Corey, from Cassinova Sound, was wonderful. I hired him after a reccomendation from a friend and recent bride. His price couldn't be beat, so I went forward with him. I had a little trouble communicating with him via email, though some people do well with email some do not (it's just a style and communication preference thing, no big deal), but when we were finally able to meet in person, he was on time and ready to hear all of my requests.
The party he provided was AMAZING, OMG! Now, in interest of full disclosure other friends hired him and were really disappointed, but I honestly think it was more their guests attitude towards letting their freak flag fly than Corey or his services. (It's my opinion that sappy country songs can really kill a dance party, I was requesting songs like "I like big butts"). I have a lot of energetic characters that were ready to throw down on the dance floor and Corey responded with song after song that made us let loose and laugh (a lot). He listened to every single one of my requests. He played every song that I specifically requested ahead of time and at the end of the night, when he played his last song, a few of my friends convinced to play "just one more!" He was happy to do so.
He even surprised me half way through with something that made my reception party so unique and memorable. He kind of stopped the party, set up us in two lines (guys across from women) and at first I was a little freaked out (as I specifically told him no organized dances!) so I didn't know what he was doing or what was going on. Anyways, he busts out with instructions for an Old-school soul train line. My guests went NUTS! It was absolutely hysterical and lasted a few songs.
Throughout the night I had guests coming up to me saying "Where did you find this guy?! He's amazing!" The bartender told me "I've worked here 4 years, I've never seen a party like this!" Craig and I were absolutely THRILLED we had Corey.
