I cannot say enough good things about Carly as a photographer. She was the photographer for my proposal and the photos came out absolutely stunning. Not only did she capture the special moment perfectly, but she also made the entire experience so easy and enjoyable for myself and my new fiancé. Carly has a great eye for detail and composition, and she was able to make the most beautiful memories for us to treasure forever. I highly recommend Carly for any photography needs, she is truly one of the best!

Carly helped me plan and execute the perfect surprise proposal. My fiancé and I are both so incredibly awkward in front of cameras, but Carly made us feel so comfortable and made it such a fun time. Her communication and attitude was so amazing and easy to work with. We are a LGBTQ+ couple, and she was very accepting and made us feel celebrated. On top of all that, her pictures ended up being way better than we could ever imagine! 10/10 would recommend!

Carly provided great balance of professional and personable! Sessions are so seamless with her great directions. Her work is gorgeous and pictures are more than we could have ever imagined- we can’t decide which to print first!

We couldn’t be happier that we chose Carly as our wedding photographer here in Charleston! From our very first phone conversation, Carly was such a joy to work with. She took the time to understand our vision, meet with us multiple times before the wedding, and even crafted a wedding schedule that we ended up preferring over our planner’s version. She also found the most perfect locations for our engagement photos!!

On the big day, Carly was a dream to work with. She was joyful, fun, and friendly with all our family and guests throughout the day, so even our larger family shoots were stress-free. When we received our photos, we were blown away by how beautifully she captured the joy and emotions of our day. We did not have to spend a ton of time on a shot list or instructions - Carly has an amazing knack for capturing all the best moments and I loved how her style of photos reflected each part of the day.

What made the experience even more special was opting to also work with Carly’s fantastic second shooter and iPhone-videographer. Having additional perspectives and candid videos has given us such precious memories to look back on.

If you are searching for a photographer who is not only talented but also genuinely invested in supporting with all the planning and conversations to make your day perfect, look no further than Carly. She went above and beyond our expectations, and we are so grateful for her incredible work.

It took me a while to write this review because I just don’t feel like any words do Carly’s work justice. Believe it or not, this is the “short” version because I wanted to be sure people actually read it!

Fun, thoughtful, insightful, breathtaking, ethereal, moody, artistic… Carly and everything she does is incredible.
I have never liked pictures of myself but my biggest problem with Carly’s work is that I can never decide on which picture I want to post to social media. She goes above and beyond what I even knew I wanted in the first place, creating a new standard for what I expect of what I’m going to get and then blows that out of the water again the next time.

I hired Carly nearly two years ago to photograph our wedding and since then have asked her to photograph me/me & my (now) husband multiple times since because I can’t stop loving her work and how she makes me feel. She makes me feel beautiful and confident and comfortable. Her photographs and demeanor actually make me love myself every time I come out of working with her.

We’ve now used Carly for our engagement photos, my professional photos (not something she does but did as a special gift), and our wedding and I 100% plan to use her for every photo session for the rest of our lives. We live four hours away and I will absolutely be driving to her for maternity sessions, Christmas cards, what have you. I cannot imagine booking anyone else.

I absolutely could not recommend Carly enough. It would be a mistake not to hire her.

I wish that I had 5 extra stars to give Carly. My wife and I had a very intimate and unconventional wedding, so I was sort of nervous about having somebody there that I didn't know. After this experience, I can't imagine having the wedding without Carly and her second shooter there. She was so immediately disarming and managed to make everyone feel comfortable as soon as she walked in the door. She was super professional and confident in what she was doing. The photos came back quickly and they're amazing, they perfectly capture the vibe of the evening. Carly is literally the best, you'd absolutely be making the right choice to hire her!

On September 16th I married my best friend, but on September 17th I referred to Carly as "the light of my life." I completely stand by that. (And my husband totally gets it. She's the best.)

Carly was so communicative leading up to the wedding, and on the day of she made every person she interacted with so comfortable. Our wedding was perfect, and I genuinely attribute part of that to having Carly and her second shooter Janice there. They came in with such an amazing energy, and left us with stunning photos and absolutely cherished videos.

I could not have asked for a better experience with her, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. If you're considering hiring Carly: DO IT!!!

Carly is super friendly and flexible. I told her last minute that I also wanted to shoot in a second location that wasn’t all that close to the first one. She said no problem without hesitation. She also answered all my questions about outfit choices which took away my stress. The photos came out incredible!

Carly did a wonderful job shooting our engagement pictures! She came prepared with some thought out poses and even a prop or two to make us feel as comfortable as possible throughout the process. We had so much fun taking the pictures & will cherish the memories Carly was able to capture of this season in our lives in one of our favorite parts of Charleston. She was very timely with the edits, which was great as we were eager to share the pictures with our families!

Great experience, Carly knew exactly where to go and what to do. Got a bunch of natural looking and beautiful photos. HIRE HER!!
