We chose Cafe Sweets Bakery to create our wedding cake, because we LOVE their cakes. They supply cakes to a great coffee spot right next door to them, and so we've had a slice or two of the coconut cake. We've always thought, "that is the most amazing coconut cake we have ever had in our lives!" We knew that we had to check them out for our wedding cake. The cake lady is Carla. When we had our tasting, they provided us with around 20 different mini cupcakes. We chose a 3-tier wedding cake, and each tier ended up being different. The largest was our favorite, the coconut, the middle was red velvet and the top tier was carrot. During the tasting, I provided Carla a picture of the cake I wanted from Pinterest. She gave us a quote and we were able to split the total into 2 payments. I delivered our cake topper at my convenience. I was so nervous about seeing our cake on our wedding day, and I remember asking my groom about it after our ceremony. He said, "wait until you see it, I was there when Carla delivered it, and told her it was gorgeous." When I saw it for the first time, I was absolutely awstruck. Carla not only decorated the cake spot-on to the picture I provided her, but it was absolutely stunning. When we cut the cake, we cut a slice of the coconut and took a bite. It was unbelievably delicious. I have to admit, I was skeptical that it wouldn't be dry, or be as good as we normally think it is, but I had no reason to worry. Every tier was super moist and delicious, to the point where everyone, including our venue coordinator was asking me who made it. I have never been to a wedding where everyone raves about the cake, and I'm happy to say that mine was the first!! I highly recommend this bakery, and Carla, as your event cake maker. She is friendly, genuine, professional and has a deep passion for what she does. We love her!
