Our families are still talking about our wedding!

Had the weekend summercamp wedding of our dreams! Carter and the whole team are so welcoming and professional. The attention to detail was amazing. I had a vision, explained it to them, and they made it happen! We also had the camp cater the entire weekend, and the food was amazing! If you're thinking of booking this venue, do it!

Absolutely Amazing!!

Where to begin. If you're the type of couple who is considering a camp-style wedding, Camp Schodack is it. It sounded great on a paper, and exceeded all of our expectations in execution.

We have big families, and really wanted a full weekend to spend time with them. Having sufficient time for our families and friends to get to know each other was a high priority for us. Everyone arrived Friday morning and stayed through Sunday. There was so much to do, that everyone left wanting more. All of our guests had such a blast, and it was so much fun seeing different family and friends interacting for the first time while taking part in all Camp Schodack has to offer (go-karts, archery range, zip line, rock wall, slip and slide, tennis courts, driving range, and the list goes on). Lots of great friendships were formed through friendly competition.

Another big selling point for us was sufficient indoor space should we have had poor weather. Fortunately we lucked out and avoided all rain, but, it was nice not worrying about it.

The ceremony itself was perfect. The amphitheater was a beautiful location.

The majority of our friends and family stayed on site which was nice that everyone could go back to their cabins to change or refresh throughout the weekend which helped keep everyone going. We'll never forget the late nights out by the bonfire and playing cornhole/KanJam/Spikeball under the lights well past 2am.

The meals were great. Some our guests had low expectations for 'camp food,' but all we heard on that front was positive feedback. Camp Schodack was really helpful when it came to picking out menus, and each meal had something for everyone.

The welcome center was a such a great spot to welcome everyone as they arrived. People could pull up, park, and load their things into a golf cart to be taken to their cabin. It was fun seeing everyone so excited to begin such a unique wedding weekend.

We worked with Carter throughout the planning process and weekend-of, and he couldn't have been more amazing to work with. He was very responsive and thorough in answering any questions we had. It was clear how much he cared about making sure everyone had a good time, and was constantly asking if there was anything else he could do. Having someone so great to work with made this awesome venue even better. Aside from Carter, every single staff member we interacted with was so friendly and helpful and our guests had nothing but high praise of all the camp staff.

We've already had requests from a decent amount of guests to do a reunion weekend in a few years and do the whole thing over again (without a ceremony). We might have to do just that.

Bottom line: if you're looking for a wedding that can accommodate a large number of guests, maximize time spent with your family and friends, and want to have an awesome time your entire wedding weekend, you won't regret going with Camp Schodack.

Perfect summer camp wedding weekend!

When we started the wedding planning process, we knew we wanted to completely re-invent what a wedding could be. We wanted our friends and families to kick back, get to know each other, and maybe get out of their comfort zones a little. We wanted something informal and rustic but that could still be beautiful and scenic. Camp Schodack made all of this possible and more! The entire team worked so hard (particular shoutout to Terry, Josh, Yan, Anneta, and Matt who are all family to us now) to make our weekend perfect and boy, did they deliver! We have such incredible memories of our outdoor ceremony surrounded by the forest with the crickets chirping, our friends jumping down the slip and slide, our little cousins learning to rock climb on the climbing wall, dancing the night away at our reception in the dining hall, and singing around the campfire. Simpy put, we couldn't have asked for anything better. If you are looking for an activity-packed yet tranquil wedding weekend, Camp Schodack is the place to tie the knot!
