Living in Denver, I saw so many images of beautiful mountain weddings that it was hard to figure out who could capture our modern hotel wedding downtown! Luckily I had recommendations from friends and was able to hand the job over to Caroline Colvin! She nailed it! And I got sneak peek pics the day after the wedding before we left for our honeymoon! :)

I don't know where to begin - Caroline is AMAZING! I'm a COVID bride, so had been in contact with Caroline for two years before our big day. She checked in every once in while and then consistently leading up to the big day. She also remembered me mentioning I wanted night photos which I mentioned when I first talked to her in 2019! They came out AMAZING. Her personality is calming and really just made us feel like ourselves. Not to mention, ALL (there were so many) of the photos are beautiful and classic! I cannot recommend her enough!

We had an itty bitty COVID-19 winter wedding. Neither myself nor my husband tends to be photogenic people, and I was really worried about photographing my very very pale self against white snow in a semi-white dress. I also really wanted natural photos in posing, feel, and minimal retouching. Caroline really delivered! She truly knows how to photograph and pose well - something that I found lacking in other photographers who we looked into. Our photos are really above and beyond what I was expecting, and I honestly think our portraits alone and as a couple are some of the most genuine, yet elegant wedding photos I have seen, all thanks to her talent.

I also want to mention that she had an amazing recommendation for our officiant, and was very respectful of our extra caution due to COVID-19. If we ever do professional photos again I will use Caroline without question.

Working with Caroline was a pleasure from our first interaction to receiving the incredible photos from our wedding. Caroline responded to my initial inquiry within 24 hours, immediately sent me a full wedding to review her work more thoroughly, and we scheduled a call to talk more within 48. She answered every question before I could even think to ask it. She seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and my partner and gave us the sense that she really cared about making sure we were a good fit. She became my basis of comparison when I spoke with other photographers, and my conversation with her taught me the questions I should be asking. We absolutely ADORED working with Caroline for our engagement and wedding photographs! It was one of the easiest and best decisions we made in the wedding planning process! We could tell instantly when we met Caroline how talented she was at her job. She made us feel so natural during our engagement photo shoot; she was easy to talk to, made us laugh and it was truly a pleasure to spend the evening with her. Photography was the first thing we decided on during wedding planning - before the venue! We knew it was the only thing we’d have after the wedding besides our memories and getting the perfect person was a must. I was referred to her through a friend and knew within minutes of talking to Caroline that we wanted her at our wedding. She immediately felt like a friend and an extremely prepared professional. In the planning process, she made herself as available as we needed and in the days leading up to the wedding she checked in with us and put us at ease. She was so available it didn’t matter if she was grocery shopping or walking her dog, she always picked up the phone. The weather was making us very nervous, and she not only relaxed us in how prepared she was, but also reminded us that nothing, not even rain could ruin our day, only stress and that was what helped us remember to go with the flow. And she was right. The rain held up and taking photos with Caroline, the weather barely occurred to us all day.

During shooting, Caroline made us so relaxed. She complimented us in a genuine way that made us put our guard down, she fixed things if they didn’t look right. She got shots of the most intimate and memorable moments of the day without us even remembering she was there. She sent us a sneak peak photo the next morning that was so breathtaking and emotional that it brought us to tears.

She stayed late and captured a surprise Pakistani dance our family did for us. She checked in with us when she needed to but made decisions when we relied on her. She listened so well and handled our sometimes complicated family dynamics with grace. We were her top priority all day. She had incredible attention to detail - from making sure my shoulders didn’t look too tense and that I remembered my bouquet, to capturing moments and details we didn’t even think of.

I had a last minute request to do a first look with my dad and she made it happen on a tight timeline. She also made sure we got our sunset photos in despite our speeches going so long because she knew how important they were to us.

She was always in the right space at the right time. She worked so well with our other vendors, and she was truly our favorite person to work with. I can’t wait for our next big event so she can help make it even more special by capturing our favorite moments.
