We got married at this venue in July 2025 and truly could not have asked for a better experience. About 50 of our guests stayed onsite with us, and the accommodations were absolutely lovely. The property itself is beautiful, and being located less than an hour from Florence made it easy for our guests all of whom were traveling internationally. The venue also helped us arrange airport transfers through a shuttle provider, which made arrival and logistics much smoother for everyone.
The weather was warm, as you’d expect for July in Tuscany, but it ended up being not too hot. Even if it had been warmer, all the accommodations were well air conditioned, and our guests loved spending free time relaxing by the gorgeous pools on the property and taking in the scenery.
A huge part of what made the experience so seamless was our coordinator, Alberto. He is clearly extremely experienced and professional, and his guidance throughout the process was invaluable. He helped us organize room assignments for our guests, coordinated the rehearsal with our wedding party, and handled countless details behind the scenes to make sure everything ran perfectly. Alberto was with us nearly every step of the way during the planning and wedding events, and when it came time for the reception, he smoothly handed things over to the restaurant team.
The restaurant staff was outstanding. They paid attention to every detail during the meal and made our guests feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of. The food was truly unforgettable, our guests are still talking about it! From the exceptional cocktail hour snacks to the incredible Millefoglie wedding cake, everything was delicious. Several guests even told us it was the best wedding cake they had ever had.
The entire weekend was beautifully organized. One of our favorite moments (surprisingly to us) was the welcome reception, which included a wine tasting and cellar tour, a relaxed and fun way for everyone to meet, mingle, and kick off the wedding celebrations together.
We are so grateful to Alberto and the entire team for creating such a memorable experience for us and our guests. It was truly a dream wedding weekend, and we would highly recommend this venue to anyone considering it.Castello del Trebbio's reply:

We got married here - sight unseen - from Australia. Alberto was so helpful, it was an easy decision to make to have our big wedding day here. He has incredible communication that made us feel comfortable and safe in our decision.
The venue is full of old history charm. If you want old world feel, this place packs a punch. The sunset reception was well put together with a stunning view.

We are getting married at Castello del Trebbio in Sept 2026 and couldn’t be more excited. Alberto, the hospitality coordinator, is absolutely incredible - he is funny, kind, detail oriented and so accommodating. We had the pleasure of meeting him in person along with his team this month as they offer a complimentary two nights for the bride and groom to stay on the property and meet vendors before the wedding. Alberto does SO MUCH to ensure your wedding will go smoothly and exactly as you want it to. You can tell he really wants the best for you and has helped us through every step of the process. We had a full menu tasting and met Giuliana and Maurizio who run the restaurant. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work because not only is the food absolutely incredible and locally sourced, but they are so helpful and knowledgable in their areas. We know we’re in the best hands with this team and can’t wait to see it all come together. Every area on this property is beautiful in its romantic Tuscany way. The indoor options should it rain for the ceremony or any of the events are breathtaking. Don’t worry about booking this venue before seeing it. Just do it. Our experience with Castello del Trebbio for our destination wedding was nothing short of exceptional. Alberto the manager was an absolute pleasure to work with, and he made the daunting task of planning an international wedding for 40 guests with all the bells and whistles achievable and as pain-free as possible. He helped us every step of the way, down to the tiniest of details. His work ethic is impeccable, because he truly loves what he does. We have the upmost respect for him.
All of the preferred vendors are also wonderful, professional people that helped make our day special. The castle, apartments, and vineyard grounds are gorgeous from every angle. This place feels like a dream. The restaurant, food and wine were perfection, and they were amazing with accommodating a number of different allergies for my guests. The restaurant manager Giuliana was so warm and welcoming, and took care of our guests so well!
Despite the year of planning and the months after our wedding day, we are still in disbelief of how perfect everything was. It was truly magical. The memories made there by us, our friends and family will likely be talked about for the rest our our lives. We look forward to the day we can revisit, walk the grounds, and have an anniversary dinner at the restaurant. -

We recently got married at Castello del Trebbio and cannot recommend the venue highly enough… it truly was the weekend of our dreams!! Everyone told us it was the best wedding they have ever attended! Alberto, the site and events manager, and his staff were so incredibly thoughtful and helpful throughout the planning process and the weekend itself, including the onsite visit we did in November of the previous year allowing us to taste the wedding menu, meet the staff and our other vendors, and stay on property for 2 days. Alberto has a ton of experience with weddings and intimately knows the ins and outs of Trebbio, making the process as easy as it can be, while also making our guests feel so comfortable on property – just trust him!
Alberto recommended plenty of vendors to make life easy for us in planning – we used his recommended florist (Chiara – Iaia Florals), DJ (and added a saxophone!! – Media Dressing), live music for ceremony and aperitivo (Lux), gelato cart for the day after by the pool (Il Fiorino) and our day-of coordinator (Elena - Italian Wedding Designer). We ended up finding our own photo/video (Anteros Studios), photobooth (Overthebox) and HMU (Giulia Cresci).
The restaurant staff at Trebbio/Sosta del Gusto is world class. They are wonderful people and our guests could stop telling us how great the dinners were all weekend! Seriously, BEST wedding food we’ve ever eaten.
We had a total of 73 guests, with 49 staying on property at Trebbio and the other 24 staying offsite at Fattoria Lavacchio (which we also recommend as a great place for your extra guests!!). We encourage using Alberto’s recommended transportation company as they are intimately familiar with the Trebbio property and have a good relationship with other accommodations nearby.
Something we didn’t realize up front was that there are a lot of add-on options so always feel free to ask as Alberto is very accommodating! We added a pre-ceremony bubbly drink, upgraded cocktail hour to include Aperol spritz and negroni sbagliatos, and offered beers at the wedding and BBQ dinner.
A few more additional tips: We would highly recommend having at least one rental car there to do grocery runs in case you need to refill on food for during the days or beers/spirits (there is always wine available for purchase on property, of course!). A few of the villas require walking up a mildly steep road or dirt path and could be tough for strollers, wheelchairs, and elderly to navigate. Also, in the summer bring bug spray for guests :)
Many of our guests opted in for the pasta making class and everyone had an incredible time with Chef Jerry! We also got olive oil bottles from Trebbio as part of our welcome basket and those were a huge hit.
Overall we could not be happier with our decision. The 3 days we spent there were genuinely the best of our lives!!! We talk about it every day. Castello del Trebbio was the PERFECT setting and we’re already planning a trip back!!

When I say ourselves and our guests were left speechless after this wonderful three day weekend I mean it. Working with Alberto & Giuliana to bring our dream wedding to life was such a pleasure. Trebbio speaks for itself in the venue and villas for our guests but truly what makes it so special is Alberto and team. His responsiveness and proactive nature is really want made us choose Trebbio and feel confident in our decision having not seen the venue before signing the agreement. Top notch quality across the board leaving our guests all raving about the entire event. The tour of the castle and wine tasting was truly unique and got everyone so excited for the weekend. Everyone loved their accommodations and the entire flow of the weekend went so smoothly. Giuliana and the restaurant staff are extremely accommodating and thoughtful. We have so many people calling us saying our wedding can’t be topped solely based off of the beautiful venue, quality of food and drink and the warm and helpful staff. 100 out of 10! Words cant express how thankful we are to Alberto and the Castello Del Trebbio team for helping us accomplish the most important event in our lives! I am a typical type A bride who wanted to do everything myself but could honestly not pulled this off without Alberto's experience, calm demeanor, and absolute patience. He made sure all my guests got from point A to point B even though it was like herding cats. Juliana and the amazing restaurant team accommodated every request and dietary restriction with a smile, and when it came time to walk down the aisle I was calm because I knew Alberto had it all covered, even though we threw some curve balls his way. He was informative, charming and an overall rock throughout the best week of our lives. I can not recommend this venue enough! the wine, the food and the service not to mention the views at every turn really made our week one we will never forget. We are so excited to come visit on anniversaries and try to relive this exceptional experience that was Castello Del Trebbio. We just wrapped up an amazing weekend at Castello del Trebbio, and could not recommend it more. It was beyond what we could have imagined, and we constantly were getting compliments on how seamless everything seemed (all thanks to Alberto) and what an amazing time they had. Working with Alberto through the whole process from the first call to seeing the last vans leave the property was a treat. He was incredibly responsive and helped us navigate the entire weekend. We used vendors that he recommended and loved them all. He helped coordinate the vendors and arranged any of the complicated logistics for us, making it a breeze to plan the wedding from the US. The weekend itself (not to mention the months leading up to the wedding) was stress free, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our time with our guests. I just had the incredible pleasure of getting married at Castello del Trebbio at the end of August. If you are looking for the most magical and beautiful experience of your life, you have found your venue and your team and you can stop your hunt. My husband wrote his own review, but it was so important to us to share both of our positive experiences. This will be a long review, so buckle up.
After a Google search to begin our hunt for a venue back on New Years Day of 2024, Castello del Trebbio popped up. From that day forward, over the past year and a half, the team at Castello del Trebbio helped us craft the most amazing experience for myself, my husband, our families and our guests. As Americans, planning a destination wedding in a country where we are not fluent in the language felt daunting. But from the first email we received to the first video call we had with Alberto, we knew that we were in safe hands. The information provided to us made it very clear that we would be able to achieve our wedding vision for ourselves and our guests well within our budget. This three-day, multi-event experience was the same cost as a single night event at some of the venues we were looking at in the Northeast of the United States. With this, wedding planning became so easy for us, which is not the usual experience people have. But we attribute so much of our success to the team we worked with.
Alberto is a wizard. He was a genuine, funny, resourceful, calm presence to my husband and I from the beginning. Any question we had, Alberto had the answer. Any vision we had, Alberto knew how to bring it to life. Any logistics issues, Alberto knew how to solve for it. He helped us organize transportation for all of our guests to and from the property, arranged for grocery services and sandwich delivery to make sure everyone was fed outside of the core events of the weekend, and he even ran back to the house the groomsmen got ready in mere moments before the ceremony to get the boutonnieres that had been left behind in the fridge (twice!).
The opportunity to visit the venue and experience the property, the food, the wine, and the team in person was a no brainer for us. It helped cement for us that yes, we had made the most incredible decision to get married at this location. He is so detailed that any question we had going into planning, he already answered. His experience allows him to predict what guests may need around any corner. It feels like such an honor to now be a part of his portfolio of happy couples that he takes such pride in.
As a part of the contract, Castello del Trebbio introduces you to a selection of options for vendors for everything: photography, florals, hair, makeup, music. All we had to do was select who we wanted for each. When I tell you that every single vendor was incredible, I mean it so truly. They were un-be-lieve-a-ble. I woke up on our wedding day so calm and carefree because of the confidence this team gave me that everything would be perfect.
Frederico and Barbara, our majestic photography duo, made us feel so comfortable in front of a camera, and made us feel so beautiful in this experience. They kept us laughing, but also gave us the gift of moments of solitude where my husband and I could be together, just the two of us, multiple times throughout the welcome event the night prior and the wedding day itself.
Chiara, our florist extraordinaire, took my vision and my moodboard and made it even better. She was such a partner to me from the very first email we exchanged, going back and forth on what could work in the gorgeous courtyard ceremony space to the table decoration for our dinner. When I met her on the morning of the wedding, again, I just knew that I was in good hands and that the moment I saw her floral design, it would be a dream come true.
Sara Romagnoli, my makeup artist, has such a beautiful spirit. She helped me feel so confident from our initial trial that we scheduled during our venue visit, that going into the wedding day, I was so calm. She has the lightest touch and her makeup lasts all day, all night, through dancing, tears, and laughter. Romina Gurrera helped tame my wild mane of hair and created the most gorgeous pearl hair accessories to adorn the updo (all made by hand)! She is so talented in her craft of hair, but also in the hair accessories that she makes. My beauty team made me feel so stunning, but also helped my bridesmaids shine as well. They are all beautiful, and Sara and Romina just enhanced their beauty in the most natural ways.
Our music team was magnificent! We had a cellist and violinist duo playing during our ceremony and our cocktail hour. They shared their repertoire of music with us, and we made our selections, but I was curious if they could play a specific song. After asking, no time passed before they let me know that they would learn the song so that I could live out my dream of walking down the aisle to Roberta Flack’s “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.” And it was a gorgeous rendition.
Our DJ was a legend! He was so in sync with my husband and I, the restaurant team, and the photographers throughout the reception. He helped craft an elegant experience through sound and brought our musical dreams to life as well. Him being in sync with the restaurant team meant that our speeches were perfectly timed to the food arriving and to drinks being served. And when the party got started, he kept the energy up for hours, from mine and my husband’s first dance, all the way through to our last.
And last but not least, is the team at Sosta del Gusto, the restaurant on site. Maurizio, the restaurant manager, is such a kind soul. Giuliana is a legend with the best energy. Sabrina was a delight. And the rest of their staff was a blessing. I looked forward to seeing them so much each day, and am so appreciative of the service that they provided. It was truly best in class. From the moment we met them during our trial, we were taken care of. In fact, Guiliana even helped entertain our niece so that my sister and her husband could enjoy their trial meal as well. The food during the weekend was impeccable – even better than I could have expected, from start to finish. The ingredients were fresh and the presentation was elegant.
I cannot compliment this team enough for their attention to detail and for truly helping make this weekend the most special experience for everyone. Again, if you are even reading reviews for this venue, you’ve found it. I will never forget the experience we had, but maybe more special to me are the people who helped bring it to life. I will never forget them and hope that I can see them all again one day. With immense gratitude, thank you for everything.

Where do I begin?
Everything about our wedding and the surrounding events was absolutely magical. Every single detail surpassed our expectations. From the welcome dinner and tour, to the breakfasts, brunches, dinners, and finally our wedding, everything was more than we could have ever imagined.
The staff were welcoming, kind, and genuinely passionate. We have never met such wonderful people in our lives. We truly wish we could relive our special day over and over again. The wine, food, hospitality, and scenery were unforgettable, and every guest had nothing but compliments—many even wished they could have stayed longer.
Each villa felt like home, and every staff member felt like family. The history of this venue added so much beauty and meaning to our experience, and we are so grateful to the family for accommodating us in every way. Each home was immaculate, stunning, and constantly praised by our guests.
We also need to take a moment to thank Alberto. He was accommodating in every way, always attentive to every detail, and truly passionate about his work. Our guests adored him, and we will truly miss him!
Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. The attention to detail was incredible, and we never once felt stressed or worried. As bride and groom, we felt completely at ease, surrounded by love all day long. We know our guests felt it too.
We can confidently say that every couple who chooses to marry here will be overjoyed with their experience. While we are sad that it’s over, we are forever grateful for the magic of this place.

If you have found this venue through Google or whatever way you searched, your wedding venue search is done. My wife and I could not dream of a better wedding. Alberto is a super star and will make everything you want to come to life. He is so kind and truly made the entire process so smooth that my wife and I did not have the classic planning with stress. We honestly miss planning with him! Then you will meet the restaurant crew: Mauricio, Juliana, and Sabrina. Not only will they make you incredible food but they will make sure your guests have the best time. They are the warmest people with the most gracious hosting style and will deliver a magical three days to your entire guest list.
Now back to Alberto, from the moment you start planning with him you will feel at ease. Every question you could possibly have will be answered swiftly and trust me he is right. His glowing personality and generosity make the whole experience smooth. He also is amazing at sourcing other solutions you might need. He set up all our transportation and made sure we had some lunch catering for those staying on property.
Now for the venue itself, how can you be anything less than in love when you gaze out on the mountains of Tuscany and rows upon rows of vineyard, knowing that's the wine you will drink all weekend. Each villa is beautiful and offers its own story and experience. Not to mention you are going to be getting married in a literal castel. There is no review that could put accurately into words the beauty of this venue and the beauty of the hospitality the team brings to it.
Unfortunately, I do not have photos to add to this review but that is because I had so much fun and love in the moment with my wife and all our loved ones around us that I turned my phone off for days and just existed with them as we threw the best party we could have ever dreamed of. Truly, if you want a venue that will exceed your expectations, far exceed the cost for value, and the hardest goodbyes at the end will be the Castello team, then you have found your venue.Castello del Trebbio's reply:

Drømmebryllup i hjertet av Toscana
Vi hadde et drømmebryllup på Castello del Trebbio takket være Alberto og resten av teamet. Stedet er helt nydelig – omgitt av vingårder, olivenlunder og en fantastisk utsikt som tok pusten fra oss og gjestene våre. Hele prosessen, fra planlegging til selve dagen, var profesjonelt og fantastisk håndtert. Alberto var alltid tilgjengelig for spørsmål, ga gode råd og sørget for at alt gikk sømløst.
Takket være Castello del Trebbio fikk vi ikke bare et vakkert bryllup, men også en opplevelse vi og våre gjester kommer til å huske for alltid. As a U.S.-based bride dreaming of a destination wedding in Florence, I stumbled upon Castello del Trebbio through a random Google search and Wedding Wire. Like many, I was initially skeptical of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but every site for years echoed the same sentiment: Castello del Trebbio is the perfect wedding venue, and Alberto is the magician who makes it all happen.
Based solely on these glowing reviews and one phone call with Alberto, we took a leap of faith and booked our wedding without ever seeing the venue in person. It was, without a doubt, the best decision we ever made. Working with Alberto and his recommended vendors was an absolute dream. My initial emails to Alberto quickly escalated to daily exchanges. He was always prompt, responsive, kind, knowledgeable, and caring. His emails truly became the highlight of my wedding planning process, and I'll miss our frequent correspondence.
In March, just 90 days before our wedding, my fiancé and I visited the castle and met Alberto. To say it took our breath away is an understatement. The rolling hills and breathtaking landscape were even more stunning than the photos conveyed. The property's buildings are immaculately maintained, beautifully modernized while retaining their original charm. We were particularly impressed to see three kitchens undergoing modern renovations during our visit.
Meeting Alberto in person was like reuniting with a best friend. He is warm, inviting, funny, and incredibly smart, which only strengthened our working relationship. He gave us an extensive tour, proactively answered all our questions, and completely put us at ease. Dinner at the on-site restaurant, Sosta del Gusto, was a highlight. The food and the team (especially Juliana!) were amazing. We savored every bite of the 10 courses we sampled and are already planning a return trip. We left with happy tears, eagerly anticipating our wedding day.
Our return in June was everything we'd imagined, despite it being the hottest day on record in Tuscany. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the property, amenities, food, tours, and the exceptional team. Many even asked Alberto for fashion tips and wished to be his friend forever! Our weekend began with a castle tour and dinner cooked in the family kitchen. The wedding day itself was seamless. Even when our photographer canceled 24 hours before the ceremony, the team handled it with incredible calm and grace. They cleverly adjusted the dinner time to give us more shade and continuously offered suggestions to keep the night flowing smoothly in the heat.
The next day, many guests enjoyed a pasta-making class with Chef Gerry, raving about how much fun they had. We concluded the weekend with a delicious pizza and lasagna dinner, complemented by a gelato truck – the perfect end to a perfect celebration.
I could go on and on about the incredible team at Castello del Trebbio and my admiration for Alberto. Please, believe the reviews. This place is as magical, wonderful, and inviting as everyone says it is. I wish you all a wedding as happy as ours!Castello del Trebbio's reply:

Our experience at Castello Del Trebbio was unforgettable. We had around 60 of our closest friends and family from the United States come and stay for 3 nights. The first night we had an amazing welcome tour of the castle and winery with a delicious buffet dinner, then we had a pizza and gelato party the next night, then our wedding on the last night! Alberto accommodated every request we had in a timely manner which is honestly one of the main reasons we decided to have our wedding here - he gave you peace of mind trying to plan a wedding when halfway across the world. Once you arrive he makes sure everything is in order and the kitchen staff was also great - Juliana was a great bartender at our after party! From the moment we arrived at Castello Del Trebbio, we knew we had chosen something truly special. The rolling hills, centuries-old architecture, and sun-drenched olive groves and vineyards set the perfect backdrop for what can only be described as our dream wedding. We booked our 3 day wedding with only 7 months to plan and never saw the venue until the day we arrived. Alberto answered all of our questions leading up to the wedding in a professional and timely manner and was extremely helpful and reassuring. Alberto was incredibly warm and attentive from start to finish, making us and every guest feel like part of the Castello del Trebbio family. He was able to quickly adjust plans and help our guests if things went awry.
We welcomed our guests with a gelato cart from Il Fiorino gelato, who was recommended by Alberto, as well as a glass of sparkling wine! The first night welcome dinner was excellent and really solidified the feeling of family as we sat with our guests in the owner’s castle sharing a delicious, homemade meal. Our wedding day went exceedingly smoothly. The makeup artist and photographer that were recommended by Alberto worked efficiently and meticulously and knew the venue well, making it easy for us to enjoy our day. Aperitivo was incredible, we opted to have Aperol spritz during this time which we highly recommend. Dinner was served al fresco under twinkling lights and stars, with a menu that highlighted the best of regional cuisine — a crepe that myself and our guests will never forget, risotto, ravioli, and the most delicious millefoglie wedding cake!!! The wine flowed freely, the laughter was contagious, and the dance floor was alive until the early hours of the morning.
What made this venue truly exceptional was its perfect balance of luxury and intimacy. It felt like an escape into a different world — timeless, serene, and romantic. The accommodations for our guests were 5 star and a perfect blend of modern comfort and Italian country house. We loved having the pools to relax at on the day after the wedding and the pizza party to end the week was perfect. This magical place elevated every moment of our wedding weekend. To anyone considering a destination wedding in Italy: look no further. Alberto and the team at Castello del Trebbio didn’t just host our wedding, they have created lifelong memories for us and our guests. Planning Process:
I don't even know where to begin! From the beginning, Alberto has made planning our wedding as easy as it possibly could be. When we were in our research phase, Alberto was extremely quick to respond with tons of information, answered any questions we had, and even video chatted with us to show us the property as we were planning our wedding from the United States. Alberto truly made you feel like you were the only couple he was working with. I don't know how he does it. He was so delightful to work with the last year and a half in the planning process. He gave us great recommendations on vendors and was so quick to help with anything we needed help with, all while not only planning our wedding and other weddings, but also managing the grounds for weddings and events that were happening currently. Alberto would even email us to let us know if he was taking some time off in case he didn't get back to us right away if we needed something. His hospitality is A+++ and he is also very FUN to work with and be around!
Venue:
This venue is absolutely breathtaking and it truly doesn't get better than Castello del Trebbio! The views were absolutely stunning and the villas were so beautiful and comfortable. Everything you need is right on the property. From the Welcome Dinner, to the Wedding Day, to the Farewell Party - everything was just magical. The welcome dinner started with an amazing tour of the castle and wine cellar followed by a delicious dinner and beautiful sunset views. The wedding ceremony in the courtyard felt like a fairytale and then the Apperitivo/wedding dinner on the terraces offered the most beautiful views along with more amazing food. Everyone also raved about the farewell pizza party on the final night- especially the lasagna! The wines and olive oil throughout the stay were some of the best we have ever had as well. You have the opportunity to stay on the property for 2 or 3 nights, which I highly recommend staying for 3 nights because it was really awesome taking the day after the wedding to enjoy the pools, property, and final dinner with our guests. Everyone had an amazing experience and we can't wait to visit the castle again!
If you are dreaming about a fairytale tuscan wedding, look no further! Castello del Trebbio is your venue to make this vision come to life. Alberto worked endlessly to give us the wedding of our dreams and he went out of his way to accommodate everything. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!! I have spent 3 days trying to find the words to sum up my wedding week at Castello del Trebbio and I keep coming back to Magical.
The owners and staff are magical. The venue is magical. The food is magical. The wine is magical. The experience is magical. Honestly, it’s truly the most magical place. No picture can prepare you for the true beauty of Castello del Trebbio.
Alberto is magical. HE IS YOUR DREAM WEDDING PLANNER! He coordinated our week long stay and made us, and our 14 guests, feel like we were apart of the family. He was there for all our questions, was extremely accommodating to all our requests, and was right there when we ran into an hiccups. The power went out in one of our villas at 10pm and he immediately answered our call to walk us through successfully fixing it within 5 minutes. Don’t let a blown fuse in a building that is hundreds of years old misguide you, please please please.
Speaking of the buildings, 16 of us stayed amongst 3 of the apartments. Each couple or individual had their own room and private bathroom. The apartments are modern, comfortable and spacious with the most breathtaking views of the valley.
I would return here in a heartbeat and hope I get the chance to do so one day. I could not have asked for a more magical experience not only on our wedding day but throughout the whole week. I promise you will not be disappointed as you walk down the aisle in the castle courtyard.

My wife and I just got married last week at their wedding venue and the entire experience was absolutely perfect. Managing an Italian wedding from the USA we thought was going to be a daunting challenge, but Alberto made this process very easy. They have vendors they work with who know the property and for the most part they are included in the pricing. He gave us multiple options and showed us their work and we chose the one that best suited us. It made the whole experience much easier to coordinate from afar. We also loved the location being close to a major city with an Airport (Florence), we could rent out the entire lodging to accommodate our guests, and they had a winery on site (because who does not love Italian wine?).
Once we actually arrived at the venue everything was all that we could ask for and more. Alberto and his staff were very friendly and accommodating making our 3 days on the property perfect. They somehow even got the weather to cooperate with perfect weather during our entire stay. The wine was fantastic, and the food was amazing. All of the lodging was very nice with each building have plenty of room and amenities in each villa. When we weren't eating and drinking wine we had plenty of areas on the property for our entire group to relax and socialize at. The venue and lodging also sits in a place where it's easy to get to, but it's beautiful with rolling hills all around you. This made it beautiful to look at and even better to take pictures in front of. The whole time we were there all of our guests were just in awe of how amazing everything was.
If you want your perfect Italian wedding this one is a no brainer. Book it now and I promise you will not have any regrets.Castello del Trebbio's reply:

The courtyard of the medieval castle where Ryan and I exchanged our vows was absolutely enchanting. It provided a beautiful setting that perfectly encapsulated the charm and romance of Tuscany, making it the ideal place for our ceremony.
Our guests were accommodated in the charming villas, which ensured everyone was comfortable and relaxed throughout their stay. This was particularly important, especially in the moments leading up to the ceremony.
We can’t speak highly enough of Alberto, who executed our stay with the utmost professionalism, charisma, and ease. All our guests loved him and were talking about him months later when we were back in Canada. His attention to detail made everything run smoothly and allowed us to truly enjoy every moment of the celebration.
Additionally, the food was truly exceptional! We received numerous compliments from our guests, many of whom remarked that it was the best dining experience they had during their time in Italy. Every meal was delicious and contributed to the overall enjoyment of our wedding celebration.

Perfection
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Castello del Trebbio. The venue came highly recommended by our wedding planner, so we trusted her advice and I am SO glad we did. Our day was better than any dream we could have imagined.
(1) Our host Alberto - he is FANTASTIC. He was so communicative and pleasant to work with. He was very thorough in making sure we were pleased with everything and he made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond making sure all of our guests felt welcomed and had everything they needed. He even helped coordinate a guests lost luggage being transported from the airport to the venue. Our guests LOVED him and so did we.
(2) Food & Drink - We had SO many guests tell us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We received equally as much praise for the food from the welcome experience, which is not from the restaurant but rather provided by the family that resides in the castle. The wine is obviously great as were the cocktails. Many guests bought wine to take home, or even shipped back to the states.
(3) We had such a great experience with the restaurant staff and even got them on the dancefloor with us at the end of the night :)
(4) Accommodations & property grounds - The various villas and apartments are all so charming and our guests felt very comfortable. There was plenty of space for our 50 guests. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Our guests loved walking around to take in the views and it made for stunning wedding photos.
I am surely missing a million other amazing things about this place. Everything was a dream come true, but better. I truly cannot imagine our wedding at any other venue. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer and we will definitely be back for a visit.Castello del Trebbio's reply:

Amazing venue, amazing food and wine, amazing staff
My husband and I got married here in September and it could not have gone any better. Alberto, who runs the weddings, is extremely responsive, professional, and helpful through every step of the process. He has a list of vendors that he suggests for the venue— and each of these suggestions that we used were exceptional.
On our wedding day, it unfortunately rained but the backup plan for the rain was just as stunning as the original plan. The venue goes an amazing job of setting everything up so that the day of the wedding there is very little stress for the couple.
The venues food and wine are amazing! It is a vineyard that truly prides itself in their wine. Even with 80 guests, the quality of the food is superb and the staff serving was top notch.
As you can see from the photos, the grounds and venue are beautiful and are even more beautiful in person.
If they are available, I would highly suggest locking in your wedding date as soon as possible.

Firstly the location is beautiful and has a lot of history which is great if you have a love for history. Secondly the people of Castello are a great aid and perfectly know how to aid during the whole process. They will think of certain aspects that you would never think of. They are incredibly hospitable as well. I cannot think of anything that we can complain about. They did everything in their power to make these moments as unforgettable as a wedding is supposed to be.

Go to the venue just to meet Alberto himself, that alone is worth it!
The accommodations were luxurious and comfortable, allowing our family and friends to fully immerse themselves in the experience. Waking up to stunning views of vineyards and rolling hills was a dream come true!
Our wedding day was an absolute fairytale. The ceremony took place in the beautiful garden, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers. La cucina della Sosta del Gusto, il ristorante del Castello, ha deliziato i nostri ospiti con piatti autentici e materie prime di altissima qualità. From our first interaction with Alberto (the venue wedding manager), we knew we wouldn't regret our decision to choose Castello del Trebbio as our wedding venue. The venue was absolutely breathtaking, and pictures cannot even capture the beauty of it. Every direction you look in has the most stunning view even better than the last. From start to finish, this venue truly has it all. Coming from the US we were nervous it would be difficult to plan a wedding overseas, but it was one of the most stress free experiences because of what this venue offers. They provide a preferred vendor list, which was extremely helpful because they all know the ins and outs of the venue already. Alberto was phenomenal and made the entire planning process seamless. He was there every step of the way, and helped us make sure we didn't miss any small details. He was super responsive and we truly loved getting to know him during the entire planning process and throughout our wedding celebrations. All of our guests raved about how incredible he was during the castle tour and welcome dinner as well. Maurizio and the restaurant staff were also amazing and helped time everything up perfectly, including the surprise fireworks for guests. And the owners of the castle were incredibly sweet and made sure to congratulate and chat with us throughout the days. We can't wait to go back and visit the venue and everyone there! We will try and summarize how incredible Castello del Trebbio and Alberto, the man who makes dreams come true, in a single review. Beginning two years ago we found Castello del Trebbio and would come to realize that we were lucky in our search. Alberto immediately put all fears of planning an international wedding and placing a deposit on a venue sight unseen to rest. He answered all of our initial questions incredibly promptly via email, WhatsApp and Facetime. We used almost every vendor Castello del Trebbio recommended and could not have been happier with the planning experience we had with each one.
Flash forward a year we were lucky enough to visit Castello del Trebbio and see the entire campus and eat in the wonderful restaurant. A dream trip in itself, let alone picturing all of our friends and family in the very spot just a short year later. Alberto made sure that we were able to see and taste any and everything. He accommodated every request we had and found solutions we did not even know we needed. All we felt leaving the year prior to our wedding was excitement to be back at Castello del Trebbio for the big day.
I do not write this lightly, our wedding weekend at Castello del Trebbio this past August was a dream come true. We had an unbelievable time and to have our friends and family all together in such a special place was all we could have asked for the rest of our lives. From our Friday night tour of the castle and welcome party to our ceremony in the courtyard to our breathtaking dinner on the terrace. Every detail was pure magic. True la dolce vita but in wedding form. We cannot wait to visit and celebrate anniversaries in such a wonderful place. An Unforgettable Experience
Wow wow wow. It really is tough to think about how to begin writing this review and summarize our incredible experience at Castello Del Trebbio.
Our amazing experience began 14 months before the wedding, with the very first video call with Alberto - his humor, professionalism, and promptness filled my wife and I with all the confidence in the world that we could plan a dream wedding for all of our friends and family from afar.
Over the next year, we would communicate almost weekly (and eventually daily) with Alberto - he would reply almost immediately. He helped us think through every aspect of the weekend experience, the logistics, the questions, the "what if's". He was so organized, thoughtful, and charismatic.
The Castello venue itself is something out of a fairytale! Pictures truly don't do it justice. The Castello.. the villas.. the swimming pools.. everything was magical.
And the food from La Sosta Del Gusto still has our guests reminiscing about the amazing meals we shared.

We had the most unforgettable experience at Castello del Trebbio! From the moment we stepped foot in this stunning castle, we knew it was the perfect setting for our most special day. The breathtaking views, lush vineyards and olive trees, and historic charm created a romantic ambiance that exceeded our expectations.
We were fortunate enough to stay in the luxurious villas on-site for three days, which added to the magic of our wedding celebration. The villas were beautifully appointed, spacious and offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Every room had their en-suite bathroom, which made it easier to choose where our guests would sleep in. It was the perfect place for us and our loved ones to relax, unwind and spend quality time before and after the big day.
Our wedding coordinator, Alberto, was an absolute professional! His attention to detail, expertise and warm personality made the planning process effortless and enjoyable. After a year and a half of constant communication with him, he ended up feeling like a long-distant family member, which made things better. He went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our wedding was perfect, from the ceremony setup to the reception layout. His recommendations and guidance were valuable and we can’t thank him enough for making our wedding dreams come true.

First of all, Alberto was such an amazing manager and was great to work with. I went ahead without a wedding planner or coordinator and it wasn’t easy to do everything all the way from Australia, but Alberto was so supportive and helpful.
The venue is absolutely beautiful. All the villas and houses were great! All the houses had great views.
Our wedding was like dream like, and was so magical. The reception on the balcony was just… like a dream. The Aperitivo seemed great, just such a shame that we couldn’t be there taking all the wedding photos.
All of our guests were honoured to be part of the wedding, and gave us so many compliments.
Would always choose Castello del Trebbio if we got another chance.

I don’t think a review can do justice to how incredible this venue was – and what an absolute rockstar the venue coordinator Alberto has been! You’re kind of getting a wedding coordinator built into the price.
The venue itself: a medieval castle rich in history, nestled in the Tuscan countryside overlooking the hills and vineyards. It doesn’t get better than that! We booked out several of the houses on the castle grounds, with most guests staying two nights. Everyone loved the rustic charm of the villas, and we received a bunch of positive feedback from our guests. The ceremony took place in the castle courtyard, which provided a beautiful and classy frame to the event! The aperitivo was served on the terrace overlooking the vineyards and the dinner in the wine cellar. Overall, the venue was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for one thing to be different.
A paragraph of this review needs to be dedicated to the amazing Alberto. He was a joy to work with, super responsive throughout the planning, and really helping us think things through. He provided excellent advice about how to structure the multi-day event, and we never felt he was making recommendations from a place of trying to “upsell” us. Rather, every recommendation came from a place of genuinely caring about making our wedding the best it could be – for us and for our guests. During the event, Alberto helped usher people to various events, was an exceptional castle tour guide sharing its rich history in an accessible and entertaining way. He then led the wine tasting event – eliciting appreciation for his style from connoisseurs and novices alike. We received almost as many positive comments from our guests about Alberto as we did about the medieval castle!
We also recommend you ask Alberto for advice on vendors. Each one of his recommendations was top notch: high caliber professionals who know the venue and work in sync with each other.
One of the best comments we received from one of our guests was how they felt that they weren’t just another number, being ushered in and out of the venue as quickly as possible to leave space for the next wedding. Rather, they felt that throughout their two days at the venue they were valued and appreciated guests who mattered.

We are big planners and we at one point had a spreadsheet with 170 Italian wedding venues on it, Castello del Trebbio seemed too good to be true, then it was.

Castello del Trebbio was an absolute dream venue for us. We found the venue through a friend of ours who had considered the Castle for their wedding pre-covid. We were hesitant at first at the idea of planning a destination wedding, but Alberto and the whole team made everything so easy.
We were able to visit the Castle in March 2023 to meet everyone in person, see the villas and the Castle, and to taste our wedding menu (and wines!). It really helped to make sure that we felt confident in the vision and experience ourselves and our guests would have in a few short months.
We had 73 guests attend our wedding in Oct 2023, staying for four nights. A little over half of our guests stayed at the Castle in the 7 villas (5 big villas, 2 annexes), and the remainder of our guests stayed at two local Agriturismos less than a 15 minute drive from the Castle.
The villas are gorgeous. They are beautifully remodelled while keeping their historic charm. Just walking between the villas through the Castle grounds you can see the care and passion that went into making Castello del Trebbio the destination spot it is today. We really enjoyed spending time in the main rooms of the villas and at the pools – although they’re not usually open in October, we got lucky with unusually hot weather for the time of year.
Our wedding day was in the middle of the week, so we planned a few dinners at the Castle before and after our wedding day. The Castle offers a Welcome Dinner & Wine Tasting which we highly recommend doing. You learn so much about the history of the castle, the family who currently runs the vineyards, and about the products and types of wine they produce. We had a few history-loving guests who really enjoyed the tour of the Castle before the dinner; we won’t give away any spoilers but we can confirm that Alberto is one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had.
For the majority of the meals, including our wedding day, we worked with the restaurant, La Sosta del Gusto. Everyone was kind and professional and the food was incredible. They did a wonderful job working around a few allergies and dietary preferences our guests had so that everyone had more than enough to eat throughout the week.
On our wedding day, we used a few of the Castle's recommended vendors, and found a few others through Wedding Wire. Everyone was so kind and professional and coordinated with Alberto and his team on our wedding day. It took a lot of the stress away knowing that the people we had chosen to work with had good relationships with the Castle and were well known and well reviewed vendors in their given fields.
Final shoutout to Alberto who is the absolute best. He was always available to answer our emails when we had questions, and we had a lot! He had really good suggestions to help make the week go by smoothly and we’re so glad that we were able to work with him to give ourselves and our guests a truly once in a lifetime experience.Castello del Trebbio's reply:

All of our friends and family that attended said it was like a fairytale wedding.
Planning a wedding from the US was easy with Alberto, the event manager. He is patient and very professional. We went over for a weekend to do the menu tasting and tour the castle. That was well worth the trip. From the minute we arrived for our wedding weekend, everything we planned was in motion. Our guests felt welcome and very comfortable. The accommodations are really nice. The bathrooms are updated. The food was delicious! From the welcome dinner to the farewell dinner, every meal was amazing. The venders that were recommended by Alberto were excellent. The florist, hair and makeup and musicians. We were very happy with all of them. Amazing Venue and Staff
From our first email correspondence with Alberto we knew Castello Del Trebbio was the right place for our destination wedding. Planning a wedding in Tuscany with 40 guests, from New York, seemed intimidating, but Alberto took all the stress out of it. He couldn’t have been more responsive to us, and knew exactly what was needed to make the day perfect. Also, getting to spend a couple night in March at the Castle to taste the food, meet Alberto in Person, and scout out the right sleeping arrangements was great.
Once we arrived for our three nights everything went off perfectly. The private vans picked up everyone on time from various locations in Florence, and everyone arrived to a welcome drink when they checked in! All the guests loved the rooms, especially the great pools across the property!

Where do we begin!?! Our wedding at Castello del Trebbio was everything we could have wished for and more, for our intimate wedding of 30 people. From start to finish Alberto was a dream to work with. He responded within minutes to any query we had and treated any matter that arose with patience and kindness. The venue was absolutely breathtaking. Although our August wedding took place in 35 degree heat everything was perfect, every villa is equipped with outstanding air con and the pools were always there to cool us down. The welcome tour, wine tasting and dinner on the first night was an ideal way to get all of our guests together and start the celebrations. We could not get over how amazing the food was! The day of our wedding was like a dream. Our fantastic wedding planner Samuele, assisted us in selecting all of our vendor's and organising everything on the day. Our wedding dinner was out of this world and the guests loooooooved the wedding cake! The following day, once again the BBQ food was exquisite. We enjoyed our special weekend so much from the moment we arrived to when the vans pulled off with our guests and we couldn't hold back the happy tears as we stood there with Alberto and waved them off. We selected Castello del Trebbio after an initial zoom call with Alberto. I remember he mentioned, we can hire a wedding planner, but he takes care of everything - that couldn’t be more true! Alberto really took all of the stress out of planning a wedding.
We did not have the opportunity to see Castello del Trebbio in-person beforehand and we could not have been more blown away. We had 51 guests stay on-site and the accommodation was stunning - each room / villa was unique.
As far as the food and the weekend itself, everything went above and beyond. Alberto is always a quick message away if you need anything. He helped us with olive oil favors for the guests and they were a huge hit.
We celebrated with all of our guests for three nights and can not wait for a return trip in the future.

Our wedding at Castello Del Trebbio was truly a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the beauty of the castle and the surrounding countryside. The staff had everything prepared for us upon arrival, and we were able to work with Alberto on placing welcome bags & the Castello's wine for our guests. Every room was spacious and had good A/C for the warm summer days. We were very pleased, especially having to plan this from California and not visiting prior.
Alberto was absolutely amazing. He was so organized and efficient, and he always made sure that we were on track. He was also incredibly creative, and he helped us to come up with some truly unique and special touches for our wedding.
One of the things that we loved most about Castello Del Trebbio was the variety of activities that were available for our guests. We had cooking classes, a pizza party with the chef, and pool gatherings at our villa. Everyone had such a memorable time and said it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended!
The food at Castello Del Trebbio was also incredible. We had a great welcome tour of the Castle with Alberto that concluded with such an amazing meal! We also had delicious breakfasts in the restaurant. The pasta class and pizza party were both delicious too! Each meal was in a different & unique location on the property.

Dream Wedding
Planning a wedding in Italy from the US can sound stressful but Alberto at Castello del Trebbio made this the easiest event I have ever planned. Alberto is super responsive and detailed to make sure everything is ready to go well before you arrive. And the venue itself is breathtaking! Pictures just don't do it justice but it was an absolute dream. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding. We picked this venue before having ever seen it and when we finally got a chance to come before the wedding to see everything, it beat every expectation we could have had. If you are looking for your perfect wedding venue in Tuscany for a destination wedding look no further. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Castello del Trebbio and its hard working team for making our wedding weekend truly remarkable. Almost every one of our guests have commented that this weeding was the best they have ever been to and I can honestly say that if you book here you will not regret it.
Let's start from the beginning. It was Christmas time and we sent our inquiry for more information. Immediately we received a response from the true superstar of the operation Alberto. He was so responsive and attentive to all of our questions it made my then-fiancé and I feel immediately comfortable and at ease. As many of you who are reading this now may know, booking a destination wedding in a foreign country seems like a huge undertaking. But with Alberto's expert guidance and recommendations we knew that Castello del Trebbio was the pick for us.
Fast forward a few months, we were invited to come to do a site visit and taste the menu. We came in November and finally met Alberto and the restaurant manager, Maurizio. We were thrilled that not only was the venue breathtaking and beautiful the food was amazing too. Each course was carefully plated and presented with such attention to detail. And, of course, the wine was superb. After meeting with our vendors we left knowing that we made the right pick.
Now, for the wedding. We booked an entire weekend of wedding events for our guests. For the first night, we booked the Castle tour and wine tasting. Learning the history of the historic castle and the family that inhabits it was so remarkable and each guest thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the tasting. The dinner was served in the great hall and the food was prepared by the family. It was the perfect start to the weekend. The next morning we opted for brunch on the restaurant terrace. Overlooking the vineyards on the morning of my wedding with my closest family and friends was so special and the perfect start to my wedding day. We chose to have the ceremony in the Castle courtyard. My florist arranged for flowers to flank the aisle and a large floral arch for us to stand under during the ceremony. From the moment the castle doors opened to the courtyard I gasped at how beautiful it was. We had the cocktail hour in the castle courtyard followed by the dinner inside the restaurant. Since we only had 48 guests, I opted for one large table and chose to gift our guests bottles of the first pressed olive oil from the Castle. The dinner was several courses and we opted to have both the millfeuille cake and a tiered wedding cake. Following dinner, which was amazing, we went out to the terrace to cut our cake and have our first dance. The terrace was lighted with string lights with the Castle in the background. It was magical. Then the dancing began and we danced until 2 am. It was the wedding I always dreamed of.
The following morning we had wedding brunch out on the terrace and then opted for the Tuscan BBQ in the evening to end the wedding weekend. Some may say the Florentine steak served here could rival any in Florence it was that good. Overall, as I think back writing this review I wish I could do it all over again. And I hope that you chose this venue so your day will be just as special and magical as ours. Special thanks to Alberto, Maurizio and the entire Castello del Trebbio team you made our Tuscan Fairy Tale come true.

They made the planning process so easy for us, especially while we were planning everything from Los Angeles, Alberto ESPECIALLY was so kind and generous he was so accommodating no matter what we needed or requested. Castello del Trebbio was the most magical venue we could have chosen for our wedding. The castle, villas and surrounding vineyards transport you to a Medieval world in Tuscany. We picked our venue from the Wedding Wire app without ever seeing it in person until our wedding day. Alberto Peroni, the Events and Wedding Manager, made us feel confident from Day 1 that we picked the right venue. He was with us every step of the way during the wedding planning to ensure we had all the right vendors in place for our big day. He is super quick with his responses and extremely helpful. We made so many changes - from our guest list to our accommodations and he was flexible and very accommodating with all of it. Alberto did a video call with us so we could see the venue from afar. For anyone thinking about doing a destination wedding, but afraid of booking things from afar, choose Castello del Trebbio and you can trust that your destination wedding will go very smooth! From the delicious, gourmet food (the truffle crepe was my favorite) to the service and attention Alberto provides during the wedding day, your wedding will be just as you dreamed. Ours was. Dream Wedding in Tuscany
After extensive research online last year, I found Castello del Trebbio for our wedding in October 2022. Those three days were better than I could have ever dreamed.
From the beginning, Alberto made the entire process seamless as well as stress free with his communication, planning, and quick response time even with the time difference. I loved that the wedding package was unique to what we wanted and all-inclusive (a huge bonus when planning an overseas wedding during a pandemic). Alberto went above and beyond to ensure every detail was set prior to the event.
Once we arrived at Castello, we found the estate was even more beautiful and charming in person. Alberto greeted us with a very warm welcome. He was so kind and easy to work with. The castle and wine cellar tour with tasting the first night was fascinating and the welcome dinner was delicious. We added a brunch the morning of the wedding which was also very good and kept everyone full until aperitif and dinner that evening.
The wedding and reception dinner exceeded our expectations. It truly was a fairytale wedding. The team working with Alberto delivered exceptional service. The florist, Chiara, worked with me directly to make sure the bouquets and decor were exactly what I wanted. Sara is a true makeup artist who will make every bride feel like a princess on her big day. The violinist, Simone, delivered every song during the ceremony perfectly and even played our special request of Harry Potter. When the cellist joined during dinner, it made for the most lovely atmosphere. The restaurant staff went above and beyond during both the aperitif and dinner. Our photographer, Giuseppe, was easy to work with and did a wonderful job in capturing the perfect evening.
For the last day of our stay, we planned a tour to Sienna, a Tuscan winery, and San Gimignano, with a tour company per Alberto’s recommendation (Gianluca). It was a wonderful way to end the trip to Castello.
Highly recommend Castello del Trebbio, Alberto and his team if you want the best wedding experience you could ever dream of. We can’t wait to visit Castello again for our anniversary!Castello del Trebbio's reply:

We are not sure where to even begin, in short: Castello Del Trebbio is THE PLACE to host your Tuscan wedding. We booked the placed pre-pandemic, and had to cancel/reschedule three times. Albi, the host was extremely accommodating every single time, and extremely responsive. He is also very knowledgable so trust his recommendations. The venue is breathtaking, the food excellent quality, the wine is delicious and the itinerary (castle tour, wine tasting, courtyard ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner) is perfect for a small group setting.
The entire property is lovingly maintained and renovated. We could not have had a better wedding experience - it exceeded all our expectations.

We booked Castello del Trebbio during covid without being able to visit Italy from UK. It met all our requirements which were; we wanted all of our guests to stay in one place (42 guests), we wanted an on site restaurant and we wanted an outdoor wedding.
We booked all of the accommodation even though we had spare rooms because not all of our guests are family so we wanted them to have privacy.
Alberto from day 1 was superb, so friendly and helpful and clearly experienced in hosting wedding. There were some things we wanted to do such as have a pizza party on the Friday but we weren't able to, what I'd say is trust Alberto. What we ended up doing was so much better.
On the Friday (arrival day), Alberto let us go round to all the rooms and put welcome gifts in them for our guests. Then in the evening we had a tour of the castle and a buffet style family dinner which was amazing. It put all of our guests in a great mood and taught them about the history of the castle where we'd be having our ceremony the next day.
Our wedding day rained for the majority of the day and I mean thundered, rained and was crazy windy. Alberto was so reassuring and was kind enough to show us our back up plan set out for a wedding on the Thursday when we arrived, so I wasn't at all worried.
We managed to have our ceremony in the beautiful courtyard as the sun came out just in time, the dinner was inside which was more beautiful to us than the terrace. But we managed to cut the cake and have our first dance on the terrace. Everything was perfect.
The food is incredible from breakfast to the wedding dinner. The open bar was great value for money and meant our guests enjoyed themselves (some a bit too much) without having to spend money. The staff are out of this world, nothing was too much. They served dinner so quickly and professionally, they were kind to our guests and whenever we'd have a meeting with Alberto prior to the wedding I was always offered a drink which made us feel like we were in the company of family.
Tips:
- The venue has to be booked for dinner so your guests have to go out or have food in their villas unless you book lunch. This shouldn't have been a problem for us but because of the rain no one wanted to go out and visit the local town, we just took a trip to the supermarket though and stocked their houses.
- The castle wine will leave your family wanting more. We've just enquired about having some shipped over to UK as Christmas gifts because people keep banging on about it.
- Trust everything Alberto recommends as he has been at the castle a long time and knows what your guests will love.
- In hindsight we should have booked an extra night so people could chill the day after the wedding, we didn't do this because we didn't want people to have to take the Monday off work but it would have been nice to spend time with them the day after.
We cannot wait to go back and I wish we could have our wedding weekend all over again!Castello del Trebbio's reply:

A Magical Tuscan Wedding
Castello del Trebbio is a beautiful castle and wedding venue. The castle is surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and tumbling hills, which make the perfect backdrop for your wedding dinner on the terrace.
Alberto, the events manager and coordinator, is phenomenal - he acts as a wedding planner - giving you advice on the vendors and tips on how to organise your stay and what to do. Alberto made the whole process of planning a wedding abroad easy and exciting. He answered all of our questions promptly and he was always willing to help us to make our wedding perfect. He is incredibly kind, generous and passionate about Castello del Trebbio. Alberto makes you feel that your wedding is truly special and unique, and goes above and beyond for you.
Castello del Trebbio offers a range of experiences to complete your wedding. We hired all of the accommodation for four days for our guests. On the first night we had a castle tour led by Alberto, who was warm, whitty and incredibly knowledgeable about the castle and his family’s history. Our guests enjoyed the tour and learning all about the history of the castle and winery. This was followed by an enjoyable wine tasting experience, where we sampled the castle’s amazing wines. The family cooked our guests a traditional Tuscan meal, which was delicious and enjoyed by all our guests. The meal included both meat, vegetarian and vegan options. This experience was perfect as an introduction to our stay and I would highly recommend booking it to welcome your guests.
We also booked two breakfasts throughout our stay which had a range of delicious food: cold meats, cheeses, yoghurt, fruit, cake and eggs. These were held in the beautiful restaurant.
We got married in the courtyard and the birds tweeted during our ceremony, which was magical. It felt like a fairytale! We used Tuscan Pledges for our celebrant, recommended by Alberto. Jo, the celebrant, delivered a thoughtful and personalised ceremony. Alberto was on hand during the ceremony to help everything run smoothly.
We had canapés in the garden and then had our wedding dinner on the terrace. The 5 course meal was delicious and the food was exquisitely prepared, accompanied by Castello del Trebbio’s exceptional wine. The sunset over the terrace and the fairy lights came on and it looked stunning. All our guests said how the views and sun setting was spectacular.
We had an excellent saxophonist, Lorenzo Perracino (we found on Gig Heaven) and DJ, Paolo, from Audiodress. The disco after the wedding dinner was in a large room next to the terrace. The open bar service was excellent- our guests enjoyed cocktails, wines, spirits and even pizza at midnight.
The villas are brilliant and fully equipped. We made lunch and dinner for the third day in the villas, and our friends and family relaxed round the swimming pools. Alberto helped all our guests check-in and check-out, and greeted and said goodbye to our guests. He also welcomed our guests with sparkling wine and juice, which was a lovely welcome for them.
We loved our wedding day but also the four days at Castello del Trebbio - it was amazing to be able to have a wedding celebration with our family and friends. The castle, accommodation and experiences were perfect and it was a wedding and holiday to treasure. Our friends and family all want to return to the castle again and also try the pasta making, which we did not have time to do.

A real life fairytale
Our wedding felt truly out of the pages of a storybook. It was a dream come true - everything we hoped it would be and so much more. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the views stunning. Alberto was friendly and helpful. He coordinated every aspect of our wedding day from the flowers, hair & makeup stylist, menu, music and so much more. He answered emails quickly and made the whole process of planning a wedding on the other side of the planet easy and stress free.
We had decided to elope but wanted to bring along our immediate family so we had a total of 10 adults and 3 small children with us. We all had different travel plans from Canada to Italy and Alberto was very helpful in coordinating transfers for our guests. Villa Pergola was perfect accommodation for us with everyone having their own ensuite and A/C. Our guests really enjoyed the private pool as well.
We really enjoyed the welcome tour of the castle and learning about the history as well as tasting the amazing wine and food.
The wedding itself was beautiful. The castle courtyard was a beautiful and romantic ceremony location. The sun setting over the rolling hills were the perfect backdrop to our amazing evening celebrating with amazing food and wine at the restaurant. Truly and experience we will treasure forever.

An absolutely fantastic place to arrange a wedding. Authentic and romantic. Alberto and his team lined up all the way and responded very quickly. We arranged our wedding without a wedding planner, but couldn't have done it without Alberto's help. This really became our dream wedding.
So good food, wine and decor - everything was magical.
All off our guests cant stop saying good things of our fantastisc wedding weekend.
On friday we had a castletour and winetasting, and that experince was amazing. A fun way to kick off the wedding.

A dream came true
We initially met Alberto, the wedding events manager at Castello del Trebbio, two years ahead of time when we were deciding on the perfect location for our wedding. We completely fell in love with this beautiful place and Alberto accompanied us from that very first video call until the day we said yes (and after!). Our wedding was half Irish and half Italian, more than half of our guests were traveling from outside of Italy. We really wanted a location that was able to provide accommodation for most of our guests. Castello del Trebbio not only offered accommodation to our guests, but gave them the most amazing three days immersed in the Tuscan hills with breathtaking landscape and food. Alberto provided us with a list of vendors to help us organize our dream wedding. We cannot emphasise enough how professional and amazing all staff at Castello del Trebbio and vendors were leading up to and during the wedding. It was extremely easy to liaise with them even though we do not live in Italy. Most importantly, all vendors recommended by Castello del Trebbio knew the venue and all of the parties involved knew how to organize themselves with everything required on the day. Every one of our guests said that this wedding was a dream and they never experienced a wedding like this in their lives. We feel that this was not only a wedding but an extremely special experience we have been able to share with each other and our guests across three days. We developed a great relationship and friendship with Alberto. He walked us out of the courtyard after our ceremony ahead of our guests, shared a moment with us before we were presented to our guests in the garden. We have the most perfect picture Alberto took as we walked into our ceremony. We want to reinforce the same message for the restaurant. Maurizio who manages the restaurant was so good with all of the food requirements our guests had and helped set up the tables as we had dreamed. We had a few guests that could not make it due to covid last minute and Maurizio worked with us to reorganize the table plan. He was available for any request and made us feel as though all was taken care of. We had the wedding that we always dreamt of. The Tuscan Wedding of our Dreams
Our wedding at Castello del Trebbio was an absolute dream! With stunning views, delicious food, and excellent staff, we could not have imagined a more special location to have spent the most memorable week of our lives.
We would be remiss not to mention and give special thanks to Alberto, he is truly the best of the best. He helped us coordinate all aspects of our wedding, including (but not limited to) recommending an amazing restaurant in Florence to host our rehearsal dinner and finding a last minute babysitter for our 8 month old nephew. Alberto and the rest of the staff were indescribably helpful with all aspects of our wedding, going so far as to do some shopping for requested food and other provisions for our guests prior to our arrival. They really went out of their way to be accommodating and help us with our dream wedding.
The grounds are spectacularly beautiful, complete with olive groves to explore, flowers, wildlife, pools for family and friends to relax, and the Medici-era castle! Each villa was perfect for our guests, with a proper combination of modern touches to make you feel at home (en suite bathrooms, AC, modern appliances) and rustic Tuscan charm and architecture. It really felt like home, with our family and friends cooking meals, sharing drinks, and hanging out together.
Wedding day was magical. The castle courtyard is the perfect ceremony location, enhanced by the beautiful flowers we had from our florist. Our cocktail hour in the castle garden was great for pictures and the food was enjoyed by all. The restaurant was able to do two signature cocktails for us which our guests loved! Dinner on the terrace was amazing…the meals were exceptional, and the rolling hills backdrop with the sun setting was beyond picturesque. With the help of our ‘day of’ wedding coordinator (Elena Chiaramonti) and Alberto, our wedding day (as well as the rest of the week) was extremely relaxed and stress free, allowing us to truly take in the experience with family and friends.
From the welcome day castle tour and wine tasting, to a spectacular wedding day, and even a hangover pizza party, we and our guests had the most memorable week. We will cherish the memories we made with our loved ones at Trebbio. We highly recommend Castello del Trebbio for the Tuscan wedding of your dreams! We cannot wait to come back and hope to spend anniversaries here in this extraordinary, special place.

Because of COVID, he graciously helped us reschedule our date and we had the pleasure of working with Alberto for almost 2 years to plan our wedding. All of the recommended vendors by them went above and beyond on the day of our wedding. The beauty of this venue in person far exceeded our expectations and all of our guests were in awe that they got to experience a wedding in such a beautiful location. Delicious food, delicious wine, and service so seamless you didn't even notice you were being served. We felt warmly welcomed from the second we arrived to the second we had to leave. Tuscan Countryside Dream Wedding!
Two years ago, I began planning my wedding with Alberto (Events and Wedding Manager) from Castello del Trebbio. I am from Southern California and was appalled at how expensive weddings/venues are. After deciding to opt for a smaller, intimate wedding, I discovered Castello del Trebbio through WeddingWire. I inquired and was immediately given many options, prices, and availability.
Then, the pandemic hit, and Alberto was very accommodating. He allowed us to reschedule our wedding from Sept. 2021 to April 2022 while keeping our agreed-upon prices. I would email Alberto what I thought were stupid questions during that time, but he always put my mind to ease and was exceptionally kind and understanding.
Overall, we booked four nights (Monday-Friday) with 24 guests. Everyone stayed in the villas on-site (with Welcome Baskets provided in each villa for guests), and we loved the "ping-pong room" and outdoor patios, which allowed us to enjoy the wine from the wine cellars, which are included in every villa. We booked breakfast for our guests (through the on-site restaurant) on Tuesday and Wednesday, brunch on Thursday, lunch on Wednesday, and dinner on Monday and Wednesday. The food selection was fresh, authentic, and beautifully prepared. Better than any American breakfast I've had!
We enjoyed a Welcome Dinner on Monday night after all our guests arrived. Alberto gave us a tour of the castle and an in-depth (and hilariously told) background of the family and its history. We toured through the private rooms and cellars and finished by having some of the best food I've ever eaten, made by the family that owns and operates the Castle.
On Tuesday, guests were encouraged to take a taxi (using the app ITtaxi) into Florence city (about a 25-minute drive) or spend the day doing whatever they wanted. We also had two private pools at our disposal. And let me tell you...the sights were unbelievable!
On Tuesday morning, some of the guests attended a Pasta Cooking Class at the Castle. We made the pasta and two types of sauce (vegetable and meat sauce). After the class, we sat down together and ate it along with wine and an appetizer. It was delicious and such a fun experience! We also got to take home our aprons as souvenirs!
Wednesday was the wedding day. Guests were provided a sit-down breakfast at the restaurant on-site and then later in the afternoon, Take-Away lasagna. Everything went according to plan! After the ceremony (officiated by Jo Bertolino), we enjoyed cocktail hour in the restaurant garden, and wow, I had never seen such a deliciously beautiful display of food. We took pictures all over the Castle grounds and always had a beautiful background no matter where we went (Photographer Gabriele Fani). After cocktail hour, we sat down for dinner on the restaurant terrace, and our table was decorated with a stunning display of white flowers (Florist Chiara Pieraccioni). The best part was that we could watch the sunset as we enjoyed dinner. The restaurant accommodated my vegetarian guests, and we all enjoyed a 5-course meal. I was blown away by the elegance and professionalism of the staff all week. My guests were raving about the food all night and the breathtaking views. After dinner, we moved into the private room and danced the night away with an open bar (DJ Paolo Petrillo from Audiodress).
On Thursday, guests were again encouraged to spend the day as they wished and explore nearby towns or relax in the villas or by the pool.
Friday morning, everyone checked out and continued with their travels. Most guests needed to be picked up from the Florence train station upon check-in and then dropped off after check-out. Beforehand, I had arranged pick-up and drop-off vans with Alberto for all the guests. We even had a few last-minute changes, and Alberto was understanding and quick to notify the driver.
I could not be more impressed by everyone at the Castle. The venue was perfect, the food was perfect, and the staff was perfect. By the end of the week, they felt like family. If I could do it all over again, there wouldn't be one thing I would change.
I have to give a massive shout-out to Alberto, who stuck with me through the pandemic and never gave up on helping plan my dream wedding even though it took longer than expected. He is the real superstar at Castello del Trebbio. I didn't visit Castello del Trebbio before committing to having my wedding there, and everything worked out perfectly. I had no fears or anxiety during the entire planning process because of the support and help I received from Alberto.
My guests are still talking about how unique their experience was at the Castle and wedding, and that, to me, was the goal! I can't say enough good things about my experience at Castello del Trebbio, but I can say this...you won't regret having your wedding there!
By the end of the week, we shipped 12 bottles of wine home to California because that was some of the best wine I've ever tasted, and I didn't want to leave without it!Castello del Trebbio's reply:

Finally we had our wedding in beautiful tuscany in Italy. We got everything we expected, and much more… the surroundings and atmosphere of this stunning place with so much history is one to experience for yourself. We absolutely recommend having a two day stay with a tour of the castle and wine tasting one day before the wedding. (We also payed for this, and the price is also incl rental of 3 houses + 2 annex) Also the service was terrific, and Alberto made sure we never missed anything during our stay. We will defenitly come back to visit another time.

Dream wedding in Tuscany
We had a 3-day, 80 people wedding at the Castello, and it was everything we had hoped and dreamt about! Alberto, Sabrina and team are detail oriented and very organised people, making sure the wedding ran smoothly. Always available for questions or requests, nothing was impossible for them and I would not want anyone else in charge of our wedding! Although Covid rules were still in effect, Alberto and team went the extra mile to make sure we had the perfect party, within the rules at the time. The Castello and the villa's surrounding it, where we and our guests stayed for the wedding, are a beautiful sight, and could come straight out of a movie. Each room is arranged in authentic Tuscany furniture and most have en suite bathrooms, which our guests were really happy with. Three swimming pools at the villa's made sure our guests were entertained during the day. The catering during our wedding was organised by Sabrina and the restaurant. The food served at our wedding dinner and breakfast was delicious. Thank you Sabrina for your flexibility! Tuscany, the Castello del Trebbio and Alberto will forever have a place in our heart!Castello del Trebbio's reply:
