Cafe Cortina is a beautiful wedding event venue located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Founded on the site of a former apple orchard, this stunning outdoor venue has a history that spans almost five decades. Now, the property resembles an Italian countryside vineyard which offers a warm and relaxed ambiance for rustic wedding styles. The indoor dining rooms and outdoor patios will help create a perfectly elegant setting for wedding celebrations, engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, or wedding receptions. With the ability to accommodate between 24 to 150 guests, Café Cortina offers a timeless setting for intimate wedding celebrations. Wedding ceremonies will take place by the indoor or outdoor fireplaces. During warmer months, wedding ceremonies and receptions take place on the outdoor patios.

Truly Amazing!

We had our small afternoon wedding (45 people) at Cafe Cortina on July 8th & could not have been more impressed by the food, service, and atmosphere. Our guests raved about the attentiveness of the staff, the delicious food, and beautiful grounds at Cafe Cortina! The day of the wedding just before the ceremony began, it started to rain. Kelley was very accommodating and quickly changed the ceremony location from the outdoor patio to the covered tent. It turned out beautiful! During the ceremony the rain trickled on the tent and it created a very romantic atmosphere. The rain ended up clearing after the ceremony and our guests were able to walk around outside on the patios. Leading up to our wedding, I appreciated the responsiveness from Kelley to answer all of our questions. She met with us in person to go over the timeline, layout, and all details for the day of. We had our guests complete preorders for their meal selection, which I think helped with the flow of the reception. The duration of the reception was just the right amount of time to take photos, mingle with guests, and enjoy the day. What took us by surprise was the amazing service we all experienced during the entire reception. I had never seen anything like it! The food portions are very generous & Cafe Cortina even boxed up our leftovers and we enjoyed it later on that night. Highly recommend Cafe Cortina to anyone who is looking for an intimate ceremony and reception spot that offers quality food, service, and a beautiful scenery. Thank you Cafe Cortina for making our day so special!

My dream wedding

This past weekend I had my wedding ceremony and dinner at Cafe Cortina and it was just perfect! Thank you to Kelley, the event coordinator, and the entire staff. Kelley made sure the entire event was exactly what I had requested, it was my dream turned into reality. Thanks again to the entire team.

The Perfect Wedding Venue

If you are looking for a unique, intimate and romantic venue, something different from the average catering hall, Café Cortina is the venue for you. Words cannot describe how gorgeous this venue is. We added flowers and candles to the tables, which was all we needed since the rooms were already stunning on their own. A majority of our wedding photos were taken at the venue because of how gorgeous it was. We had our ceremony on the patio, and it felt as if we were getting married in a romantic secret garden. We also had our dancing outside and my guests loved it. The food left my guests and I speechless, in an amazing way! Instead of your typical catering hall where you get a choice of meat, chicken or fish, we were allowed to choose from 6 different menu options and let me tell you, it was not easy to choose. My guests are still raving about how incredible the food was. The service was also amazing. Kelley, the event coordinator at the venue helped make my dream wedding a reality. She made planning an out of state wedding stress free.

Outstanding Service & Outstanding Food

We had to change our wedding reception plans to be hosted at Cafe Cortina at the last minute due to the pandemic, and wow was it amazing. Kelley and the rest of the staff is a dream to work with. So professional, polite, and accommodating. Even when it started hailing, no one blinked an eye, just did what had to be done to keep everyone safe. Kelley literally took care of everything so we could have a stress-free day.

The food is also absolutely amazing. So fresh and expertly prepared. All of our guests raved that this was the best wedding meal they've ever had. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves, and felt very safe the entire time. There's also a great outdoor patio space available as well that would be great for large groups. We barely needed to bring-in any decorations because the space is so beautiful!

Wedding ceremony and reception

My daughter wanted a small wedding with a casual vibe and Cafe Cortina was perfect. Planning a wedding during Covid was very stressful, but Kelley remained our calm support throughout. Keeping our guests as safe as possible was a top priority and Cafe Cortina accommodated our request to reschedule. They also allowed us to put a tent in the parking lot so guests could remain outside in case of rain. The venue is beautiful, and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend Cafe Cortina for your special event. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing food and service

Our wedding was perfect. The planning process went smoothly and Kelley was super helpful and responsive to our needs and requests. The waitstaff is so professional and our guests were impressed by both the venue itself as well as the amazing food. We’ve had several guests comment that they’ve never had better food at a wedding. The patio and garden room were beautiful all lit up for the evening and the fireplace was warm and cozy. The entire evening was more than we could have ever dreamed up or expected. I’m sure we’ll be back to Café Cortina for many anniversary dinners in the future to relive this magical night.

Beyond Amazing

We just had our wedding at Cafe Cortina and we couldn't be happier with our decision. From start to finish, we were met with professionalism, great communication, and personalized attention. The staff was beyond attentive and the food was amazing. We were treated with such service! The wedding experience itself was like a fairy tale. The patio was so beautiful and the inside was magical. It was such a unique and intimate experience. Highly reccommended!

Like a fairytale!

My husband had proposed to me at Cafe Cortina and we kept talking about how beautiful the venue is. The patio is something out of a fairytale. On the day of our wedding, everyone commented on how beautiful the setting was and how we managed to decorate the venue to look the way it did. We hardly decorated aside from the centerpieces on the table. They were so accommodating. The service was excellent. The food was amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a unique venue!

My husband and I and our families are beyond grateful for the generosity of Rina and the rest of the staff at Cafe Cortina. Everything was breathtakingly beautiful. The food was beyond delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. Our guests were completely blown away, and many said that this was the best wedding food and service they've ever experienced--and the best food and service, period. One of my aunts commented that she's never been to a wedding where the waitstaff actually placed the napkin on her lap and kept water glass full. A friend said that she felt like she was a special guest at the restaurant, as opposed to most weddings where you don't really receive personal attention from the staff. People raved about every single course, and my mom is still getting phone calls from family and friends who say that they'll be coming back to the restaurant to dine.

Throughout this whole process, Rina was patient with my fiance and I; not only were we planning the wedding from out of state, but we kept going back and forth about the kind of wedding we wanted to have (more guests or less? dancing or not? lunch or dinner?). She gave us many option to accommodate our wishes and needs. I highly recommend Rina and Cafe Cortina for out of state brides (and in state, too, obviously, but she's very flexible and effective at working with brides who can't come to the restaurant in person very often). We didn't happen to use these vendors because we already had found our own, but Rina can even suggest vendors for you, from flowers to cakes, to officiants.

It's a really unique wedding venue, too; the garden patio is lovely, the dining rooms are both beautiful and don't really require much additional decoration (no need to spend money on chair covers or elaborate centerpieces). And most importantly (at least in our opinion) your wedding food will not be "wedding food"--it's high quality, made to order, delicious food that you and your guests will love.
