinner, and farewell brunch—was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. There was never a meal where we weren't impressed. The food was one of the many things that made the weekend feel so special and authentically Italian. And it may sound bias but our wedding has the best food I've ever had at a wedding. 

Our DJ, Gian Marco, was also fantastic. He read the room perfectly and somehow brought together our Mexican, American, French, and Italian cultures into one incredible night of music and celebration. Everyone was on the dance floor, and our guests had an absolute blast.

Our photography and videography teams were wonderful as well. We are still waiting for the full video footage from Rebecca, but Federico and Barbie sent us a preview of our photos just 24 hours after the wedding, and they were absolutely incredible. Having those first images so quickly allowed us to relive the magic of the weekend almost immediately and we can't wait to get the rest of them.

Lastly, we can't forget the wine and olive oil. The red wine and olive oil from Trebbio were among the best we have ever had, and they became another special part of the experience for us and our guests.

Ultimately, our wedding at Trebbio felt like so much more than a wedding. It was three days of bringing our families and closest friends together in one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. It was a celebration, a vacation, an experience, and a memory that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
We left Trebbio feeling incredibly grateful, and still can't believe everything was PERFECT. Not only because we had such a beautiful place to get married in, but because we found a team of people who cared so much about making our experience special.

It was truly the wedding of our dreams, and we cannot imagine having celebrated it anywhere else.

P.S the last thing I will say is we highly appreciated how transparent Trebbio was with pricings. Planning a wedding is costly but with Alberto we never had any hidden costs, everything was fair and clear and in an industry that tends to often take advantage, at Trebbio we were taken care of and we never felt like we were scamed and that was huge! We have many friends that had nightmare stories because they didn't have someone like Alberto who truly cared. So thank you Alberto.

There are simply not enough words to describe how amazing our entire wedding weekend was at Castello del Trebbio. We got married on October 10th and I could not wait to post this review to rave about how perfect everything was. The whole staff is simply exceptional and made us and our guests feel like VIPs all weekend.

Alberto was outstanding and our guests could not stop talking about how funny, nice, and cool he was. He was also able to accommodate so many last minute transportation changes for our guests— I don’t know what we would have done without him. Alberto does so many of these weddings every year, but you can tell he cares about each couple he works with and he made my husband and I feel so special all weekend long.

Many of our guests made it a point to tell us how smooth everything went all weekend and that is a true testament to how amazing Alberto and the whole Castello del Trebbio team are!

Mauricio and Giuliana were also fantastic and we felt at ease knowing that our wedding was in the hands of outstanding people! Julianna was a hit at our party and our guests loved dancing with her.

Castello del Trebbio truly is a dream wedding venue. From its stunning setting in the Tuscan hills, to the amazing castle and the team working there, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our wedding. Castello provided the perfect backdrop for our special day and our guests were so impressed by the whole weekend.

Firstly, we cannot thank Alberto enough for all of his support throughout the planning process, the venue visit in November and over the whole wedding weekend. We were slightly daunted by the thought of planning a wedding abroad, but with Alberto’s help and guidance, it couldn’t have easier! His expertise, patience and calming presence made the planning process and wedding weekend stress free (or as close as it can be for a very Type A bride!).

All our guests had a wonderful experience and couldn’t stop complimenting how beautiful everything was - from the onsite accommodations, to the food and the stunning location. The Friday evening welcome dinner was a fantastic way to kick off the celebrations and the Sunday brunch was a perfect way to round off an unforgettable weekend.

Everything on the wedding day ran seamlessly thanks to Alberto, Julianna and the whole team. Every small detail was taken care of which allowed us to relax, be present and truly enjoy every moment of our special day.

There are truly no words that can fully describe how magical our wedding weekend at Castello del Trebbio was. My husband and I had a 68-person wedding, with approximately 48 of our closest family members staying across the beautiful villas on the property and the rest of our friends staying nearby in Florence. We spent three unforgettable nights on the property, surrounded by the people we love most, and it was genuinely the most magical and amazing time of our lives.

From the very beginning of the planning process, Castello del Trebbio made us feel completely taken care of. For a year and a half, Alberto answered every single one of my emails and helped me through every question, detail, and decision. I truly cannot thank him enough. I knew that whenever I sent an email, I would receive a response in less than 24 hours, every single time. Having that kind of communication and support while planning a destination wedding was invaluable and gave me so much peace of mind.

Thursday: Arriving at Castello del Trebbio & Welcome Dinner

The moment we arrived at the property, it felt like we had stepped into a fairytale. Having our family arrive throughout the afternoon and settle into the villas was so special. The villas were absolutely beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and had everything we could have hoped for. The air conditioning was wonderful, the rooms were gorgeous, and the pools were clean and perfect.

That evening, we had our welcome party, and it was the perfect way to begin the weekend. Alberto gave our group a tour of the castle and wineries, and a wine tasting, and he was just as sweet, funny, and welcoming in person as he had been throughout our year and a half of emails. He made everyone feel at home immediately!

We also had a gelato cart at the welcome dinner, which was an absolute hit! Everyone loved it, and it was such a fun and memorable addition to the evening.

And then there was the food.

I genuinely don't even know where to begin. Almost every single person at our wedding came up to my husband and me during the weekend to tell us that they had traveled throughout different parts of Italy and eaten at some incredible restaurants, but the food at Castello del Trebbio was, hands down, the best they had eaten. That was something we heard over and over again throughout the weekend.

The wine was incredible, the olive oil was unbelievable, and we loved everything so much that we ended up collectively ordering a significant amount of wine and olive oil from the property to bring home.

Friday: Our Wedding Day

Then came the day we had dreamed about.

I woke up completely relaxed, which is something I never expected to say on my wedding day. I knew that everything was being taken care of, and that allowed me to truly be present and enjoy every moment with my family and my future husband.

The vendors included in Castello del Trebbio's wedding package are worth every single penny. Every vendor that was included/recommended by Alberto, knew the property incredibly well, understood how everything worked, and was so organized and on top of every detail. It made such a huge difference to have a team that already knew the venue and worked together so seamlessly.

Our wedding day itself was absolutely breathtaking. Getting married surrounded by our family and closest friends, in the Tuscan countryside, at such a historic and beautiful property, felt almost surreal. It was everything we had dreamed of and more.

And, of course, the food at our wedding dinner was once again incredible. The entire meal was one of the highlights of the weekend, and our guests could not stop talking about it.

Saturday: Tuscan Adventures & Our Farewell BBQ

The next morning, we wanted everyone to experience the beauty of Tuscany together, so we organized an e-bike excursion through the Tuscan countryside. About 20 of us spent the morning riding through the countryside, and it was such a fun experience to share with our family and friends.

At the same time, another group of about 10 people participated in a cooking class. It was such a wonderful way to give everyone different experiences while still enjoying the property together.

That evening, we had our farewell BBQ, and it was incredibly intimate and beautiful. After everything that had happened over the weekend, being able to sit together, eat, laugh, drink wine, and simply enjoy one another was the perfect ending.

There was something so special about having three entire days where our family and friends weren't rushing from one event to another. We were simply together. We explored, ate, drank wine, laughed, swam, rode bikes, learned to cook, celebrated, and made memories that we will have for the rest of our lives.

The Property

Every single part of Castello del Trebbio was stunning. The villas were beautiful and spotless, the rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully maintained, the pools were perfect, and the entire property was incredibly well cared for.

But what made it truly special wasn't just the beauty of the property. It was the feeling.

We felt at home.

I never felt stressed or worried about whether something was being handled. I could completely relax and enjoy my wedding weekend because I knew that Alberto and the entire Castello del Trebbio team had everything under control.

That is an incredibly difficult thing to accomplish with a destination wedding, especially with 68 guests, multiple villas, numerous activities, transportation, a welcome dinner, a wedding, and a farewell BBQ, but they did it flawlessly.

Our Final Thoughts

Nothing could have topped those three nights at Castello del Trebbio with everyone we love.

Our wedding wasn't just one day. It was an entire weekend, three days of having our favorite people all together in one of the most beautiful places in the world. That is something we will cherish forever.

My husband and I are already talking about going back for an anniversary trip because we simply don't want our time at Castello del Trebbio to be over.

To Alberto and the entire Castello del Trebbio team: thank you. Thank you for answering every email, every question, and every little detail for a year and a half. Thank you for making us feel at home. Thank you for making our family feel so welcome. Thank you for the incredible food, wine, olive oil, hospitality, and care. And most of all, thank you for giving us the most magical three days of our lives.

Our wedding weekend truly felt like something out of a fairytale, and we will forever be grateful that we got to experience it at Castello del Trebbio.

Castello del Trebbio was everything we could've wanted from a destination wedding venue and more! From our very first call with Albi, we felt so at ease with the planning process because they truly take care of everything - ceremony, music, food, beverage, accommodations, welcome and farewell events, hair, makeup, and photography. And for vendors that were not included, like videography, florals, and transportation, they had preferred vendors who were so easy to work with and knew the venue very well.

They were gracious enough to let us come for a planning visit where we got to stay in the villas and taste the food. First of all, the pictures don't do the place justice. The landscape and buildings were gorgeous and the villas were well maintained for their age. While we were a little nervous swapping out some dinner menu items for things we didn't select to try, they were absolutely delicious on the day of the wedding. Truly one of the best meals I had in Italy. My husband's favorite was the potato flan and mine was the sedanini pasta with sundried tomatoes. I'm still dreaming about that meal!

I have to give a special, dedicated shoutout to Albi (Alberto). His passion for his job is very evident and talking to him always felt like a warm hug. It can be nerve-wracking trying to plan a wedding in different time zones, but Albi was always very responsive no matter the time. Things popped up during the wedding weekend - as they do - like the A/C going out in one of the houses and a miscommunication with our baggage pickup; however, Albi was on it and did his best to make things right. Even after the wedding when I had trouble getting a hold of one of the vendors, one message to Albi and he got them to respond immediately.

Overall, it was one of the best weekends of our lives, from the time we arrived to the minute we left. We wish we could relive it every day. If you're looking for a beautiful, intimate venue and a seamless planning process, we could not recommend them more. Thank you to Albi and the entire team at Castello Del Trebbio!

Castello del Trebbio was an absolutely amazing place to get married. Albi - who you will come to know very well if you pick this spectacular venue - is fantastic. Our guests absolutely adored him, his stories, and the history and knowledge he shared. As a "coordinator," Albi is so helpful and responsive. We asked him so many stupid questions, and he responded quickly, kindly, and with enthusiasm. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is great at his job and an utter joy to be around!

As for the venue itself - pictures do not do justice in describing how beautiful the venue is. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and the dream-like backdrop of the Tuscan hills was the primary reason for those compliments.

The food was exquisite. We booked the venue without having tried the food, and were delighted by how good it was. Every meal was a treat, and captured that traditional Italian style of simplicity, made with the highest quality ingredients, to produce culinary works of art. One of our guests has been to about 75% of the world's 3 Michelin star restaurants, and the food got his emphatic stamp of approval. Even the cafe is great and has a fennel salad that's clean, crisp, and delicious.

The accomodations are so much fun. Our guests really got to know each other, and there were plenty of times we came together as a big group and partied down. We purchased a karaoke machine and had it shipped to Italy and left it at the venue, so please enjoy with our compliments! It's in the room with the ping pong table!

And finally, the cost. Frankly, it's a steal. Friends of ours who are planning to get married have asked what it cost, expecting an Italian wedding in a castle for three nights to have an astronomical price tag. In fact, for all we got - venue, accomodations for 51 guests, food for multiple days, DJ, coordination, etc. - it was STILL significantly less expensive than if we booked a one-night hotel wedding where we're from (albeit, we are from Hawaii, so it's certainly more expensive than average).

We loved this place, and I could not think of a better place to have started our marriage than Castello del Trebbio.

We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Castello del Trebbio. We traveled from Texas to have our destination wedding, and choosing Castello del Trebbio was one of the best decisions we made. Alberto made the process of planning a wedding from afar so easy and his response time was always so quick. Also, they have trusted vendors to choose from that made me feel so much more comfortable.

The property is absolutely breathtaking. Pictures online truly do not do it justice! From the vineyards and rolling hills to the castle itself, every part of the venue feels romantic and special. Around the castle, they provide onsite villas that can hold up to 50 guests. This made our wedding weekend feel incredibly intimate and was so memorable for us and our guests. Keep in mind that Faltignano Villa has a slight hill to climb, so I'd recommend keeping your younger guests there. All villas are beautifully updated and include air conditioning!

Our welcome party/dinner included a tour of the castle and cellars. It was exceptional and our guests raved about the food and wine. We had our special ceremony outdoors in the garden followed by an aperitivo with a beautiful charcuterie set up and a stunning long-table dinner next to the most beautiful background.

One of our favorite things about Castello del Trebbio was that it gave us so much more than just a wedding venue. It gave us an entire weekend experience with our guests. We were also able to recommend many activities to our guests like a relaxing day by the pool, hiking, horseback riding, Florence day trip, or an onsite pasta cooking class. Also, to help with expenses, we had our guests pay a reduced rate for their three night stay that worked great!

Planning a wedding in another country can be intimidating, but Alberto helped make our vision come to life. He even offered a free stay before, so we could come view the castle/villas and have a wedding tasting in person. We are so thankful for him and all of the work that went on behind the scenes to make our wedding weekend so special.

I truly cannot recommend Castello del Trebbio enough. I had my wedding there, and it was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. The setting is absolutely incredible — our guests were blown away by the property, the views, the food, and the entire experience.

A huge part of what made the wedding so special was Alberto. He was amazing from beginning to end and helped us with virtually every step of planning. I have a very full-time job and absolutely no wedding-planning expertise, so planning a destination wedding in Italy could have been incredibly overwhelming. Alberto made the entire process manageable. He was always helpful, thoughtful, responsive, and willing to share his perspective and recommendations, which ended up being invaluable.

He gave us and our guests the most wonderful tour of the castle and cellars on our first evening, followed by a wine tasting and dinner. He is also genuinely hilarious and has such a great personality that he became one of the highlights of the wedding for our guests. By the end of the weekend, I was wishing I could hire Alberto to plan every major event in my life and give every tour I take.

The wedding itself was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and everything came together wonderfully. Most importantly, our guests had an amazing time and are still talking about how special the venue was.

We are so grateful to Alberto and everyone at Castello del Trebbio for helping us create such an unforgettable wedding. It truly exceeded our expectations, and if you are considering getting married here, I genuinely cannot recommend it enough.

We could not have asked for a better experience at Castello del Trebbio.
